Whenever I try to link google to Sonos I get that SONOS IS UNREACHABLE error.

This has been ongoing for the past 4 days since I got my new device. At this point I am better off returning it and sticking to another brand of speakers.

Same here and it’s very annoying!

I am having the same issues with both adding Google assistant to my Arc as well as adding the Sonos skill in the Google Home app. In Google home app, it says Sonos skill linked followed by the following error. See picture.

Same. x4 days, even tried unlinking all services from sonos, uninstalling sonos, Spotify and Google Home and Assistant apps. Countless phone, (Android and iOS,) and device reboots=No Joy.

The  status page is showing an issue with Google - so perhaps it’s related.

All this trying takes up too much of my time. Thinking of selling off my Sonos and replacing it with a more reliable alternative. This app change blew up the goodwill of Sonos. Fix it soon or I will put my money where my mouth is.

Anyone got this working?

The Sonos Status page now shows that Google voice assistant is operational but I’m still getting the same error when trying to enable Google voice assistant on my Arc. Also still getting a similar error when trying to enable the Sonos skill on the Google Home App.

Same problem here in the Netherlands. Hopefully this get fixed soon.

This page shows everything green now. Yet I'm still having the same error with Google home linking to Sonos.

Well I should have checked here first, I just wasted two hours trying to get this to work, only for it to fail repeatedly.

GA was responding to queries but not playing music, so I foolishly delinked it thinking I would just be able to reconnect but that was a big mistake!

I’m still getting the “Something went wrong” after it says it has linked. I’ve wasted hours on this!

Same

Same here. I can't add Sonos to Google home.

Same here. I think it is an issue with Google.
I can’t add anything. None of these work: Sonos, Philips Hue, iRobot, SmartThings.
It is broken, but most likely it is Google messing up, not Sonos.

I'm experiencing the same problem. I bought a Sonos Beam Gen 2 and can’t connect it to my Google Home.

I tried everything possible: reset the router, reset Google Home, reset Sonos app, change any setting possible, try with another Sonos product, mention one and I have tried it.

This is very frustrating because the speaker is very nice and has excellent quality, but if I can't connect it to the Google system and control other devices, it loses much of its importance, and I will return it. I don't know if to keep it and wait for a future update from Sonos or Google or just change the brand

Same here.

Boy it would be great if sonos acknowledged something's up and gave us an indication they're working on it.

Even if it is an issue with Google, this integration is an important part of our user experience.

Same, google not working

Same here.  Have had several hours attempting to connect to Google Home.  I’ll be checking in regularly on this thread.  Hopefully there’s something that’ll come up soon.

Hi @Kazamaza et al

Welcome to the Sonos Community!

Sorry to hear of this issue you are having with adding Google Assistant to your Sonos speaker(s).

There was a brief outage, which has now been resolved. If you still see an error, please reboot your phone, speaker and router - reboot the router by switching it off for at least 30 seconds.

If you still see the same error afterwards, I recommend you get in touch with our technical support team who have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your Sonos system and what it reports.

Please note that I was able to add Google Assistant to one of my own speakers, so whatever this is, it is not affecting all users.

I hope this helps.

Are you serious? I have rebooted my router and my Sonos multiple times over the past week. I just did that now and still cannot connect

Same here. I’ve spent hours on this! still nowehere.

Hi @Kazamaza & @magnuswood

Are you serious?

Yes. As mentioned, I am unable to recreate this issue in my own testing. If those steps have not helped, I recommend you get in touch with our technical support team so they can investigate.

I have been in touch with technical support last night and it is still not working.

Yep. Still not working.
