Amazon Alexa and Sonos

Acabo de comprar un Sonos play1 y al intentarlo conectar al echo dot (Alexa) no deja por qué el skill tiene restricción para Colombia , existe alguna solución ? Precisamente lo compre para poder ir integrando el sonido de casa y manejarlo por voz. Espero exista una solución o se pueda dar acceso al skill en Colombia muy pronto .

Just subscribed to Apple Music Family.  Daughter has a Play 1 in her room, and an Echo Dot. She has added her Apple Music profile to our Sonos account. But Alexa won’t play any of her playlists, it just picks something it things will suffice. It will play my playlists on her Sonos just fine, but not her playlists. Not sure what to do?

I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong but I want to play music on all my devices simultaneously.  I have the following:(1) Amazon Show(1) Amazon Echo(2) Sonos Play:1(2) Sonos One (Gen2) Can someone please help? 

I Had the two ones in my living room set up as a stereo pair with alexa and that was working fine with alexa. Today I received my Arc and Sub. Its working fine as far as I can tell, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get alexa onto the Arc. Every time I try to add voice assistant in the app, i get to the alexa getting started button. When I press it, i get “There was a problem adding Alexa”. I went through the trouble of unpairing the surrounds, figuring their registration could have been causing a problem. No luck.On an semi-related note, I have three ones upstairs. I have an Alexa group called “Upstairs” with all three set as preferred speakers. When I tell Alexa to play music upstairs, only one speaker will play.

Hi,   I’m new to posting so please be patient.  ta.  We have an extensive Sonos investment, with the iTunes library on a NAS to play whatever we want around the house.  We are also starting to experiment with home automation.  We have a Sonos One, specifically for a bathroom, the idea being that we can select music, change volume, etc, without needing a screen.  We discovered that the only way to get local music to play was to install Plex on the NAS, so now we can say “Alexa, tell plex to play Witness by Katy Perry”, which works mostly….  However, the Echo we are trying doesn’t behave the same.  “Alexa, tell plex to play Katy Perry” results in the Echo playing the music.  A small speaker isn’t the same as Sonos.  This is why we have Sonos.  “Alexa, play Katy Perry in the Master Bedroom” results in the iHeart Radio service playing the Katy Perry “station”, on the correct Sonos speaker.  So.  Several years ago this was published on the community.“Your Amazon Alexa devices are listening

I have had various Sonos Ones for some time. All of a sudden Alexa is no longer connecting to either Spotify or TuneIn. You give the instruction, Alexa confirms the request…….but then silence. I have changed voice assistants to Google.... same result. I have removed both accounts and re-set….same result.  I have called Sonos and they say responsibility lies with Amazon. I have called Amazon and they say responsibility lies with Sonos. Given that I have the same issue with Google Assistant, I suspect this is something to do with Sonos. PLEASE HELP - I JUST WANT TO ASK ALEXA TO PLAY SOME MICHAEL BUBLE!

I have been unable to change the timer tones under settings in my sonos one device. I can change it to a different tone but it never changes it

Hi, When i ask Alexa to start music, i said “Alexa, Music”, she said “music playback by deezer”But nothing else...what is the pb ? My Deezer account is connected, i can play music threw the app Sonos….Thank’s for your help

Any help on this would be appreciated.My system is all linked & I am able to use my Amazon Echo Dot/Sonos Move to start music playing via Spotify.However this only seems to work on one speaker at a time?I have Spotify premium and I am able to play from both speakers when using the Sonos app. It would be great to be able to use Alexa to control both.Error message displayed below:  

HiI have three Sonos Ones (S2) all with Alexa enabled.  The problem is whenever I ask Alexa to play music it comes out of the Sonos in my Kitchen regardless of where I ask i.e I ask in the bedroom to listen to music and it comes on it kitchen whereas I want to listen On the unit I ask in the bedroom. Any help would be appreciated,Dean

is there anyway i can turn alexa up it is so quiet i really cant hear it , im on the latest update for the software but cant find no volume to to turn it up on my phone , the arc is connected to the tv HDMI  in ARC 4 and i have a samsung tv

I have numerous Sonos devices and all three of my children have Sonos “Alexa Enabled” devices but it seems it is not possible for my children to independently use Alexa to control their speakers and listen to their music from their own Family Spotify account. I, like many parents, do not want my kids to have phones in their rooms and absolutely want them to be able to ask Alexa to play their own music without the need for a mobile device. I have set everyone in the family up with their own Alexa account and assigned them to their own Spotify account then tried to assign different Alexa accounts to each of the kids speakers but this “breaks” the Alexa integration. (I have been online with a Sonos support agent who tells me the Sonos app does not work with multiple Alexa accounts - even though it allows you to set it this way) I have considered detaching their speakers from my Sonos system and setting each child up with their own Sonos accounts so they have their own Sonos, Spotify and A

Hii have a weird issue with Apple Music on a Sonos OneI’ve just got an eero mesh network and reset everything. Apple Music is linked and set as default, as is Alexa all synced nicely and can play from Sonos 2 app but when I say “Alex play x” it responds and says “playing x on Apple Music” but it doesn’t play anything. When using airplay through Sonos Alexa won’t pause/skip tracks etc…any help gratefully received. Thanks 

I’m very frustrated.  My Sonos move hears some “Alexa” calls I make to start a command but not others. Sometimes I have to say “Alexa” four times to get her to start to “listen” even if I’m right next to the Move.  I’ve rebooted and changed position of Move, any ideas on how to make the mic more responsive on a continuous basis?  My echo was way better at hearing me.    thanks 

Alexa is available in Brazil for about 4 months. However, sonos skill is not accessible in the alexa app for a brazilian account. I used to control my sonos devices by using an Unites States account, but as soon as i migrate my account to Brazil i lost the sonos skill. At first i was able to ask for songs by the alexa even in portuguese. Unfortunately, it stop to work two weeks ago. As there is no more sonos skill, i can’t reconfigure my sonos devices. Are there any plans to make sonos skill available for the brazilian users of sonos? At least in order to discover the devices, cause if the devices are available as a alexa device, it is possible to ask for songs as i used to do. Thanks in advance, Gustavo Denardin

Hi I'm having difficulty with a sonos one and a connect amp. I have ceiling speakers fed by a connect amp and I want to add a sonos one for voice control. I want to be have them both function as one so that I can say ‘alexa play whatever’ and it will be output by both the one and the ceiling speakers. Can anyone advise how to set it up please? Many thanks. 

On a play one or one using Alexa to play Virgin Radio causes the sound to constantly drop out, using the command play virgin radio using tuenin works perfectly. I suspect the Virgin Radio Alexa skill has problems

Is there a command for my Echo Dot that will mute whatever is playing (for example) 5 minutes? At the end of the 5 minutes, I would like the Dot to continue to play automatically. I have tried all types of commands and the Dot will mute but never comes back on unless I command “Play” Thanks 

Hi,I have a Sonos Amp and two Alexa enabled devices (Echo Show 8 and Echo 4th gen). The Amp is in my dining room connected to two bookshelf speakers. The Echo is in my living room, and the Show is in my bedroom.  I’d like to group the Amp and all my Alexa devices together so when I play music, it’s heard all over my apartment. So far, the only group I’ve been able to figure out is just the Alexa devices. Is it possible to group these together in the way I want? 

Several years ago, I read on the forum that if you started streaming Deezer using a voice command from an Alexa device (button), the Deezer stream would not be FLAC.  I paste the response from that thread below:“Alexa will play Deezer in 320 kbps AAC/MP3 formats, not FLAC. This doesn't change based on account type. A stream started using the Sonos app will be at the higher quality formats which you can then change to the next queued track, or skip songs using Alexa. Along with the other Alexa standard controls.”However, someone from SONOS customer support most recently told me in phone call that this was not true.I am unsure who to believe.  Can anyone clarify?Thanks. 

Hii recently buy Arc and need to setup the Alexa, in Sonos App S2 I can not find any voice services listed in the service section, I tried to setup disable the skill and deregister from Amazon but again not showing any voice service in Sonos App ?! please help

So i have created an Alexa “Good morning” routine (listening on an Echo Dot) to play music on my Sonos Speaker (Play 1) using the example “Ed Shearan On [Enter Sonos Speaker Name Here]”However the music is played at the last volume of that Speaker…. How can i get the Routine to set the Volume of the Sonos Speaker before playing the music?

Ho Alexa come assistente vocale sul mio Sonos one, funziona ma se richiedo di ascoltare musica o una stazione, mi conferma la richiesta ma non sento niente, viceversa informazioni tipo orario, meteo etc funzionano benissimo, come posso risolvere?Grazie

First off I did read the announcement and thread for “Sonos Now Playing with Alexa Groups” and understand Alexa can group Sonos speakers together in a group or echo speakers in a group, but can’t mix sonos and echos speakers in a group. I want to be able to group ceiling speakers on a covered patio with a soundbar connected to the TV in my family room so that I can play the same music in the family room as the outside patio, or just use them independently to watch tv in the family room or listen to music outside.  If I put the Sonos Arc soundbar in the family room, and get a Sonos amp to power the speakers on the covered patio, could I connect the Arc and the Sonos Amp speakers in the same group? Could I also connect an echo dot to the Sonos Amp so that those covered speakers are essentially voice controlled via Alexa?
