I lost my internet service and am waiting for the ISP to come out. In the meantime, my neighbor is generously offered to let me connect to his router. I have connected my mobile and a couple of TV’s in my house, but I am having difficulty connecting any of my Sonos products. When I launch the Sonos app, at the top it says “WiFi isn’t connected Learn More”. After tapping on that, it gives me another page with “WiFi isn’t connected AND You need to connect this mobile device to the same network as Sonos”. At the bottom it has an icon indicating “Go to WiFi settings”. After tapping on a WiFi screen pops up showing some of the available networks. The top one is the one my mobile is connected to and it shows “Connected”. I cannot figure out what I’m doing wrong.
I bought an in ground passive subwoofer and would like to connect it to my Amp. I ran 12 AWG wire from the sub to the Amp and then realized it was an RCA connector. Do I need to install anything between the RCA connector and the speaker wire? Or, do I just need to buy an RCA connector?
I am house sitting at the moment and the owner told me I can use their SONOS play1. If AirPlay was compatible with this speaker, I’d be fine but, as it isn’t, I have two questions:Can I log into my own SONOS account and use it with their speaker? How is it possible to log out of their account to log into mine? Would this mess up their system when they return to log in? If option 1 is not possible, can I log into my music service on their account and log out of it when I leave? They use SONOS in their main home - if I logged in, would they have access to my music service? I’m embarrassed of my music choices, so want to stay as private as possible! Thank you.
Last weekend, my Roam, which was about a year old, didn’t power on. Then, a few days later, my Playbar wouldn’t power on. The devices are on the same network, but they’re in completely different parts of the house, plugged into different power outlets, but it just seems like a very strange coincidence and makes me wonder if there’s malware or some other issue on the network. Or...it could just be coincidence.(FWIW, Sonos replaced the Roam already and the new one is working fine so far. They Playbar is out of warranty, but Sonos is trying to make it a little less expensive for me to replace.)
Problem connecting sonos products to wifi..can someone please help
I have successfully connected my Sonos One and Bean Gen2 to my Wifi on 2.4GHz. My mobile phone is connected to the same network wifi on 5GHz. In Sonos app, it shows “Sonos and your mobile device must be on the same network”. Actually they are one the same network but connected by different frequency channel. When I switch my phone to 2.4GHz, Sonos can be found without issue.I tried to connect my Sonos to 5GHz Wifi, and it couldn’t connect. I need my phone connect to 5GHz Wifi for faster connection. Can anyone help? Not sure if Sonos only identifies network by Wifi SSID.And can anyone help to confirm if my products (Sonos One & Bean Gen2) can connect to 5GHz?
I have no idea what Sonos is. But for the last year or so, I’ve been dealing with someone somehow having access to my Spotify through an app called Sonos. I have never sign up my Spotify on any of it. Im the only person who has access to my Spotify account. When I speak to costumer service for Spotify, they were never able to solve my issue. I have changed passwords and logged out of all devices multiple times. Still, someone is able to invade my Spotify through the Sonos app and create a device named “Family Room”. None of my neighbors have families around me. I have never given my wifi password to strangers, only 3 people know it and none of them know what Sonos is. Regardless, I still changed my wifi passwords as well. It got to a point that whenever I saw someone listening my Spotify through Sonos, I’d just take over the speaker and play Metallica, heavy metal and weird noises as loud as possible. Still, at least once a week for the past 18 months I play this game of logging myse
…would send Alexa response audio out through the Five - true or false?!I’ve googled this a bit and can see people suggest that it should, but I’ve just tried and hear nothing from the Five. Is this possible or have I misunderstood? If it is possible, aside from trying a different cable (that I know to have been working about a month ago) what troubleshooting steps can I take?
Hi peeps, does anyone know if the current Arc wall mount that Sonos sells is suitable for an earlier model Play Bar??
OK so I sold my Sonos amp and Sub and went back to a wired system which suits me better. I retained just a couple of Sonos One’s for streamed music which have always sounded great. However for the past 8 months or so the S2 app constantly “loses” the speakers and I have to go through the whole re-registration process which is inconvenient (the speakers are out of reach) and takes a long time. From browsing this forum, this behaviour seems quite common with WiFi only setups and has been blamed on the vagaries of the local network system and/or router. Now I’m a network engineer with 30 years experience and have spent considerable time configuring my local network to suit the Sonos products (including static IP’s). IMHO this is not something I should have to do - the average user should NOT have to jump through technical hoops to get his/her product to work. The bottom line here is that despite all the re-configuration, the app regularly loses the speakers and I have given up. So am I sell
I am considering getting a Era 100 to connect to my computer via the new USB-C Line-In. Before anyone jumps on me that it’s not its intended use, they actually mention it on the Era 100 product page it says: Line InUnlock new listening possibilitiesConnect a turntable, computer, or other audio source using an auxiliary cable and the Sonos Line-In Adapter. I understand the required sync delay when grouping rooms or wireless stereo pairs, but I’m hoping it’s less than 75ms for a single Line-In device with the new Era’s. I know most Sonos speakers there is a minimum 75ms delay introduced. My question is, if you have a single Era 100 (not a wireless stereo pair, not grouped with any other rooms) connected via Line-In to a computer (or TV, or turntable) will you still get the 75ms delay, or is it lower? Anyone with a single Era tested? Since computer and turntable are being advertised as a feature of the Line-In and I know the delay was a discussed issue in the past using Sonos speakers
I currently have my Fives paired (L & R ) in vertical orientation but would like to flip one to the horizontal to better fit a shelf. Any concerns about having them in different orientations? Yes, I should just try it, but I don’t want to start moving stuff around if it’s a bad idea. TIA
can you have one move on wifi and another on Bluetooth
Having installed a new BT Hub I cannot get things to work again. (I rang the helpline which says it’s open until 19.00 hours at 18.12 but it said it was closed).I have a S2 Amp with hard wired new ceiling speakers.Despite powering down the amp and separately wiring the amp direct to the hub, I cannot get the app to locate any equipment.Does anyone have any suggestions?
So i cant use the old sonos app at all as it just tells me to download the new one, which i did, however my sonos is found but when i update my account it just stays on the page!!

Had my Sonos move wireless for 10 months and in the last few weeks it’s started cutting out frequently during songs. I use Spotify and through the Amazon Alexa connection. Also found it always cuts out for the timer alarm
Had my Sonos move 10 months and in the last few weeks it’s started cutting out, every 30 seconds during sounds it cuts out for 4/5 seconds and the. Always cuts out when the timer goes. Any solutions?
Has anyone experience their system while in sleep mode come on and emit a extremely loud warbling rhythmic sound?
I question why I spent over $500 on two Roams if it lacks the technology to be compatible with non-Apple products. Yes, AirPlay is cool, but if I wanted to just use the Apple ecosystem than I would have bought four Apple HomePod Mini’s for the SAME price, yet double the speakers, and honestly, way better features.Consider this a feature request for audio output on PC to Sonos speakers.I have the PC Sonos S2 App I have two Sonos Roam speakers and a Sonos One I want to have surround audio sound like I do when I use my Apple TV, but for my PC instead. Currently, because of AirPlay, I am able to do this with my speakers. However, the PC app is being left behind, there is no option. I CANNOT have PC audio output go to my speakers right now. Therefore, if I wish to use YouTube or another streaming service via my PC, audio will not go through the speakers. The point of purchasing these speakers was to use on devices that were not just Apple. I liked the fact that I can have pair/party mode whe
Hey guys, I have an Arc, sub and 2 x One SL's setup in my media room. Am i able to add my Move to this system so i can take the move outside and listen to whatever is playing?
Sonos support have just advised me that I need a Sonos Boost, because my two Sonos 1s (stero pair) only work on Spotify if one of them is wired into the router. Is a powerline network an alternative, so I can wire one of the speakers into the network in the room where I want them?Lordwanswell
I have two first generation sonos 5s setup right and left. They are part of my system of about 6 other sonos devices. I’ve experienced them randomly turning on in the night and while on vacation. They blast at maximum volume the last played station. In addition, while listening, I’ve had the volume mysteriously turn itself down. Lastly, I’ve heard loud deep sporadic beeping recently as if it was being programmed. At first, I thought perhaps a lizard or small creature, as we have here in the tropics, was running over the controls and activating it. I fashioned covers to prevent this possibility, and the issue persists. I’ve unplugged and plugged in the speakers to reset. I just don’t get it. It feels like someone has hacked my system and screwing with me. My wife and I are the only ones with app access. Is anyone having a similar experience? This system was a large investment and it is starting to get on my neighbor and my nerves. Thanks for your thoughts and help!
I have an existing Arc and 2 x OneSL as Surrounds as one room and 2 x OneSL as another room. How do I add the extra 2 x One SL to the Arc to give me 4 One SL as surround sound?
How do I turn off the green light on top of Sonos play one?
