Voice control and smart home

Suddenly the assistent stop working. I have tried to delete it and reinstall it. It says:  An issue occurred with starting Sonos Voice Control. Please make sure your mobile device is connected to Wi-Fi. Tried several times. The mobile device is on the same network. And there is no issues with the connection. Any solution would be appreciated. 

Hi All, Just got my first Sonos device (Era 300) and I'm pulling my hair out trying to add Alexa as a voice assistant. Every time I select 'connect to amazon', it just spins and spins and never loads the next page! Help please?! Thanks

Just watching TV in the living room and my Sonos One decides to scream at me in full volume. Chicken man saying something like, 'To get the Sonos app.............' What's going on now 🤷‍♂️

Hello,When I ask Alexa for the current weather via my Sonos speaker, I always get the message that she is not aware of where I live, but I can save it as an address.A unique address is stored in the Amazon account that I use for the smart speaker. Do I need the Alexa app here or is the error somewhere else?

Cannot set up GA on my Sonos One.  No devices found.  I have done all the usual recommendations but still no luck.  It has worked previously before, but not anymore.  Hope someone can point me in the right direction. Tks, Lorcan

I’m trying to play the FIP radio station, which was previously included in TuneIn, but now all Radio France stations live within their own app/service, which is great news as it removes all the trashy ads, but I can’t figure out the voice commands I can use with my Google Home to initiate playback of FIP. It keeps trying to use TuneIn and fails. Any advice would be appreciated!

Hi everyone !As stated in the post title, there’s no weather location option in sonos voice control settings so when I ask about weather to SVC it says I have to setup the location…To provide any possibly relevant details :- I confirm the app as well as all speakers firmwares are running last version.- In case it matters I am French and so everything is settled in French language.- I tried with both iPhone and iPad apps (I haven’t any android device to check)- I already tried to uninstall and install again SVC as it was already installed prior the new version but without success…Thanks for reading and if you have any ideas I’m all ears 🙏😊   

Every time i ask google assistant on sonos one (Gen 2) to play music it says apple music is not supported. How can i fix this?  I am logged into apple music (with an active subscription) on both google and sonsos. 

Since last update I've started to have problems with the alexa part (never worked much, but ok) I've decided then to remove the assistant from my beam, un-installed the app from the phone. Then I've started all the configuration from scratch. All is OK but I cannot install alexa (ok with the Sonos assistant and with Google)  Is there some way to fix it and install back alexa? 🤔 

Hi folks,I’m experiencing issues related to the volume of Alexa since the Sonos update to 12.1. I’m using a surround setup with one Sonos Beam and two Sonos Play:1 in my living room. Since a few years, the Alexa response volume was just static and not related to the music volume set by Sonos. This was a good thing because you could listen to music in very low volume while you could talk to Alexa and get a normal, relatively loud response.Since 12.1, the Alexa volume seems to be related to the overall speaker volume. Now when the volume is set maybe between 1-20%, it is just impossible for me to communicate with Alexa because her responses are extremely quiet. I can only start to understand her again when the volume slider is maybe at 25-30% or higher, but then of course the music is also proportional louder, which is not good.Is there any way to set the Alexa volume independent of the music volume?Thank you very much in advance.

Alexa was working fine, for some reason we factory reset the Sonos one (dont ask me why) and now I cant get alexa to work. I dont have either alexa app or amazon app on my phone, and when I click “sign in” it just immediately says there was an issue and I can try again or cancel. Extremely frustrating 

The Ring Doorbell announces on the Roam & Roam 2 and Alexa enabled TV but I cannot get the announcement on the Sonos One. I have reset the SONOS One and ensured that it’s connected to the associated Alexa account. Has anyone experienced the same or similar issue and resolved it. If so how did you?

I’m trying to let each of my children play Spotify content on their own Sonos speaker via voice control, without taking over or interrupting each other’s sessions. It’s not working and it’s driving everyone crazy. Here’s the current setup. Anyone see what I’m doing wrong? Spotify Premium Family with individual accounts for each family member (5) Sonos Roam for each child’s room (3) Each child has their own iPad with the Sonos app installed. Each instance of the app is signed in to my Sonos account that has all speakers added to the system. Sonos Voice Control has been added for each child’s speaker The child’s Spotify account has been selected within their instance of Sonos app Each child’s iPad has the Spotify app, signed in to their account (full Spotify - not Spotify Kids) Concurrent playback DOES work when each child starts a session from the Spotify app and selects their speaker. Is anyone else ready to toss their Sonos in the trash after the app updates and google assistant not working? I tell google to play music on Spotify, it will play but when I tell it to pause or adjust the volume, it will say “Nothing is currently playing.” When I start the music, it won’t resume the volume level from when it was previously used. I know it’s a “luxury” to have these items, but the only reason I bought them was because they were compatible with google assistant. I have tried everything to get it to work. Google voice assistant is linked to both speakers, everything is “good” in terms of it being connected, it just doesn’t work. If anyone has tips, greatly appreciated. 

I have 3 era 300 grouped, all is fine until one degroup itself after some days, I dont know why. Is there any way with any app or alexa or any other system that I can group all them together again automaticaly?

Hice de todo, durante varios meses: quité los SKILLS de spotify, de alexa, etc., deshabilité los parlantes del sistema y volví a habilitarlos, cambié la red WIFI (usé 2,4 y 5, solo una de las dos), eliminé las APP de estos sistemes en mis devices y volví a instalarlas. En algún momento me decía que había restricción geográfica. En fin, la solución que hoy (25/08/2024) me funcionó a mi: deshabilité la Skill de SONOS en ALEXA… al querer habilitarla de nuevo, me dijo que no podía por restricción geográfica (¿en Colombia?)… así que me fui a SONOS y allí, en cada parlante, volví a habilitar ALEXA…. ¡¡¡¡SE SOLUCIONÓ!!!!!… un año frustrantes con mis parlantes de SONOS sin ALEXA y hoy lo logré… Ojalá les sirva. My Sonos is listening and responding to my requests but not actioning them. I say “Alexa play Spotify” it then responds “playing Spotify” but then doesn’t play Spotify. It does this with all requests and I can now only control it via my mobile.  This has happened since I rebooted it to reconnect it to my new iPhone. I have tried rebooting the Sonos, restarting the internet, removing and re adding voice control. Nothing… Can’t get through to the helpline as it’s a 40 minute wait. Someone please help. 

When my Sonos Beam volume is set a comfortable level for watching tv and I ask Alexa a question, the volume of her response is too low. I am unable to hear the answer.  If I raise the volume of the Fire Cube it doesn’t change the volume on the Beam. If I raise the volume of the Beam I can hear her response, BUT the volume is WAY too loud to watch tv..

I was looking for instructions as to how to use my Sonos speaks as my Nest Doorbell chime but didn’t find anything that explained how to do it.  After various searches, I found bits and pieces of how to get my Nest Doorbell to announce over my Sonos system.  The important point is that it can be done and it does work. There are a number of steps and I’m not sure which are required, but here’s what I did: From Google Home app, add Sonos to Services. Go to Settings screen. Select “works with Google” under services.  From Google Home App, go to Settings and select the Nest Doorbell.  Click on Doorbell and in the Features section, make sure that Visitor Announcements is active.  From Sonos app, go to Settings screen and click “Manage”.  Find “Voice Assistants” and add Google Assistant. Once added, click on Google Assistant and click “add to another product”. Dear Sonos,I bought a few of your products in Brazil and I can use my Sonos as an Alexa but when I ask it to play a song it says to enable the Sonos Skill on the Alexa App. But there is no Sonos skill on the Brazillian Alexa Skill "store".  So, you have an official webpage in Brazil, you have official authorized retailers, alexa works on portuguese (PT-BR) and Sonos can add Alexa voice control in Brazil. However alexa can not controle my Sonos equipment and make it play a song I asked because the Sonos' Alexa Skill is not available on Brazil.You are a premium brand with excellent products. Please STOP shipping half baked services with your product. This disappoints the costumers so much. I read in other post in this community that the skill has become geo locked and the response the person got was "call Amazon". Alexa has been unable to see any Sonos devices starting last Sunday.  My Android app is version 08.06.04.  Also, the Sonos app lost its ability to see my Connect until I did a factory reset on the connect.
