For some reason my 2 play One speakers will not stay connected. This is new as I had the 2 play Ones connected with my play Five. They are all on Wi-Fi and the connection is excellent. Additionally , I have done the factory reset on the play Ones twice. They connect for a minute and drop off I haven’t made any changes to my network, etc Any help would be appreciated
I have an outbuilding that is connected to the internet through a wireless access point. It is the same signal as the house but with a different name. I have a Five in there so need the outhouse WiFi to be a trusted network. My issue is that I have two Era 100s in my conservatory that isnt too far away from the outbuilding so you can pick up the WiFi signal sometimes. They are connected to the network in the house but occasionally pick up the signal in the outbuilding. How can I stop them from connecting to this network? The signal is visible but the strength isn’t great unless you’re in the outbuilding. It’s causing them to lose connection and then reconnecting to the house WiFi, but I can’t make the switch networks manually. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
It’s like a game of whack-a-mole dealing with Sonos issues. I purchased a new Arc since Tech support couldn’t help me get my Playbar to stop cutting out. The arc is working fine($800 later), but Alexa won’t properly control groups I create within the app. I have disabled the skill, removed all the groups, deleted all the devices, and registered everything. When I make a group called “upstairs speakers,” Alexa says okay but only plays the music on one group of upstairs speakers. Same happens for when I try to play music everywhere using a different group. If I use the Sonos voice integration, the commands work fine. Obviously it’s an Alexa integration issue, but there is no way I’m dealing with Amazon tech support, which may be the only thing worse than Sonos tech support. Is there any way to make this work properly? Why would it choose some speakers in a group vs others to use?
How do I eliminate the Line In audio delay on my Move 2? To clarify I would like to have no delay. Thank you
Hi,I am having trouble getting a Playbar to recognize the volume controls from a new remote and am looking for options or advice.I have a new TCL TV and an old Playbar. The Playbar worked great with the previous TV via optical audio, including recognizing the TV's IR remote volume up/down commands. The new TCL remote is Bluetooth and IR. I have turned off Bluetooth on the TV and confirmed the remote is now using IR-only by covering/uncovering its IR emitter with the TV receiving/not receiving commands.During pairing with this new remote, the Playbar will recognize it has seen a volume + signal, though it is temperamental -- the remote has to be in about the "right" position. However, the Playbar never recognizes the next steps of pressing the volume + button three times.I have tried different batteries and I have tried with the TV on, off, and unplugged. In all cases, the Playbar will recognize the first volume +, even if temperamental to position, but will not recognize three volume +
As far as I know this only started a couple of days ago after the last of our computers got their latest Sonos Controller for PC updates (to 15.9). We have been out of town for 2 months, and only have been back for the last week.ISSUE: volume drops to nothing from some of the grouped devices.REPRO STEPS:set a group (“main” device is Play 3 which has a wired connection remainder of devices are connected via wi-fi) play music from Spotify (have not been playing from many other sources, so cannot swear it doesn’t happen with other sources) This morning, I was playing for about 20 minutesRESULTS: no volume from most devices in the groupDIAGNOSTIC 2066897565NOTE:Devices are still seen as connected to the group Devices have a light showing they are connected Pressing volume up/down buttons on the devices with no volume is reflected in the Controller App UI Pressing pause and play buttons on the device with no volume pauses/restarts play on the devices that are still having volume in the grou
My Sonos Play 1 was having trouble with Spotify. It wouldn’t play the next song and would be stuck on the previous song. I decided to unplug it and remove it from my Sonos app to re-add it.Now, as I try to re-add it, it won’t work at all. I’ve tried factory resetting it, but even that fails. You’re meant to hold down the volume + sign at the same time as the play/pause button while plugging the device into an outlet. You continue holding until the white light starts blinking orange, and then start blinking green. It NEVER starts to blink green and I’ve held it for well over a minute… The Sonos app identifies that there’s a Sonos Play 1 system in the area, but when I try to connect it, it never “chimes” and therefore can not be found. I’ve had 2 Play 1 sono devices for about 10 years and tbh, it’s extremely disappointing software and always has problems.
Sorry if this has been asked but I currently have two Sonos amps- one for in ceiling wired speakers and another for exterior speakers. id like to buy a set of 300s to connect to the tv for sports - not worried about surround sound. My question:(1) can I connect the 300’s to my Samsung Frame TV via Bluetooth or WiFi and (2) connect them to the interior speakers via the amp?
Doing normal connection from my Windows 7 and told that “Sonos 1 is not compatible with my system and I must update to Sonos2” The update fails because my system is not compatible with Sonos 2, (which is why I have never upgraded). Uninstalled everything and re-installed Sonos 1 from scratch. On opening, it again tells me that “Sonos 1 is not compatible with my system ….”. There is nowhere to go from here and no support available after 6:00pm in Queensland. Is my system a write-off?I am getting the same messages on my Android tablet and phone. Raymond
I want my 15 percent off the Arc. I have spent thousands of dollars with sonos, and I was told I couldn't use it because the Arc was currently on sale for 719 dollars, which is a 20 percent discount. So that means that everyone gets a discount? I feel disrespect from Sonos
Edit: problem solved! It was a nearby device!!
My Sony Bravia TV has been using it for more than a year and using the Sonos beam speaker and just happen to stop and switch automatic to TV speaker. Any help is appreciated.
I have changed my wireless provider. I cannot get my old gen 1 play5 to work. I have the same network in the app and on my phone, but it will only work if I revert to the old network on my phone. That network is not present in the app.
I’ve been using an Era 100 for 6 months and love it. Recently bought a One SL to use in a different room on the same system. Don’t want to pair them, just have the Era in one room and the One SL in another. It seems impossible to do this. Is there any way to do it?
I have a 100 which was working OK, Just bought an Era 100 which set up easily, but when I tried to add my 100 in another room it could not find it.I’ve probably done it the wrong way round and should have added my new speaker to the existing set up.
Im abort to buy a second hand unit and want to check the serial. is that possible?the serial is: A201 2306WC xxxxxxxxModerator note: Private data removed from serial number
Trying to do a factory reset on a Play 1 speaker and it’s not working. I get as far as having a flashing orange light, but it doesn’t transition from this stage to flashing green. Ironically I had no such issue with its companion Play 1 (I use them as a pair, together with an Arc and Sub). I am in the process of setting everything up on a new network. Even with the orange flashing light, my app will commence the connection process - it connects my phone with the Sonos temporary network. However, when it gets to the “chime” stage, there’s no chime. After looking for a chime twice, I’m then prompted to “try something else” and this is where I get into difficulty - I’m prompted to press the Play/Pause button, but nothing happens (probably because the speaker is in flashing orange mode, rather than flashing green).
Go to register, input email, and get to the press the buttons on the top, which is where everything stops. Any help?
I have a Play 3 and am considering upgrading to an Era 300. Will the improvement be a significant one or barely noticeable? Worth the money to upgrade or not?thanks
I have a Play:3. I cannot reset it. Did all the steps but the light only stays amber and will not turn green. Help!
I’ve posted several times about the horrible Sonos CS. Don’t ever buy anything directly from them because they laid off everyone but two people in logistics. But today’s issue is that I still can’t get my Playbar to stop cutting out. I called CS and gave them my diagnostics. They made up a number of things that were the “obvious” problem - turns out every time they were wrong. “Must be Apple Music,” “Must be that you haven’t restarted all your devices in 19 days,” etc. After 45 minutes, they had me swap my Playbar - on the top floor of my townhouse - with my Arc on the main floor. The Arc worked fine in the Playbar’s location and the Playbar worked fine in the Arc’s location, which makes no sense. If interference was the root problem, the Arc would also cut out when placed in the Playbar’s old spot.I went to look at the Matrix to check out the signal of the Arc when placed in the Playbar’s old spot, but there’s no noise data, which I guess is the result of it being a newer device (beca
The apartment complex I live in has contracted community/tenant WiFi through WhiteSky. Each unit has a unique password for the receiver in the unit; however, my Sonos PLAY 1 won’t connect to the WiFi.Is there a workaround to this outside of buying additional equipment?
Can I connect an iPod classic to a Sonos Era100 speaker via line in an stream to rest of speakers
I have a Sonos One connected to the System in my MBR. I’ve set a daily alarm playing radio. Worked fine till Oct 23 recently, after some update to the controller. Now this Sonos One will disappear from the system randomly, not frequently but couple times per week. There will be days where the alarm will ring but not playing the radio but just the alarm ring. I think this meant that the One wasn’t connected to the WIFI (with flashing white LED), but opening the app shows that this One is not connected to the system and I have to re-add this One. Just today, the alarm wasn’t ringing at all. I checked it and there was this green steady LED light, and when I pressed the vol the green went away and the flashing white LED, the One is not connected to the system again and I have to re-add it.I’m guessing this One lost the WIFI connection maybe in the middle of the night, but I am not sure what is wrong, cos the WIFI is working correctly (have rebooted the mesh router to troubleshoot it but can
