Sonos: to help with the current problems with your app, please publish the prior working release version of Sonos app (iOS) IPA for download. You can put this up on your website, as it’s digitally signed by MacOS’s development system. This makes good business sense and will allow your customers to continue using their equipment while you fix the many problems Sonos introduced with this new version.THANK YOU.
Sonos-why arent you answering support calls and whay arent you pro-active to Sonos users complaints? I am a custom installer and losing clients left, right and centre.all you need to do is search ‘trustpilot sonos’ and youll have clarity.Just lost a V large account with a hotel chain die to the the problems so too late for me/you.
… think it’s a bit insulting to receive emails from Sonos, offering discounts/credit for new kit?I, for one, feel I am not inclined to give them any more money until they’ve restored all the missing features I used to enjoy and I have confidence they’re not going to make life so hard in the future.
Hi. I recently ungraded my WiFi to a Sky (UK) Ultrafast System. I was struggling to find my Sonos system on my new network. I tried connecting direct from my router to my Sonos Sub Mini and everything then appeared and is working fine with the new App, ran trueplay and that worked too. I am a little confused as I read you can’t set up a wired system by connecting to home theatre components such as Subs, etc. Was the information I read now outdated about connecting from router to sub ? Would you leave the system alone now as it’s working ok ? Or should I try to reset my system and add from new over WiFi ? Thanks for any input.
So, I have 2 devices showing on my “system” list of products on my online Sonos account that I no longer own or have access to. My ex has them and I don’t want them showing in my account! (bad breakup don’t ask). I would really rather not see those products show up on my list. How can I remove them? Technical support did not seem to have an answer readily available. Help, anyone?
After updating to 80.00.08 (iOS) and updating the system to 16.2 I was able to create new alarms (the old ones were still missing). Alarm didn’t start at the set time and it looks like they are delayed by two hours. I think there is currently no way to change the system‘s default time, either. So I might set up all alarms two hours too early and hope that it’s not automatically changed
@Mike R HI see the recap - understand you’ll be under time pressure. Appreciate you have put up a post. Given that there wasn’t really much in the way of substantive answers. Will you be putting together a list of all the actual questions? i.e. the majority, unanswered. Whereby Tucker, as product manager can work his way through them and give actual definitive answers.I think it reasonable. Simply saying feedback has been passed to the teams isn’t going to cut it at this point.
I’ve been a sonos dealer since 2007, when they never did updates or if they did it was to add a feature or fix a known problem. I have installed thousands of sonos products. I installed 30 zone systems. Now I hate to even recomend sonos. Why? for the last three days I’ve run around fixing new hardware on S2. Some people are experiencing a loss of zone but I have had issues where the whole system has disappeared. Today I spend almost 2 hours on hold. The tech support representavive told me there was no problem but as soon as I send a system diagnostic he fixed the issue however I still needed to add 10 zones and multiple arcs and subwoofers back on the system. Why? his answer was he’s not allowed to say but he finnally did tell me he did do something to fix the problem. I bill 1500 for 8 hr day and no I can’t bill that to a customer that has been good to me through the years however I still have to pay my workers and I can’t do it for free. Even the maid at the house said it makes you l
The new app is horrible. Is there a way to revert to the previous version?
Knowing the Sonos 2.0 app has significant issues, why are you still pushing users to upgrade? Sonos is doing a disservice to its community in mandating to move to Sonos 2.0. Turn that feature off until you get your software working properly
App update is HORRIBLE!!! I purchased Sonos because it was pitched as an easy sound system for a non-techie like me. Every time I turn off the TV the sound bar is dropped along with all the other speakers in the house. Brought my tech genius in to fix it (for the 2nd time in 2 days) and everything worked fine which made me look like an idiot. This morning I followed the precise steps I was given to wake up TV and in trying to adjust the volume on the sound bar the entire house connection was lost. I’m agreeing with the comment about owning a $5000 boat anchor. Livid doesn’t properly describe my feelings.
Has anyone received a call from Sonos saying to download an app? For remote viewing on your device. When all the app comments say it’s a scam!
Hello, my Sonos Move has stopped charging from either the charging base or the USB-C connection. I spoke with an agent on the phone who transferred me to “tech” to advise me but I’ve been on hold for over an hour. I just need a simple return authorization so that I can send this defective unit back for repair. Official reps: Please contact me and provide instructions on activating my warranty return (I am within the window). Others: Any tips on how to initiate a warranty return without waiting on hold for hours would be appreciated. I can’t believe there is no simple online returns tool or customer support email address, and that Chat is often “offline” and hold times over an hour. Absolutely abysmal customer service.
On another thread, I mentioned that on the new app, I could no longer see the battery charge percentage for my two Sonos Roams. This used to be visible on the speaker tab as soon as you brought up your list of speakers. So, one click from whatever other tab you were on.I did just locate this on the new app. I had to click on the systems icon in the upper right hand corner. Then I had to click to select one of the Roam speakers. Then I had to click one more time on a line under the heading Products that showed a battery icon. That finally showed me the battery percentage, but only for that device. So, three clicks to get to that. If I wanted to check the charge on my other Roam device, I had to click twice to back out of the first one, then click twice more to get to the charge screen for the second one. Then it takes three more clicks to get back to the Home Screen. So far I haven’t found any direct way to go back there. This was so much quicker and simpler using tabs.I hope at least
HelloI have added my music library to the S2 app. Can you search the music library via the app? I could not find the search function in the app. Does anyone know?
I have a mix of Sonos components, some legacy operating on S1 and other operating on the S2 app. The S1 system is not stable. I have worked with Sonos tech support to establish a stable connection for the S1 side and it works for a while; then reverts back to a prompt requiring me to use the Sonos s2 app. So here is my question. Is it possible to run a stable split system? If so how do I reset the S1 equipment/zone?
Sonos updated its app to give it a facelift and in the process removed the Widget that made it easier to control the volume and sonos products. Because Sonos just loves making things more difficult . . . No remote, no widget, no iOS for tru play . . . .
Morning anyone else having issues when updating the new app you lose all your settings and each time have to delete the app then add the app again. And they appear back again. But I have to do that every day which is a right pain. I am guessing the new app update which was released last week has come with a bug. Sonos should left the old version app as it was. Ever since the new app it’s created a s*** storm. I know this issue is minor compared to others but such a pain in the arse
So June has come and gone. Major missing features have not been restored. Workarounds fail frequently making for a very frustrating experience. Why can the company not just re-rerelease the apps that preceded the recent changes under a different name like “Sonos Classic”?Sonos Classic would restore functionally for those of us who have been patient through this while allowing time for the new features to be developed and vetted without haste. It’s really past time to make this right and just rolling out the old version seems like a fairly easy thing to do.
I attempt to play my music outside from my Sonos amp to my outdoor speakers. If I try to play just the outdoor zone for the outdoor speakers via Apple Music from the Sonos amp is skips through 5-6 track titles and never plays. The only way to play music in the outdoor zone is to group it with another inside zone. i also went to play my music on Sonos today and it said no equipment under WiFi network so i literally had to set up all my zones today all over again.
Since *NONE* of the sonos components work, can be added, or function whatsoever with no fix in sight for months if that what is everyone moving to? What’s the current best alternatives? For speakers I guess it's time to upgrade to bowers and wilkins. What about for the control system? What’s everyone's suggestions?
OK, Community, I guess we’re it - self-support? SONOS is falling apart - or committing suicide hurling themselves over a cliff. And I’m stuck with 12 zones of boat anchors.
We are Sonos users since many years and since music is an important part of our lives we have it and use it in most rooms. We have been true ambassadors. And heavily invested users. With the new app, Sonos has gone from simplifying our lives making music an easy part of it, to complicating the everyday listening With frustrating malfunctionings and not userfriendly navigations. We Work within digital marketing and tech and don’t see that any target audience based research could have lay ground for this business decision. It feels like something decided by someone stuck in trying to fulfil personal inner innovation goals rather than letting the users and target audience needs lay ground for decisions. We are seriously thinking about Throwing it out and look for other options. But we would gladly receice input about the Sonos roadmap and plan ahead. Is this it? Or is it improvements coming our way? All serious input and tips helping us with our user experience are welcome!
I have been so angry and frankly heartbroken, by the loss of access to my very wide and long time assembled collection of music which I Iistened to DAILY via by beloved Sonos Play 1 for the past decade. For the past month I have spoken to Sonos colleagues directly to ask how to access the music which I am told sits with Apple or Itunes… B*******!! It doesn’t I have tried to change the types of files ( as recommended by Sonos colleagues) and it still doesn’t work. I am enraged. I have read at length on the Chat room for advice and it seems I am not alone. My partner who is an IT guru is equally baffled as I have enlisted his help to try and crack this.I haven’t yet mentioned the fact that my stations such as Classic FM are no longer visible in a accessible way, I literally have to scour the Sonos to see where I might find it. Searching didn’t work either. Its so unbeliveablely counterintuative and un-user-friendly and I am outraged I was not asked permission to not longer access my ser
