Voice control and smart home

Hi folks,I would like to say if with Sonos Voice Control I can directly ask to play music on a created group.I’m trying but it is not working.Something like: “Hey Sonos, play Manilla Road on Casa (name of group, I’m Italian :-) )Casa is the only group I have.Thank you in advance

Has anyone found a fix to sign in to Amazon to add Alexa? I know this was asked 6 months ago but wondered if there has been any update? As everyone else was saying, get all the way to sign into Amazon then it fails.....

How can be it that you still can’t add Alexa if you happen to use the Amazon shopping app (literally one of the most installed apps in the world)? I understand Sonos software is awful, and I try to set expectations very low, but it’s been over 6 months. Have they just completely given up on even trying to make anything work?

Will there be alexa support in india for sonos speakers ? In future ?

I'm trying to disable Sonos Voice Control on my Era 100 using the iOS app. When I click “Remove Sonos Voice Control” I get this error:Something went wrongPlease try again I have repeatedly please tried again to no avail 🙃Tried rebooting the Era 100 but still got the same error A different Era 100 in my system was able to successfully remove voice control Tried force quiting the iOS app but no luckMy system is running the most recent version 16.4.2 (Build 81.1-58074) and iOS app is the most recent version 80.09.09

Been trying for days now done all what people say to do reboot the beam reboot the router uninstall Sonos app and reinstall it same as Alexa app and I still can't get Alexa to work on my Sonos beam 

Hi.Just got an Era 300. Sounds great. Enabled Sonos Voice and Alexa from the iOS app.  Have enabled Apple Music as I have a subscription. Alexa confirms it is linked to my Amazon account. There’s only 1 in this household. It respons with correct info re time, date etc. However, I can’t play anything on the Era 300 with Alexa.It gives a message asking me to enable the Sonos skill in the Alexa app and then run device discovery.Have tried both. Including disabling then renabling. I have a Sonos Roam and this works fine on there. Including playing from other sources, Global Player, BBC etc. Anything else I can try? Did search forums but not seen a clear resolution. TY.

When Move has been updated it can not understand command’s from Google anymore. When I use One I just say (in Swedish) Hey google, play P4 - which is the radio station I normally listen to. Move will not understand. Keeps asking for which unit. There is only one system I have. Speakers are on different floors, so they can not over hear commands. Any idea why this lack of understanding has been introduced? Why not the same commands work the same on all products? 

I have my own app working and can access some upnp services.  Can play, pause, adjust volume so far.  But the zonegrouptopology return method not allowed.  Tried both post and get.  Also having same issue with browse.  Any help would be appreciated. 

I use Google assistant to launch spotify contents on Sonos One.Assistant voice correctly repetes what I asked to play on Sonos, but nothing happens.The problem has appeared randomly. I try to reset everything but still not working 

My Sonos app keeps crashing repeatedly every time I try to go to the voice control option, any tips or reason why? Also my Sonos Beam stops playing music from time to time, and I don't have WiFi issues.

Hi. I have a project that involve some mods. I want to use a old radio cabinet, take out all of the components and install a sonos One speaker. But I want the lights in the cabinet to be activated when I choose the speaker. Is there anyone that know if thats possible? 

I have been having issues controlling my Sonos system via Google assistant. I decided to unlink and readd Sonos to Google home.When doing so, I am presented with two identical systems, with no way to disringuish one from the other.I only have 4 speakers all under one system, so don't understand why two show. Oddly, if I select one it only adds two devices. If I unlink and try with the other, it only adds the other two devices. Anyone have ideas on what the hell is happening here? ThanksEds

I would like to use Sonos‘s voice control to equalize volume level across multiple speakers or speaker groups,  

I would like to change the default alarm or timer notifications if possible. Is that configurable in Sonos and if so how do I do that? Thx

I've just bought a beam gen 2 and set up the google assistant but when I ask it to play music it tells me "sorry it looks like you have not set up your account on this media service provider yet"Spotify works if I connect through the Spotify app.  Can anyone help?

I am really disappointed the new Sonos speakers no longer include Google Assistant integration. It seems the legal battle about patents got so bad new products no longer include Google Assistant. I had a Roam die and they sent me the new version that does not include Google Assistant. I need home controls in addition to music control. So Sonos voice is really sub par. I hope Google Assistant integration comes back.

Hello. It seems like many on here, for some years I’ve been been happily playing Amazon Music on my 2 Sonos Ones and Era100. I could ask it to play a playlist, and it would continuously play till I asked it to stop. About 2-3 weeks ago it started playing a playlist but then stopped after the first track. Soon after that it stopped playing any music requested by Alexa. I can still request Alexa to do other things e.g. weather forecast, set thermostat, lights etc but as for music, nada.I’ve tried some of the useful advice I’ve found on here, e.g. re-authorizing Sonos to play Music etc, but am a bit nervous about wiping out the few features I still have if I de-install everything. At the moment it feels a bit like I have one expensive Bluetooth speaker and 2 paper weights! Any advice (preferably at idiot level!) would be much appreciated.Regards Steve

Hi CommunityI am using Beam which is connected vie ARC to my Sony Bravia VH21 (Google TV OS) and Google Home for my smart-home (both Sonos and the TV connected to Google Home).In the Google Home app, I can see two devices for Beam:Sonos Beam - works well.  Sonos Beam TV Control - it constantly appears as offline. In the past, it used to be in online status, which I could use to switch-on the TV (via ARC). I have been trying to fix this and search for articles about the problem but can’t find anything. Can anyone share advise on how use Beam and ARC connection in order to switch on the TV?Many thanks

Seit ich meine neue FRITZ!Box in Betrieb genommen habe, spielt Alexa über Sonos kein Radio mehr ab. Andere Sprachbefehle z.B. Smart Home dagegen funktionieren aber problemlos.Bin mit meinem Latein und Nerven am Ende. Bitte um Hilfe. Kann es eventuell mit dem Update der Sonos One zu tun haben? Beste Grüße Jens 

I have 3 Sonos One and a Beam. All been fine until last few days.  Now asking either Alexa or Sonos voice to play my music or BBC radio one - says ‘now playing..etc’ but then nothing plays. Have disconnected, reconnected, rebooted etc and the only thing that works is controlling via the app.  very frustrating- any ideas?

I when playing the volume at a low level, Alexa follows the volume level. In my opinion, Alexa needs to be set at a consistent level to be able to utilize her responses. Please provide an update to the app where the volume of the assistant can remain at a consistent level.

Sonos One microphone stopped working.Alexa still announces reminders, yet it does not respond to voice commands. The microphone has been turned off and on; the device has been unplugged and restarted; I even went as far as restoring the device to factory settings (which I have learned may not have been the best idea). I also deleted the Alexa service and then added the service back with the speaker announcing that the service has been “successfully added and the device is ready to use.” Microphone is still dead. 

Hi,I receive an incomplete list of Favorites with the Sonos API “getFavorites”-command.Concretely, playlists from Amazon Music which I added to Favorites in the app are missing while playlists from Spotify added in the same way are returned by the API.In the Sonos app both are listed next to each other. By using the http-API I get both types of playlists, but Amazon Music playlists are of type “shortcut” and Spotify playlists of type “instantPlay”. Hi,I am using the local API via a module in the home automation system Symcon (in my understanding not relevant for the question) and experience an unexpected behaviour for Amazon Music playlist Sonos favorites.Adding the Sonos favorites for Amazon Music and e.g. Spotify playlists in the Sonos app in the same way leads to different results when browsing the ContentDirectoryService for Sonos favorites(FV:2).For Spotify playlist the “res” element is delivered so that the playlist can be played via the API.For Amazon Music playlists the “res” element is returned empty, therefore no possibility to initiate the playback.Additional difference is that the Amazon Music playlists are listed with r:type “shortcut”, while the Spotify playlists are listed as r:type “instantPlay”.Via the Sonos App both type of playlists look and behave in the same way.Does someone have an idea what could be the reason for the different behaviour and what I can do
