Wanted to post this up somewhere for people that might be tearing their hair out like I was without realising the issue.TLDR: when going through Sonos app to enable Google Assistant for your Sonos devices (Sonos One, Beam or Move), make sure your pi-hole is DISABLED / your DNS setup is unfiltered and ok. Turns out my pi-hole was blocking something from resolving somewhere which meant Google Assistant could not find any of the Sonos devices (No Devices Found error in the final steps in Google Assistant app).  This was even despite the Google Home app showing the Sonos account as “linked” and showing the devices in the “Rooms” shown - it just wouldn’t complete the final steps of actually enabling the assistant on them...I probably shouldn’t be allowed to run my home network given such a simple thing, but sometimes the obvious/simple things are what you overlook, so maybe someone else will find this useful.______________________________Long Story:  I was recently trying to add a Google As

I have numerous Sonos products which are excellent and support Alexa,  I have just purchased a Eufy wireless doorbell which works with Alexa.  As I can only access Alexa through my SONOS equipment, how can I link it to ring on my SONOS / Alexa when the doorbell is pressed.

I’ve just spent two hours  re-setting my Sonos One so that it recognizes a new router. Alex is working Ok, because when I ask her the time, or the weather, she gives correct answers, and when I ask her to play a particular play list, she finds the play list and says that she’s playing it, but there’s no sound after that??

Ok.Bought my Move about 8 months ago. Sounds great. Set it up and it worked perfectly with both Google Assistant and my YouTube Music Premium (so I could say, Ok Google, Play X and it work).  Everything was amazing. Then about a month ago, my Sonos was unresponsive (couldn’t connect to my network no matter what I did). So did a full reset so I could set it up as ‘new’ again. Since then, while the Move is back online and some of the services work, like:YouTube Music Premium - works from the appRelisten - works from the appSonos Radio - works from the appThere are now issues I can’t resolve. My SiriusXM Canada - does not work from the app anymore. Gives me an error in the app when I try to access a ‘channel’. Says, “Unable to play X - the connection to SiriusXM Canada was lost’ or when I try to view my favourites, it says, “Sorry, something went wrong, Please try again.”  Ha - funny. Hi,  Thank you for these beautiful sound system. I have a boring problem. As said in the title, I must launch two times the music to have it started. After it's OK. But when I come back after few hours, I still need again to push play two times.  -This does not appear with jack connection-This appear with Android Sonos S2 app-This happen when I say "OK Google start music..." Thanks for your help. 

How come Alexa can't play from the Apple Podcast skill on my Sonos smart speaker?

Hi all, had a new Virgin media hub3 installed yesterday and now can’t play radio stations through the Beam via Alexa. Worked perfectly a week ago, just a new hub fitted! Help please!

If I add 2 x Sonos One SL to my Beam as rear speakers will Alexa play music through all 3 speakers or just the Beam?Thanks for any insight.

Hi Needs some advice here...!I have 2 Sonos One’s separated, one called kitchen for obvious reasons the other dinning room. Both play trough the Sonos app, BBC Sound s App and intune app. However if I’m in the kitchen and I ask Alexa to play a song. She says playing song by UB40 on Spotify. However it plays on the Dinning room not the kitchen Therefore I did a Factory reset on each speaker naming each one Kitchen and Dinning Room. The problem I have now, is that neither speaker will no longer play Spotify through alexa. My Sonos app say it playing but there is no sound. My router is on Sky UK if this makes a difference any help greatly appreciated 

For the last six months we’ve had a weird, intermittent issue with Alexa and timers on a Sonos One and a Beam. We get two problems, intermittently (for about 50% of all timers): In response to “Alexa, start a N minute timer”, unit fails to respond, but starts the timer anyway; or Unit responds affirmatively, but upon subsequent inquiry says “No timer is set” and/or it fails to go off. They otherwise work perfectly in all respects; all kinds of playback, whether internet streams or local music library, and for all other voice commands & skills. In addition, the same timer commands do work consistently on a “real” Amazon Echo & Echo Dot on the same network. Fixes attempted: Factory reset, including deconfiguring, removing unit from both Amazon & Sonos accounts and re-adding after reset Connecting via alternate networks (including all of: Wifi, Sonosnet, and fixed-wire network). Even tried a different ISP, temporarily. Circumstances: Alexa on Sonos devices otherwise works flaw

I am trying to set up a Group called “everywhere” to play on my 3 Alexa devices, Alexa, Dot and sonos.  Group works great for Alexa and Dot.  When I try to Add Sonos Alexa app says it is not compatible.  All are on the same network and the Alexa app sees all 3 speakers.  Starting to get a little disappointed in the Beam.  This should not be this hard.  Any ideas? I have made sure that everything is on a single account in Alexa.  That was an issue in the past with lights, I was logged into my account on my phone and Alexa was set to my wife’s  I have since logged into my wife’s alexa app account for the time being in hopes of fixing this. 

is Alexa unable to speak calendar notifications?

I don’t think what I want to do is unreasonable in 2021.I want one easy screen to turn on and off rooms and show/change what music is playing and control volume.  Preferably in Homekit.I don’t want to have to open the sonos app just to turn on and off music, in a smart home trying to open and close multiple apps is just annoying and clumsy.In Apple HomeKit right now I can see my rooms except for one which has a Playbar.  However if I start a group in sonos then if I click any one room in HomeKit it turns ALL the rooms off/on together.I have Alexa, hubitat, and homekit/apple in my home.  There HAS to be a way but I don’t see why it should be so hard to do. 

I have 3 Pandora accounts let’s say A,B,C added to my Sonos S2 App (Sonos One, Playbar, 2xFives). The Sonos One is configured with Google Assistant. The Google Assistant is logged into Pandora account B. My desired outcome is: Hey Google, play “Toddler Radio” and Toddler radio begins on Sonos speakers using the Pandora account I configured in the Google Assistant app : Pandora Account B...alwaysThe result: roughly around ¾ of the time, the configured GA Pandora account B is the one who plays the station. Randomly, Sonos, or Google Assistant will decide to play the music using my account A, which I NEVER want to play Toddler radio. As a result, my adult pandora profile is getting littered with Baby Shark radio and the like.I’ve gone so far as to completely nuke my whole Google Home setup, delete Account B from Google family manager. I’ve attempted to destroy ANY connection on Google’s end between Accounts A and B on the Google side.The only seemingly reliable “solution” is to delete acc

Is it really that bad?  Because at this point, it feels that bad. I have a stereo pair of sonos ones (the main speaker being the second gen, the other 1st) and a sonos move. I have no other google speakers in the house and to lessen any confusion from my Google assistants part, I even disengaged it on my phone. I have problems nearly 100% of the time with google.  Simple commands such as, "pause," "play some music", or "skip this song" or mainly everything music related I get a constant, "Sorry, something went wrong, when you're ready, give it another try."   Or, my favorite one is, "Sorry, I can't do that here, but you can ask me to play it on one of your other devices." This happens all the time.  If it does work, it's usually on the second or third try, and by then I'm so frustrated I wish I never invested in these speakers.  Spotify is my main squeeze, but anything streaming related seems to be a nightmare.  I've tried rebooting google assistant but nothing works and now I feel lik

I have lost Alexa on my Play One.  I have factory reset the speaker and reconnected it.  I’ve also done everything under in the Sonos support topic about deregistrating and reregistrating an Alexa device.  When completing the setup, I can hear Alexa confirm setup with, “Hello!”.  However, the mic led will not turn on.  There is a tone each time I turn the mic on and off but it will not respond to any commands.  Everything looks fine, just no mic LED or response.Your diagnostic confirmation number is: 1384143241.   What’s the next step, Sonos? Thanks- John

I just set up a Sonos One with Alexa and the sound is noticeably better than the Amazon Echo. On the Sonos One though, each and every time I call "Alexa" it plays some kind of acknowledgement tone. When I call my Echo or Dot, thankfully there is no such tone. Is there anyway to disable it?

Does anyone know if a paired Sonos One speaker system now has both microphones working for Alexa? By default it was only the left speaker that was listening before (shown by the microphone light being on) but now the light is on on both speakers. I am wondering if there has been an update?

I have an activity that turns on Sonos Playbase and a Sonos One.The volume controls both, but mute only works on Playbase, which is connected via optical to the TV. Any thoughts on muting?  Goal: Mute both or multiple devices from the Harmony Mute button.

Asking for a feature request to have Sonos volume control by Alexa be able to say a volume number and set it to that instead of the 0-10.  The right spot for listening is too loud at say 20 and too low at 10.  Just be nice to say Alexa set to volume to 18 or 25. 

I’ve just got a Sonos Amp (my first device), and I’m trying to add it to Google Home. I’ve tried by adding it through the Google Home app, and by adding the Google Assistant through the Sonos. Both end up with the same problem - they open the Sonos website to login and when I do it says “Not available in your country.” Even though I am in the UK and:I have set my Sonos profile to United Kingdom My Google account is set to United Kingdom I do not have any other Google accounts on my phone I am logged into the same Premium YouTube Music account on Sonos and Google My IP address comes up as United Kingdom when checking online I’ve restarted my router, phone, uninstall Assistant etc.I’ve been through all the threads and tips I can find, and I can’t find any more advice on how to fix it. Please can someone help? It really just seems like the Sonos website mistakenly thinks I’m in a country that I’m not.

My Sonos One is connected and works fine (I can play TuneIn stations, Alexa answers all questions I ask, etc.) but when I ask to play something from Spotify it says “The device is offline”.I tried to deregister and re-register, delete ans re-install the Alexa app and the Sonos app on my phone, but nothing changed.Another voice command that doesn’t work is when I’m playing music (doesn’t matter if it’s from TuneIn or Spotify) is the “Stop” command. My Sonos chimes but the music doesn’t stop.
