It appears that Amazon Music is now supported with Google Assistant and Google Nest devices.

Has anyone got them to work together on their Sonos speakers?

It’s almost like I’ve got them halfway working together with my Sonos Beam. Google Assistant recognizes some commands but not all. What’s also weird is that if I check my Google activity, it doesn’t show the commands I’m requesting.

However, if I use my Google Assistant app on my iPad and ask it to play an album or song on my living room speaker, it works perfectly and show the command in my Google activity.

This is what I mean by it’s working “halfway”.

Perhaps Sonos themselves aren’t aware Amazon Music hasn’t been added to Google Assistant which is why it might not be work correctly.

Notice something strange.

If I request to play an album, “Hey Google, play the album The Hurting” (and even if I add “on Amazon Music”, it plays only one song from the album and not the first one. Almost like it’s only recognizing my account as a basic Amazon Prime account.

However, if I say, “Hey Google, play the album The Hurting on Amazon Music Unlimited”, it plays the entire album correctly, starting with the first song. So it’s recognizing my fully upgraded Amazon Music Unlimited account but only when I ask it to play it “on Amazon Music Unlimited”.

So it’s almost like something is messed up in linking your Amazon Music account to Google Assistant or Sonos.

Oh, also for some reason I can’t change the volume via Google Assistant either. Very weird.
