Noticed just recently on Peacock, YouTube and YoutubeTV that all of my sound is coming from the Arc Playbar and I get zero sound from my L and R Play 1. The PS5 menu and games, I'm still getting sound from all speakers but everything else is forced through the Arc. The app shows 5.1digital+. I haven't had an issue until yesterday and none of my settings have changed. Just curious if this is new, have I just not noticed before...What gives?
I am trying to decide if I would be better with non sonos in wall rear speakers with sonos amp or adding era300 speakers as rears. I have tv with digital atmos, sonos arc and sonos sub. I am interested in if the legacy rears with amp can support the dolby digital atmos format.
When my Sonos products updated to 15.3, many of them changed their wifi connection to my guest network. The frustrating part is they refused to connect to my main wifi (which is a hidden network) though they were all connected to it prior to the update. I had to reboot them and in the case of my Sub Gen 3, needed to do a factory reset. I hope future software updates don’t require this amount of time and frustration to resolve.
Hi allsorry for my question, but is it possibile to see a picture of a line in 3,5 mm jack to connect the source to the ERA 300? …meny thanks
Sonos One not turning on
As i understand it the sonos boost no longer works with the newer speakers?
Yes its true, I tried it all, I have even asked Google’s Bard and the AI was like “ You have done extensive troubleshooting, I can’t think of anything else you can to do.” Then Bard said that I can buy new speakers lol. Rewind a bit, so I have a Yoga studio where we have 6 Play 3’s, a Sonos Connect, Sonos Boost, and in the Lobby 2 Sonos Symfonisk bookshelf speakers. For a period of time things we good, normal the way it should be but then things got worse. Once you hit play only half the speakers would go on, it would then by about the 30 second mark all come back. Then every few tracks the audio would skip. So as I mentioned we tried everything to resolve, for example: Restarted the router, restarted the modem, restarted the speakers, updated router firmware, changed networks entirely, connected Sonos to a brand new Network, removed an existing LTE backup router, tried all the different SonosNet channels, nothing would work, the error still persisted as if I didn’t even attempt a fix
Hi!I have 2 Wifi SYMFONISK Sonos speakers and would like to add them to a bluetooth system so I can listen to both bluetooth and wifi speakers under the same group. Is that possible? Would I need another Sonos device for that? Thanks!
Hello all, I recently bought a pair of ERA 100s, and a sub mini for a living room set up. The initial set up worked fine, but afterwards I was continually getting the “cannot find your Sonos system” message in the app.So randomly, it will show up sometimes when I open the app, and more often than not, I’ll open the app and it won’t find the system anymore. I tried looking around the internet and and this is what I’ve gathered. I’m on TELUS in Canada using their Telus Wifi Hub (looks like white trash can) made by Arcadyan. I believe it’s a modem/router combination device. I’m positive from what I’ve read online that this device may be the root of the issues but I honestly just don’t know. Here’s some information about my home.-I do not have a mesh network, or any other routers. I only use the Telus hub.-I do have a basic network switch connected to my router that is used for 1 room to hook up multiple devices. (It’s a NETGEAR 8-Port Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch (GS308))-I am not in
I have the sonos beam and two sonos one SL speakers. I have one of the sonos one speakers in my dining room and the other in my kitchen. Is it possible to have the volume of all 3 speakers respond to my TV remotes volume button simuntaneously without stereo pairing them?
Bonjour, mon enceinte Play5 ne se connecte plus à ma box en wi fi, en revanche la connection se fait en câble ethernet. Je crois avoir tout essayé je me demande si cela ne vient pas du sonos. Merci avez-vous des réponses
Hi guys,I’m new to this community, and I already need your help :)I just bought a 3 story house (3x60m2). Here’s the audio equipment I just ordered for the house:level 1: sonos amp + 2x floorstander borea triangle br08 + 1x sub Velodyne Deep Blue 10 + 1x sonos era 100 (for voice control) level 2: 2x sonos era 300 (gym) level 3: sonos amp + 2x borea triangle br03 + 1x sonos era 100 (for voice control)I have access to ethernet on all three floors, but I would much prefer to end up with wireless setup. What are the drawbacks, if any? Can I count on reliable performance with wifi? If I go down the wireless path, what setup would you recommend? Which routers / mesh networks are known to work well with Sonos? Is Eero a good choice? What about SonosNet? It’s probably good for Sonos devices, but how does it interfere with your main wifi / takes airtime from all non sonos devices? Any advice on how to go about connecting the devices listed above is much appreciated. Should I go hardwired, wit
If I don’t use my Sonos Play 5 for a few days, weeks etc. then come to use it with my Ipad, I go into Apple Music and then AirDrop, which shows the Play 5 as actually playing but no sound. Then sometimes if I leave the music may just randomly start playing out of the blue without doing anything else, after ten minutes or so.
Since installing Sonos Ray sound at I can’t connect to my existing Sonos Play 1 (in a different room) or my Symfonisk (same room). Is this a common problem? Using Sonos 2 app
I moved. Setting up my Sonos One SL was easy to the 5 MHz band of my wifi. Then I set up the older components: Playbar, Sub and two Sonos 1s ... until one of the 1s was dropped from the pair (and, actually, the whole room), and now when I factory reset it and try to add it back, the app creates a new, parallel room and defaults to the 5 MHz band on which it doesn't work. Can't figure out how to switch it back to the 2.4 MHz band with the other components (even after deleting the One SL so that there would only be one network active). Hepl, please: I'm so frustrated I'm willing to consider alternatives after more than a decade on this platform....
Hello i connected my Sonos five with Samsung TV using Toslink(optical cable) + DAC + 3.5mm. My TV is also connected with Apple TV 4K. Is it possible to control the volume of my Sonos using Samsung/Siri remote (gen 1). Now both remote cannot control volume.
Hello, a recent (2 days) update has stopped my Sonos 1 working. It tells me the speaker and bridge need an update but then tells me they aren't compatible with the suggested new App. Its been working absolutely fine up until the update, i would appreciate any ideas or suggestions please. Keith
Can my play 2 be converted to Bluetooth
Hi all, I recently switched out my old pair of Sonos 1 and Playbase for 2 x Era 300 and Beam (Gen 2). I have a sub which I kept. Sadly I didn’t have the width available in my space to buy the Arc. I was going to use the Era’s as surrounds and they do sound amazing with films (Top Gun especially). However, similar to the other reviews, when listening to music it seemed to not get the full potential of the Eras (as the Beam played the lead speaker role). I have since moved the Eras into the dining part of the open plan (about 2-3m away) and they sound great! For films I just group the living room and dining room. It’s not perfect but still sounds good and better than Beam alone. My question is that I find that I have the Eras on far higher volume in the Sonos app to get to ambient sound levels than I did for the Playbase and 2 x Sonos 1. Usually atleast 30+ whereas it used to be 15ish. Then when I want to listen loudly I’m getting to 60+ whereas I don’t think I ever went above 45-50
Hi all, (newbie here, so apologies in advance!! :)When I put my ear next to the Sonos Beam (Gen 2), one of the five internal speakers does not seem to be working..It is the fourth speaker from the left. (the one immediately to the right of the centre speaker)I have tried different sources, Apple TV, Airplay, TV and Blu Ray, and there appears to be no sound coming from this speaker. The other four are fine. (and the surround Play speakers)Is there a way to play a sound or tone through each of the five internal speakers to diagnose this? There is no change when I disconnect the rear surround Play speakers, or whether I have TruePlay tuned or not.Thank you, Ciaran :)
All of the info online indicates I should be able to see network signal strength (and other details) from the Sonos app. It’s not available in the latest version though. Am I losing my mind?Trying to troubleshoot dropouts and connectivity issues (even with Boost) and not having much luck. Thanks!
I'm starting to get sick to the back teeth of the Sonos system. Every day I'm having issues with the app not detecting the system, then detecting it, then dropping out again. Have to ask Alexa twice for everything. Sonos Roam battery wouldn't charge. Have literally spent more time over the last two years troubleshooting than listening to music. Absolutely dreadful. Any recommendations for a comparable system?
I have 3 speakers… 2 Sonos One SL and 1 Sonos Roam. I have them set up in a Group.I can tell Alexa to play a Sirius Chanel on the Group and all 3 speakers work.If I try to use an iPhone or a Mac, I can ‘select’ each speaker but only 1 Sonos One SL and the Sonos Roam connect and work. I get a message ‘Airplay- Unable to connect to’ the other Sonos One SL (which, as I said, works from from Alexa to the group just fine.) Help! Thanks,Dave
So I don’t care anymore these stupid speakers never worked, been 3 years. Not sure which models they are but they run 2.4ghz and we’re new in 2017. Think it’s 4x Sonos one gen 4/5 and 1x big boy big bass play something like that I guessI just want to know - what is the absolute baller money no object mesh wifi 6 setup that will put all the bs to bed without me having to be on call to fix these ** speakers? I’m aware that ubiquiti has some issues, but they are resolvable via some obscure 2.4ghz option - not really a solution but I’ll take it if need be. Ethernet is not possible because the house is built already, and the stupid electrician didn’t put access points in the correct location.Sonos boost is trash and never works -So with a budget of £500 to infinite, what is the best hands off just werks solution? Thanks lads take it easy *Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.*
When will the Sub Gen 4 be released?
