Hi , I recently bought a sonos bar, and I’m trying to play songs from YouTube music on my sonos. I have a youtube red account, and autoplay works perfectly fine on my chromecast. By autoplay, I mean when I ask google to play a song, it plays the next song automatically based on its learning & related songs.

I’m trying to make this work on sonos, but unfortunately playback stops after the somg gets finished. Has anyone found a solution to this?

Hi @Rishabhc, Thanks for reaching out, and welcome to the community. Sorry to know about your issue on Autoplay with youtube and Sonos, I want to ask if do you have the Youtube premium subscription? Does it happen on other device controllers that you have? Also, do you have the subscription added to the Sonos App? I’ll ask you to submit a diagnostic report to investigate further what could be causing this issue. You may reply to the thread with the confirmation number to assist you with this issue.

I do have a youtube subscription(youtube red) account. Songs do auto play on my google chromecast.

I have my same youtube red account added to sonos.

I’ve submitted my diagnostic report, my confirmation number is 258936505.


Hi @Rishabhc, thanks for the update and for sending a diagnostic report of your Sonos system, upon checking, I can’t see any issues on your system, I want to ask if the Autoplay feature worked on the Sonos App before or not? As far as I know, Sonos has TV Autoplay but not on Youtube. it could be a feature that could be integrated into the Sonos app in the future. We’ll check on this with my specialist.

Thanks for your reply. No, the autoplay hasn’t worked before on sonos(I’m a first time Sonos customer!).

Sure, happy to understand the feature doesn’t exist on Sonos yet & not sure if its something which youtube needs to add the feature or Sonos :)

I have the same issue. 
 

• I have the YouTube Premium (formerly known as YouTube Red) subscription.

• I have been using it on my Google Home device since 2017 and Autoplay on YouTube Music has been working like a charm. 
• I just replaced my Google Home smart speaker with Sonos One for better sound. 
• Autoplay on YouTube music doesn’t work. I have linked all subscriptions and Google accounts. 
 

I just purchased 2 Sonos one, 1 Sonos SL, and 1 Sonos Five. YouTube music Autoplay gives me serendipity without having to search for the next song. It is important and table stakes feature!

Your hardware is great, and I rather stick to it instead of returning and switching to Google hardware.  Is there an ETA if when this will be fixed?
