Hi folks, not sure if anyone has ever experienced this but I will try my luck here. When I initially purchased my Sonos Amp, I intended to use a third party sub. I hooked up a Polk sub using the RCA cable and it worked fine. However when I try to use it again (watch TV through HDMI) or listen to music, the “Sub Audio” menu went missing and subwoofer is not working in the first couple minutes. As shown below in the picture, the sub menu no where to be found. After about 5-6 minutes, the sub menu appears and I can start hearing subwoofer now. Seen below.Over the next couple days it always happened, whenever there is sound playing in Sonos Amp, the sub comes in after a few minutes went by. During the process, I did not raise the Amp volume or touch anything on the subwoofer sideAny idea why this is happening? Thanks in advance!
I am trying to find a way of playing music from my iPhone via my Sonos One speaker at a location where cellular data is available but there is no LAN or internet connectivity available via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. Is it possible to use a Sonos One on a closed network without internet connectivity? Or does Airplay necessarily rely on being able to connect to the Sonos cloud? If so, exactly what hardware do I need to create a Wi-Fi signal that I can use to connect to the speaker via Airplay? Or is there a way I can turn a cellular data signal into a Wi-Fi signal and for it to behave like a regular local area WI-Fi network?
This is extremely frustrating.Installed new wifi last night - went to reconnect my sonos speakers and used the prescribed process - found an ethernet cable, hooked it up, nothing, over and over again for an hour - two different speakers same problem. So I finally got fed up with it and reset the speakers using the hold play button while plugging it back in until green LED shows up. Hey guess what? that doesn’t work either.I’ve tried every combination of wired and wireless to set these up on my network. “Resetting the router” isn’t really an option since my kids are e-learners. I’m using an AT&T (Arris?) modem/router with Circle Home Pro connected that feeds to Google WiFi (3 nodes). App is installed on iPhone XR. This all worked fine prior to last night. I have reset the speakers and the apps multiple times. When wired, it gets to the step that it says connecting your speaker and then says lost the connection and nothing can get past that step. When wireless, it gets through Wi
I've seen lots of stuff on this subject but not understood much. I've set up a mesh system using TP-Link Deco. The one thing that doesn't connect is the expensive Sonos kit, natch.I don't want to connect it using an ethernet cable (it's why I bought a WiFi enabled speaker system) but even if I did, it doesn't work. The sonos S1 app on my phone is telling me to connect a speaker to the router but it isn't finding it - just Searching for Product.Any non technical help would be appreciated
I’ve just bought 2x S1 speakers and an Arc for my tv room. Throughout the rest of my house I have old S1 app-compatible amps and bridges etc. and an S2 compatible Sub. These all worked fine until...I installed the S2 app on my phone with a view to using that for the TV room. But now I can't pair the S1 speakers because the app says it requires an update (the first speaker works ok though). When the app begins its update it fails with an error code 30 (ie it detects non-S2 compatible devices). Ok, so to remedy this I open up the S1 app to try and remove the S2 compatible products (the Sub) but the app says I first need to perform an update. This then gets through to the finishing up stage then gives me the error code 9 (unable to update because of S1 incompatible products being detected)… I’m now caught in a never-ending loop from hell and can’t set up the new S2 compatible products properly.Any ideas before I completely lose it with Sonos (which is sad given I’ve been a huge fan for
I have a 2 room system. In the kitchen i have a Sonos One. It’s the speaker that is the furthest away from the router. About 5 meters and a thick stone wall in between. In the livingroom I have s Sub and 2 Symfonisk. They all stand within a 1-2 meter radius from the router. These 3 keeps loosing the sound. While playing music on the whole system the kitchen works fine but the speakers closest to the router keeps loosing the connection. What is wrong?
We have speakers in different rooms throughout the house plus a home theater system. Over the past couple of days the speakers have slowly disappeared from the app. I once had 5 different ones and now I am down to 2. I try to add them back in and nothing is found. I have turned them off etc. what the heck. Nothing has changed in our WiFi or anything else in the last couple days. Help!
New Sonos Fives (stereo pair) finally installed and wondering if I missed something in setup from app. Things went to plan until I had to push “the flashing green and white button”. That light doesn’t have a visible button but thought all 3 icons are just touch sensitive so 10 presses on one speaker before unpacking the other for 10 more futile presses. App shows Five image on 1 Setup screen but 2nd image on next screen (closeup of button) shows button not on a Five (different Sonos product?). Retraced app instructions and went to website for same troubleshooting tips. Chat was another waste as I’m following instruction and typing another response when chat closed due to inactivity ( 3 sentences typed). Phone in support finally pulls back the veil by saying the button is on the back next to the power cord. Viola!SummaryPhone support worked great. Still had to use wifes iPhone for setup as Android (Galaxy 10) wouldn’t connect. Correct me if I missed something but App setup seems
Our Sonos system is about 2 years old and includes a Connect which Chanel’s our stereo system and two Sonos Ones. I found the old system finicky, but this new System 2 is even worse. The Connect will connect to our wireless network briefly and then lose it. It is close to a Roku that is wireless and with with we have very few connection problems unless there is heavy internet traffic. I have updated the components of the new system and keep reinstalling the Connect. But it will not stay connected. Very frustrating!! Help!
Hi,I have used a Sonos Play:1 for some years now, but when I moved to a new house my Play:1 hasn’t worked properly with alarms since, while with playbacks of all kinds (streaming or from external media such as external hard disk connected to router) it has been doing great.I have searched and read many topics on this and tried rebooting my router, checking wi-fi signal in the house (very good, it’s a small flat on just one level), changing channels (both SonosNet’s and router’s, tried 1, 6 and 11), changing stations (Sonos Radio instead of TuneIn), but nothing seems to solve this.In the old house I used also a Bridge, so I tried to use that again but to no avail. I updated Play:1 to Sonos S2 app but also this wasn’t useful. The thing I cannot explain to myself is, that while radio stations start playing when I set the alarm (usually in the morning, say, at 7.30am), they very frequently stutter, or stop altogether, sometimes some minutes later, sometimes even half an hour or one hour lat
Static noise coming from Sonos. Diagnostic report number 324301701
I am currently in Haiti. My Sonos AMP connect plays music via soundcloud, but will not play all the music that I look up. It says that the access is denied. I tried changing my VPN to a US VPN and it works on Soundcloud, but not my (Soundcloud) SONOS S1 app. Can this problem be fixed or will it not work?
My Sonos devices are unavailable on random occasions. No obvious pattern. I am playing music on the Sonos One in my kitchen try to add another room to the group and get the message ‘Unable to connect to device. Try again later’ (see screenshot below) All other wireless devices (phones, PCs, iPads, radiators, cctv etc) work fine, only Sonos seems to have this issue. Does anyone have any ideas? When every other device works fine I feel this is likely to be a Sonos issue rather than anything else. I’m really getting a bit fed up with this problem randomly occurring, especially considering the amount this equipment costs. Ideally I would like to email the below screenshot to Sonos and ask them to look into it but I can’t seem to find a support email address.I submitted a diagnostic report with reference: 787715455 if anyone can do anything with that.Any ideas welcome!
I’ve been using Sonos for 8 years now, with 10+ devices, and never had any issues. I have always had either a bridge, or hardwired one speaker into my router. I purchased a mesh WiFi a few weeks ago, and upon initial setup, everything on my Sonos network was working great. I had hardwired one of my speakers into a node that was being used as a bridge. Within the last few days I’ve been having all sorts of troubles with my Sonos. Today, my iPhone shows all my devices present, but my iPad only shows 4 devices. My surround (setup as basement) says that it is not configured, and one of the speakers does not play anything. I realize that this is probably having to do with the mesh setup (which I have since uninstalled), but I have no idea how to get things back to the way they were. Any help would be appreciated, as I’m at my wits end!
I got error 107 when iu tried add music form my NAS to SONOS listHow to fix it?
Hi, I’m trying to connect a used Boost and I can’t connect it to my wifi, I rebooted the Boost, rested the router, used different cable and still saying your Sonos product was not found!
I have a Linksys Velop Mesh system in my home connected to my Xfinity modem. I also have a guest network for a separate access point for the tenants in the adjoining duplex. My Sonos system can’t see the primary network created by the mesh system. On other threads people have suggested going into ‘bridge’ mode in order for Sonos to be able to see the mesh network. But as I understand it, bridge mode would close the separate access point I created for my tenants and put us all on the same access point. Is there an alternative to ‘bridge mode’ for Sonos to be able to see my mesh network without losing my other access point to bridge mode?
Bought a brand new Sonos Move from Sonos. (already have one) and upon setting it up it does not seem to charge. It has been on the charging ring for 6 hours and the red/amber charging light is just flashing. I tried putting it on my other Move charging ring but no different. Very frustrating… Any tips on how to resolve this? Thanks!
My Symfonisk made a random noise when we weren’t using it. It only lasted a second or so and sounded like interference. A few minutes later it happened. After it happening three times I unplugged the Sonos but it strangely still happened after it was unplugged. The diagnostic number is 987395047. Would anyone be able to tell me what’s going on?
Hello all, I have a play 3 that has disappeared from my sonos network all of a sudden. The flashing light-type is not familiar. It is a quick blip-flash, not the normal, steady flashing white light I have dealt with now and then over the years. I have gone as far as attempting a full factory reset to defaults by unplugging and holding the mute button while re-plugging back in to no avail. I have also had an ethernet cable connected directly during troubleshooting. I am suspecting a bad power supply. Any other suggesstions? And if replacement parts might be needed, is it worth it? This play 3 I’m guessing is around 7-8 years old
Hi all. So I got the Sonos one(three of them) and the sub. I did the initial setup and all was good. One day the app wouldn’t connect to Sonos and now I have tried reconnecting all of the products… it always says… product it isn’t shown.. unplug and replug to finish setup. I have connected all to WiFi (same network) I unplug and plug back in… still undiscoverable. When I initially set it up it asked what room it was in and all that. Now it lets me add system… I hear the thing, connect to WiFi successfully….then nothing. Please let me know if you have had this issue. I have the arc in the way and am currently unable to enjoy my system.
The light is also flashing orange
Hello, I have lagging problem with my sound Sonos system. Since I installed TIDAL PREMIUM (HIFI LOSELESS HIGH QUALITY AUDIO FLAC) I listen to quality music and since then my sound has not stopped lagging. I also lose random speakers and it comes back after a few seconds especially when I skip or move the music forward or back. I communicated with 2 sonos technical specialist and this is what we did:-Android update, -Sonos S2 update,-Reset router,-Reset all speakers,-Use direct ethernet cable to speaker,-Uninstall apps,-Play FLAC files alone on my phone (NO TIDAL),-Disable compressed mode. → All this do not solve the problem at all!! Take note that I have 3th generation sonos speakers. I also have newest genration wifi with 8 antenna mesh router with high speed 450Mbts (real test).I also have the GALAXY S20 cell phone well updated without battery safe mode… Both test with TIDAL and FLAC AUDIO FILES on my cell phone create lagging issue on my sonos system. The problem never occur if I us
Really frustrated with the system fora few months now.The whole system keeps disappearing! I’m having to switch off my WiFi and then back on again to try to find it. It’s happening more and more. Spoke to Sonos and sent a diagnostic but nothing turned up.It can be playing but when I go to add another song the whole system goes again!!Hate having problems with Sonos and this is the worst I’ve had.
I’ve changed my wifi password using iphone app for S1. Tried to play music and a pop-up notice advised it can’t find server. On my mac, I’ve opened S1 app and no music library just pop-up box headed sonos set-up; existing or new. I selected connect to existing but it states system not found. I’m unable to connect an ethernet cable as have 3 amps with entwined wiring in the wall and my router and bridge are not close enough. I’ve updated my sonos when I’ve changed my wifi password before. Don’t understand why this is so different. Before I throw my sonos in the bin, are there other options?
