Have a chat with other Sonos owners. What's going on in the world of music and technology? What's playing?

Not sure how loud most people have their speakers but we generally keep ours between 5 & 10 for music, which is just very difficult to adjust the way the volume sliders work. If the sliders max out at 100 or something, adjusting from 5 to 7 with my human-sized finger is a real challenge
After no action from Sonos on my order that has not shipped for 21 days since full payment was made, I am posting this here in case something like this happens to you, and also shaming Sonos into resolving this situation.=======================================================================emailed to ceo@sonos.com Sun Oct 5 2025emailed Sales using Sonos Online web form Sun Oct 5 2025submitted to Sonos Chat Bot Sun Oct 5 2025 I’m going to lay this out as simply as I can, so that HOPEFULLY, Sonos can FINALLY get the items that I’ve long ago paid for, finally shipped to me. It’s been 20 days now since I placed this Order for 7 items verbally on the Phone with the “help” of Allan M in your Sales department, and Allan promised I should expect to receive my order in 2 to 4 days.I gave Allan M a list of 7 items totalling $3,518.14. For some unknown reason, these 7 items were separated onto 2 separate Sonos orders in your Order Management System.Order containing 1 item (Era 300 Mount Pair W
I have my whole house inside and out wired with sonos. I would like the alarm functionality to be decent and believe there are two upgrades that could make the alarm better. 1. Fade in volume and being able to set it based on time. Most alarms have this functionality already.2. Allow alarms to play simultaneously on multiple zones. What do you think??
I’d like to add my vote to strongly sudgest SONOS entering the 21st century, implementing RSTP. Thank you! (On managed switches Sonos is a nightmare: really thinging on giving away my system)
HelloSonos was founded in 2002 (*) with the goal to bring wireless home audio to consumers. In 2005 Sonos released its first product the ZonePlayer ZP100. Continuing through 2008 Sonos released another six (6) products two of which are still supported today which are the Connect ZP90 (Gen1) and Connect:Amp ZP120 (Gen1).Sonos has listened to its customers and tried to bring the most innovative products to the Whole Home audio market. Consumers lobbied for and eventually were granted the ability to place their products solely on their home Wi-Fi without wiring a speaker or other Sonos device to their router to create the SonosNet. Sonos moved beyond just bringing music into the home with the introduction of the Sonos Playbar in 2013; that integrated via optical cable with a compatible TV. Sonos was now in the Home Theater Market.Sonos has continued to introduce new innovative products. It has partnered with 3rd party sources to integrate voice assistants as well as music streaming servic
"I am contacting you regarding a failed Sonos Roam (Serial: [A102 2112WC 38-42-08-34-DD-00:C]), which is displaying the well-known blinking red/solid orange light battery failure and is completely unresponsive. I have already performed all standard troubleshooting, including multiple 30-second power resets and charging with a certified 10W adapter.I understand the speaker is out of its 1-year warranty. As this is a widely reported manufacturing defect that leads to the product being completely bricked shortly after the warranty expires, I am asking for the standard goodwill resolution, which is a 30% discount code toward a replacement speaker in exchange for returning my defective unit for recycling." Sadly a defensive agent is holding on for dear life and will not offer a solution or a repair solution
Why doesn’t Sonos manufacture a HD FM radio for the house. I’d surely purchase it and hook it up to my Sonos speaker system.
Pretty sure this has been covered multiple times. Don't get Sonos. Always had issues between apps not connecting (TuneIn, Tidal, Spotify) as well as Sonos Move...
Heads up for anyone who had a perfectly good working sonos one speaker who had to update the app to continue using it. I did this and my speaker became unresponsive and therefore useless to me. After alot of conversation with sonos customer service the best they could offer me was 40% off a new sonos era 100 speaker if i returnedmy old one. I previously loved the sound quality of my sonos one speaker but im so annoyed with the service and the complete inability to resolve the situation and simply render my speaker done, that I'll probably stick to Bose products (which if they can't be fixed they will be replaced) and don't have to be constantly connected to the app to use. Extremely disappointing Goodbye Sonos
Hello Community:Do you know if there is a level 4 support? I have worked with all three levels without getting a stable system. Level 3 has tweaked router settings for me. I have had to call in the last three weekends because speakers dropped out when using Apple Music and it skips. One technician said I need to unplug every device every ten days, and she insisted that was standard recommendation. Level three has me hard wire my Beam gen 2 and sub mini. Then, levels one and two say no, that is not supported. Level one has me connect another speaker to one of the routers in my mesh system. But, last night m, a Level Two says that is not correct. Last night I was on the phone with Level 2 again for 1.5 hours with no solution, even though he also remotely controlled my computer. He is submitting an investigation. If there is a Level 4, how do I reach them? Brian
This is by far the worst company I’ve ever dealt with as far as warranty repair and replacement goes. I have been completely turned off to this company, and my wife is purchasing who actually buys products companies and was considering them, but not anymore since what I’ve gone through this is so ridiculous that a company that supposedly prides itself and quality Would let their customer service lack so bad
Hey folks. I've just joined the cult of Sonos (Beam gen 2 & mini sub). A few days after purchase (from Richer Sounds) and registration of products with Sonos. I received the following email from Sonos • no-reply@con.sonos.com The User Research team is inviting customers to take part in a short survey about their experience with Sonos products. This study is hosted by our research partner, Chadwick, Martin & Bailey (CMB), and may include an option to share a photo. Survey details: Open: August 27 – September 12 Time required: About 15 minutes Thank you gift: 30% off Sonos products up to $2,500 retail I completed the survey but have had no response. What would you guys suggest? Thanks guys. Jay
The physical speakers are the only thing that are good; and Bose would be just as good. Where’s the thread on a class action suit? Amazing how horrible the Sonos apps are (phone and desktop). System is basically unusable as 1000% inconsistent. So many screwed up aspects to all of it anymore, it’s hard to determine where to start and where to end when it comes to all the things it doesn’t do that it should, and does what it’s not supposed to, and how neither of the apps work 75% of the time (and that’s generous). Feel bad for the people who work there. -- because of how horrible the system has become and a total waste of money. So frustrating, and NO customer service support NOR systems support, of course.
until about a month ago, when I turned on Sonos to listen to a radio station, all I heard was ‘welcome to tunein’, then the station started playing. Now I get 2 mins of tunein ads, followed by local ads. I just want to listen to the radio. During the day it will restart with these ads 3-4 times. It’s doing my head in and I’m now at the point of ditching Sonos altogether and getting something else. What have others experienced/done?
I feel it’s important to share my recent experience with Sonos Customer Service and frustrating return policy. Please note, this is long so apologies if it’s a little wordy. I purchased an entire set of your award winning Sonos products in June 2025 (arc ultra, era300 x2 and sub 4 and can’t deny the products are exemplary, I regret however this cannot be said for their after sales service or indeed support. Both my era300 x2 developed a cosmetic fault the last couple of days, basically the front mesh is coming away on the left side of both speakers. I contacted the technical support team who asked me to send some photos on the phone, which I did and after a short time I was told these were covered under warranty, and that instructions will be sent to despatch these to there Service Centre, and that on receipt you’d immediately dispatch replacements. Everything sounded pretty efficient so far.I then received two separate emails (one for each speaker), each containing a return label, pro
I can’t get my songs that have been mailed to me to play thru sonis
Feel the need to reopen this! Was marked as closed, but I can’t accept that this is not getting the attention it needs. It’s a simple software tweak, and should be easily added through a firmware and software update. In 2025 we love having a GUI while operating our music players, so playing music through TV is absolutely relevant. For sonos to be hardcoded to TV-mode, when source is Line (hdmi), thats just unacceptable for this pricy peace of hardware!Hope you take note of this feature request, and take it seriously this time.link to previous request:
Hi everyone,I normally don’t post here, but I couldn’t find much info about this on other forums. I recently got a Formuler Z12 Ultra and installed Spotify on it.My question: does Sonos actually support Dolby Atmos when streaming from a device like this? I’m mainly using it with my Sonos Arc, and I’m not sure if Atmos is fully recognized. For context, this is the model I’m using: Formuler Z12 UltraHas anyone tried this setup?
I’ve used the alarm feature for years, both to wake up in the morning and periodically through the day. It would be ~~~amazing~~~ if, instead of just screeching to a halt, the alarm could fade out of what’s playing and then fade in to the alarm itself. It can be super jarring as is when white noise/music/etc. suddenly just ceases. It sort of negates the fade-in feature of the alarm. Even if it’s simply a sleep timer with a customizable length of time that can then fade out, that would allow for some time math to approximate that alarm functionality. I’ll thank the sonos gods literally every morning until I die if you can add this in pls i am begging xx
Just needed to vent. SONOS needs to fire their trash app designers/engineers. SONOS, why do you not have common sense to make simply changing WiFi networks easier? Use your own products and test this stuff! You all need to be fired.
I received an email in regard to the Sonos Research Team. I completed all necessary survey questions and the NDA ( received confirmation of the NDA ). I had to log out before completing the initial 30 minute survey. I have no idea how or where to go to log in and complete the survey. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
I have previously subscribed to Sonos Radio HD through Apple.I purposely let that subscription expire, as I would prefer to subscribe direct through Sonos. However, whn I log into Sonos on the web and go to Subscriptions, it says, “Looks like you already have an existing subscription to Radio HD through Apple. You can access that subscription through your Apple ID settings.”Is there any way for me to migrate over to subsribing from Sonos directly?
Wanted to see some Sonos Radio discussions, current, not 5 years old!Can we get a sort by date for the forum search? Maybe once we get that, we can get an option for which country forums are searched?
I REEEAAALLLYYY want the volume panel that pops up from the bottom of the app to STAY UP until it’s dismissed by the user. Or at least have a longer timer. I have multiple speakers in one room that each need to be at a different volume level for the middle of the room to feel balanced (I use the room in different ways so I’m often adjusting). Just as I’ve tuned in to which adjustments I want to make, the panel drops down. Tapping on the volume slider again and then finding the speaker I need can sometimes cause me to forget what the adjustment was bc my brain switched gears. I repeat the process over again with more focus and speed. This causes an unnecessary and negative emotional response every single time I need to adjust my system— from mild annoyance to momentary rage (if I’m being honest). I don’t want to feel a sense of urgency changing the volume of my speakers 😕. Sometimes I adjust them manually and walk around more. Having the short timer on the volume panel being up is
how to escalate if there is a 3 weeks shipping delay and no resolutions from the support team yet
