Voice control and smart home

What is the command to get Google assistant to play music from Sonos Music library.I know I can play via the app, but is it not possible to use voice commands?

I have a Beam, a One and a One SL grouped together in my lounge. The charging base for my Move is also on my lounge but it gently lives in my bathroom. Whenever I use Google assistant to control my hue lights, it will respond on my Move if it's on charge in the lounge, but if it's in the bathroom the response comes from my phone, even if the phone is in another room which is annoying. Although Assistant is enabled on the Beam and the appropriate One; it just doesn't seem to work. If the phone or the Move isn't in range, I get nothing, no response. I assumed it was because it didn't work in groups but theres no logic to that. 

I'm trying to help out a neighbor who purchased some Pyle bluetooth in ceiling speakers.  He wants the ability to listen to his TV and play music (via phone app) on them.  Additionally, he will add more speakers up stairs and wants to pipe the music to those as well.  Does Sonos have such a device?   Can multiple Sonos devices be linked together to provide music all over the house?

I have added Sonos Beam to my TV in the Kitchen this week and set up Alexas and I can ask Alexa questions etc etc , but when I ask for music example ‘Play BBC Radio 2’ it responds saying ‘Playing BBC Radio 2 from BBC sounds’ but nothing plays , Same request ‘Play Virgin Radio’ responds ‘Saying playing Virgin Radio from TuneIn Radio’ but nothing comes out of the speaker. -Also Amazon Music does not work, when asking ‘Play 90’s music’ response i get is ‘first enable the skill for the Sonos beam in the Alexa App and then discover devices’  this I think is the problem and what devices is it trying to discover ?   I also have the same Beam in my TV room for the last year and this works perfectly with all of the above commands  as does several Alexa Echos .  

This. Application is slow it’s terrible for Alexa commands and refuses to answer and listen just like my older children sometimes it works after you yelled at three times it’s horrible I hope you’re doing something to fix it 

I have a bunch of Sonos speakers (obviously) and just bought an Echo Show.While I can control the Sonos system in all rooms, there seems to be no way to show what’s playing on the Echo Show.What I’d expect is, that:if the Echo Show is in the same room as my speakers - it shows what’s playing on these there is a setting, where I can show what’s playing on <any> room on the Echo Show (like it does on the iOS or Android app).But I can’t seem to find any setting for this… Can this be true? (I somewhat feel like back in the 90s)Any hint?

PART 1: I have a Show 5 and Sonos One in my kitchen. I want the Show to be my Alexa device, but would like the One to be my speaker for music in the Kitchen. When playing music, I don't want to have to specify “kitchen” in my commands. I created a group called Kitchen, and added the Show and Sonos One to that group. The Sonos One is set as the speaker for this group the playback option is set to “Always.” Question… Did I set this up right? Should I turn the mic off on the Sonos One? If yes, is there a way to disable the mic so someone (i.e. one of my kids) doesn't press the button and turn on the One’s mic by mistake? PART 2: I have a Sonos Beam in the living room, which is next to the kitchen. I have a Sonos Beam in my living room in a group with two Gen 1 Sonos One speakers and a Sonos Sub. I have had Alexa enabled since I initially setup this system. All had been working well but suddenly, Alexa will not stop or pause playing by voice command. I can say "Alexa, play NPR" and it will respond properly. I can say "Alex Louder" and "Alex Lower" and the volume will adjust. But when I say "Alexa Stop" (which is what I've been saying since day one) or "Alexa Pause" it will simply make the command chime and keep playing. Also, the Beam is working properly but in the Sonos app, I don't specifically see the Beam listed as a speaker. I think it might simply be labeled "Living Room?" I'm not sure if I should see the Beam specifically? I tried to remove Alexa and reactivate it but I got completely confused and I'm not sure what I accomplished. I purchased a new Sonos One 2nd gen last month, and I immediately noticed that the microphone was nowhere as sensitive as the gen 1 version. For Alexa to respond, I have to be quite near the Sonos One, and I've had to raise the volume of my voice to be heard. I relocated from Europe earlier this year and was waiting for all my Sonos gear to arrive with my furnitures. Those have now arrived and I set it all up over the past few days. So I have Sonos One devices in all bedrooms, all but one are 1st gen, the 2nd gen being in my bedroom. When I say "Alexa, turn on the light", it's typically Alexa in another room that will respond. "Alexa set a timer for 5 minutes" and you can hear it being setup in another bedroom. Now I don't know if it's an issue with this particular gen2 that is faulty, or that somehow the gen2 has a less sensitive microphone. But it's pretty much unusable as an Alexa device. I have over 20 Sonos speakers in my home. They are all compatible with the new Sonos S2 app. When I try to create an automations in HomeKit such as arriving home, It always causes the scene to fail. When I remove the audio from the scene, it works fine.I want to have my music to play to my speakers. I have selected the speakers to play and have selected the music in Apple Music and have checked it and adjusted the volume to where I want it to play. The artwork is shown when I get back to the Scene I am creating.  Can you give me suggestions on how to have this work if there is a way to make it work. If not, then please ask your technical team to consider adding this to a future update. Thank you very much. 

Just set up a Sonos one with Alexa and whenever she talks there’s a lot of static in the voice. I’m not noticing it when playing music as much if at all. 

I see people have been logging this complaint regularly for months i have been using my Playbar and two Sonos Ones for over 3 years and love them 3 days ago Alexa switched to a whisper and just won’t change. Nothing was changed here worrying

Se avessi avuto un altro dispositivo tipo echo dot sarei riuscito? Hello I try to join two speakers “sonos one” and one “echo input” in a single playback group I hope that this it’s possible with one alexa group but not work.Is there another way? If I had another device like “echo dot” would I be successful? 

Hi, I am trying to connect Sonos play 5 with my Google nest mini, Nut while adding voice assitance with google assistant>add to sonos, in Sonos app i can find Sonos Beam in the Sonos app but i can not find my sonos Play 5 which i want to connect to Google mini. What could be the reason , Please help Thanks

How to I tell Harmony Hub to change Port to the Input (Audio In). I would like to define an activity „Listening to CD“, which starts Amp, Sonos Port and CD Player (connected to Port) and switch Port´s source to the CD Player? 

Greetings,I have the pre airplay system till the update came out.I can run the Sonos wirelessly through my eero system fine.When I try to play through airplay, it not found.I’ve tried adding to Apple Homekit, and you guessed it, not found, but add through the manufactures app. Is that the key? What is the sequence to accomplish that?

I'd like to know why my Sonos devices only play the requested song when I request a specific song with a voice command and via You Tube Music, but when I make the exact same request on my Google Nest or Polk Assist speaker they play the requested song and then continue with other various songs that Google thinks I might like.  I would expect the same Google behavior across various Google devices.  

If I ask Sonos Move “Alexa what is the weather” it works fine along with whatever other questions I have.But if I ask it to play my Favorites…  It will say “Playing your favorites”  then silence.   It seems to locate my favorites because it says it…. but plays nothing.  It was working before, but started acting up so i had to reset it and reconfigure it all over agian. No I can’t get it to play my favorites.  Note: this is the playlist I have for Alexa.. when asking an Alexa device it works fine.  Any Ideas?

I say something like "ok Google, play Radio 4" and it responds saying "Playing Radio 4 on TuneIn" or I say "ok Google, play Bruce Springsteen" and it responds saying "alright, playing the Spotify playlist called This is Bruce Springsteen" but then does not start playing in either case. I check the system by saying something like "ok Google what time is it?" And it always responds to that correctly. Very occasionally it works and starts playing the music but more often than not it doesn't. I have tried:Disconnecting and reconnecting my Spotify accountDisconnecting and resetting up Google Assistant on the SonosSetting my default device to play from in Google Home as the Sonos OneChecking my default music service in Google Home is Spotify

Hi. We have 2 Sonos One with Alexa, one "kitchen", one "living room" Living room is the older unit. When I ask living room to play BBC radio 2, she goes through the routine, but the station doesnt play, but when i do the same on Kitchen, the station does play. Both speakers are on wifi, less than 20 feet from the wifi hub and our current wifi speed is 40mbps. Can any one help please?

Is it possible to listen to music on your sonos speakers AND use your amazon echos as additional speakers at the same time?   I have 5 sonos speakers and 1 echo and am able to ask alexa to play music but it will play on either the 5 sonos speakers or the echo….i can’t seem to get it to play on ALL the speakers….it is an endless either or no matter what I do.  Any guidance would be so appreciated.  

Hi,I cannot change the alexa acount in sonos one speaker. The alexa system at home recognise the speaker an can manage it, but when I ask to the sonos speaker itself it doesnt recognise the house services as the speaker itself keep on working with a different account.I have tried to remove and reinstall everithing, alexa apps, related music apps, skills,...and I have removed the the sonos amazon device registry also, but everytime I  try to change the sonos alexa voice service (through the sonos app) to the account I use at home it automaticaly comes back to the former alexa acount.thanks a lot for any help that will be very welcome.

I have Radiopup setup on Sonos but can’t access it using Alexa voice commands.  I have no problem playing Radiopup stations on Sonos using the app.  Any help will be appreciated
