Voice control and smart home

I have a client that wants to use Alexa with his sonos. We he's ask the speaker to play music it will play on the play 1 only.Will Alexa ply my music to all sonos products or just the play 1? 

Sonos update and new app installed.The new app drops connection frequently with a pair of Sonos Speakers I have and now, I am unable to play any BBC Radio stations which all played perfectly well using Amazon Alexa. A Amazon device I have works just fine.Up until five days ago I was able to use my Sonos speakers to connect via Alexa to any Radio station, which was the main reason for buying these Sonos Speakers! I’ve spent over four full days now de-registering and re-setting these devices to no avail and I am very angry.These very expensive Sonos speakers have now effectivly been rendered useless.What’s going in Sonos?

Having jumped into the infuriating and exhilarating world of smart living/iot etc (yes, I have no life) slightly late, I have set up GA on my iPad (and I have the clumps of hair in my hand to prove it). I think I have it now: my Play:5s (Gen2) will never have voice assistant like my Beam but with an iPad and GA, or with one of Google’s speaker mics, I can control the speakers all the same, with voice. I assume there is no way to control the usual Sonos parameters through the Google Assistant app using gestures, ie with my finger?  I can do this with Hue compat lights etc. but the Sonos speakers do not have any control (except the Beam which has on off for the linked TV). Yeah, I know the Sonos app is right next to GA, but it still would be nice to simplify these tasks, given that was the idea, I gather, with smart devices. Yorkey  Thanks

Alexa doesnt function with S2 app. I see the previous conversation was closed by sonos. easy to close a conversation if you dont have an answer. totally hopeless service. NO forethought as to what mugh happen with S2

My Amazon Echo 2 & Google Home voice services 99% works in SL with only a few subscription services not accessible. Main reason I wanted to have SONOS other than for improved bedside music quality for most essential voice control services but I was most terribly disappointed even after spending lots of $$$ buying from someone who bought it from Amazon USA

I can start playing music or a podcast with Google assistant but one it starts playing no more reaction (funnily yesterday everything worked just fine). I tried all steps suggested - unlinking on both sides (i.e. sonos and google assistant), but can't resolve the issues. Can you please help?  Thanks 

If I ask google home mini located in the kitchen to play a specific song in another room, ie living room, it says that the content isnt available and it cant perform that action. Cant remember the actual words used. But if I go into the sonos app and search the song, it is available and can be played. Is there any way around this?

I have a Sonos Move, everything was working fine until I changed my wifi network and I setup again Sonos Move and linked to Google Assistant again. After that when some music is playing, Google Assistant stops listening. When music is paused, it listens perfectly, even if i place the volume as low as possible (zero level - no music sounds) the microphone does not work. It was working perfectly before the change.

Hi. Has anybody worked out if you can use Alexa voice control on Sonos one to play music from iBroadcast? I can use voice control with Alexa App on my phone to control iBroadcast but it doesn’t seem to work on the Sonos One.

When I attempt to play this station through Alexa, I receive an error message.  I have to open the Sonos Desktop or Mobile App.  How can this be fixed?

I noticed (twice on my first day of Sonos customer - my first Move arrived yesterday) that eventually I can’t talk to Alexa, she wouldn’t reply.I have come up with the following workaround: click the Bluetooth button to activate Bluetooth click the Bluetooth button again to deactivate itSounds familiar to anyone?Wi-Fi coverage is good. Can use music with Spotify just fine on the Move. It’s just Alexa 

There should be a choice of voice assistant as now Alexa has been added as a main assistant my google product will not work with them????? Is there a by pass will Alexa be forced to work my google products when asked? Whole range of speakers have now just been made useless to others who cannot stand Alexa. I use both systems and find it annoying they wont work with each others products 

Hello, I've owned a pair of Sonos One for about 2-3 months now and they are amazing. Especially since Google Assistant launched for Sonos speaker in the Netherlands last month. The first few weeks were very good and I had little complaints. But since 1-2 weeks Google Assistant stop responding to even the most basic questions. Only when I stand next to the speaker that has the voice enabled and I talk really slow she sometimes understands what I mean. We have our Google Assistant in English, since my girlfriend is Swedish. Even tho there is bilingual support in Google Assistant there is no way to name rooms/devices in Dutch and Swedish. So we choose the middle ground and set everything in our house in English. I've already tried the following: Setting it too Dutch. It's now in dutch and it's far from perfect. But she does seem to respond a bit better now. But this is not a solution. HiAnyone successful in getting the Port’s 12V trigger to work with Alexa ?   It works fine with S2 app, but if I want to start music using Alexa the digital starts streaming but the amp does not turn on.  Any ideas/suggestions.  If not, how do I report a bug?

I have a new Bose Smart Speaker that can use either Alexa or Google Assist. I am getting two Sonos soundbars and several speakers installed this Saturday. Can my Smart Speaker connect with the Sonos equipment I am getting?

Hi,I cannot add Google Assistant to my Sonos. I have one beam and two one setup as surround system.So far I have tried resetting all sonos and try to add google when only one unit was enable, tried different sonos and google assistant account, tried adding google sonos from different IOs devices but every single time when sonos switches over to google assistant I get error message that they might a problem….  

Few months ago I was able to play Kindle books in my Sonos SL paired as stereo, not sure what happened that now its not possible, I tried resetting both speakers to factory settings and configuring them again but no luck. Does anyone has experienced this or know how could this be solved? 

I saw in the Alexa app there is a Sounds option in the app to turn on sounds before and after the commands. They are both off but yet she still bloops. Any way to make this work in with my One?

Is there a way to test if mic is working?Mic light is on; Sonos settings show Alexa connected; Alexa app shows Sonos skill active but Alexa doesn’t respond.

Hi,My sonos system comprises of two Symfonisks as a stereo pair, a play 3, play 1 and two play 5s.  The Symfonisks were in a kitchen group with the dot and were set as the default player for that room. When I asked alexa to play some music it would say “playing x on amazon music on sonos”  and then play the music on the stereo pair. I could also ask Alexa to play music on one of the other players.   I started getting issues where Alexa would say “playing x on amazon music on sonos” but nothing would happen. I`ve deleted all the sonos devices (and rooms I had set up) from the Alexa app and disabled the skill.  Then forced closed both the sonos app and the alexa app. The first peculiarity is when I enable the sonos app again and link it is that Alex discovers the players and adds them plus creates groups for each of the players. Has it always done that?  However, I cannot seem to get back to the point where I can create a kitchen group and have my stereo pair as the default speakers.   I

Hello, I've actived the Google Assistant on my Sonos one which is working great so far. However the audio que and the answers Google gives are way louders than the current volume (5%) should allow for. It's next to my bed and esp. at night this is quite annoying. Is there any way to control this? Also maybe it's an idea to introduce the feature that Google Home speakers have for some time now, the ability to set a max volume at night hours.

I use Alexa for voice commands to play music on my Sonos speaker. Until recently everything worked fine. Now, when I ask Alexa to play music on Sirius xm, she says I need to enable the service and link my account on the Alexa app. It is. I’ve contacted support for the Alexa app. I’ve disabled the service and re enabled it. I’ve deleted the Sonos app and the Sirius xm from the app and reinstalled both. I still get the same message. I’ve unplugged the speaker and plugged it back in. I never had issues when I used the sonos1 app.

Hi, is it possibile for the Sonos skill to activate Sonos Radios thru Alexa? I didn’t find anything about it.Thanks

Every couple months, I find Google Assistant is no longer working on my Sonos One pair. The fix is simple enough, but it’s definitely annoying.  To fix, I have to first remove Google Assistant from the Sonos app then re-add it.  This is a bug that should get fixed. 

Buongiorno,ho appena acquistato una Sonos Beam in modo da poter integrare l’assistente Google alla mia Sonos.Riesco perfettamente a fare l’installazione. L’assistente funziona con tutto tranne che col musica.Quando chiedo di farmi sentire della musica, ad esempio “OK GOOGLE FAMMI ASCOLTARE MUSICA DI VASCO ROSSI SU SOGGIORNO” mi risponde sempre che non ha capito.Ho già provato a scollegare tutto e ricollegare tutto, mi sono accertato di aver stesso login premium sia su google che su Sonos ma niente.Sapreste risolvermi il problema??Grazie mille
