Sonos Voice Control

I just bought 2xERA 100 and 1xBeam (Gen2) (still waiting for delivery of Beam). I used S1 until yesterday for my 4 Play:1 and Connect. For a very long time it has been possible to update the app, I have waited since Connect is not compatible, but now I decided to take the step. And I wish I would not have!! I do not have to repeat what so many have said already concerning playlists (unfortunately I did not know until today after setup and testing). But I am asking, WHEN is it coming? Another question I have: I really hope it will be possible to use voice control to play songs from my own library! If that is not coming I will certainly return my new speakers. 

I can't get Sonos to play radio stations from Sonos Radio using voice control. The stations are in my Sonos Favourites. “Sorry, I can’t find that on Sonos Radio. Please try again with another music service.”I’ve tried playing the stations via the app, asking “What’s playing” and pronouncing my SVC commands similarly, but no joy. example: RTÉ Lyric FMAny ideas? Is there a way to rename a favourite station in the iOS or desktop app that might get this to work? I’m not using Alexa and don’t plan to. 

I am unable to get SVC to recognize and perform any commands on the Sonos AMP. I have two ERA 100 and two ROAM 2 and one Sonos AMP. All of my ERA’s and ROAM have SVC enabled and this is where I am making my requests. The AMP is currently set up as “Basement”, and is usable within my APP and functions properly with groups when done within the APP. However, when making any requests to SVC regarding the Basement (AMP) it will not do anything. So, if I say “Play Jazz in the Basement” or “Group this with the Basement” or “Add Basement” or “Stop playing in Basement”, nothing will work. Any command specific to the basement will not work. The only thing SVC will do regarding the basement is play the AMP when I say “Play in the Entire House”. Has anyone else had this problem, what should I do?

I recently bought 2 Sonos Era 100 speakers. I just now got voice control going so I have the latest updates. I am having the following issues:1. Sonos does not get homophonic words right, even after many repeats. E.g. I say "Play the band Forus" and it plays something by the band "For Us" after repeating Forus, it plays "Russ", etc.2. Sonos does not seem to recognize long names. I say Hey Sonos, play "I only go to school for the handrails" and then it acts like it didn't hear me and goes back to playing what it was playing when I made the voice request. It does, however, recognize "Sunday Bombs" and plays the correct song. It seems like there is no mechanism where I can correct these errors in recognition so that it learns over time based on the music I actually listen to (e.g. tell it that Forus means Forus). Is this correct?  

I see requests and non-committal responses regarding voice control for BBC sounds going back many months. Surely this is a central service for many users, in the UK at least. Is there any likelihood that Sonos will get round to supporting this in the foreseeable future?

Hello,My rear one sl are in the living room and I would like to know if there is a Sonos voice command that could set on / off surround? So that we could have a nice diner while kids look at the tv :)thanks

I am having great difficulty getting Sonos Voice Control to recognize the name of a couple of radio stations. (using SVC on ARC, Roam, and Roam2).When I ask it to ‘Play Radio RNZ Concert’ (which is available on Sonos Radio, and I have it as a favourite) it either says ‘I can’t find that content’ or ‘you need to subscribe to service that has that’ or plays some random R&B…(This happens even when I pronounce the ‘z’ as ‘zee’ as opposed to its proper pronunciation ‘zed’)!I have tried renaming the station in my favourites to simply ‘Concert’ but still no joy.So two questions -Any idea why SVC won’t recognise the name RNZ Concert (or RNZ National for that matter), and how to overcome this? If I rename a station in favourites, do I use the station’s ‘real’ name, or my given nickname when requesting it through SVC? PS if I manually select the station, and ask what station is playing it says ‘AR EN ZEE Concert’ - so it appears to know the name)…With thnaks,Uptix

It's been weeks and I cannot successfully connect my Era100 to Sonos Voice Control.  Note that when I tried setting up the Sonos Voice control , Sonos app is always updated.  Please advice.Thank you

I'm trying to disable Sonos Voice Control on my Era 100 using the iOS app. When I click “Remove Sonos Voice Control” I get this error:Something went wrongPlease try again I have repeatedly please tried again to no avail 🙃Tried rebooting the Era 100 but still got the same error A different Era 100 in my system was able to successfully remove voice control Tried force quiting the iOS app but no luckMy system is running the most recent version 16.4.2 (Build 81.1-58074) and iOS app is the most recent version 80.09.09

My Sonos app keeps crashing repeatedly every time I try to go to the voice control option, any tips or reason why? Also my Sonos Beam stops playing music from time to time, and I don't have WiFi issues.

I would like to use Sonos‘s voice control to equalize volume level across multiple speakers or speaker groups,  

I would like to change the default alarm or timer notifications if possible. Is that configurable in Sonos and if so how do I do that? Thx

Hi Community,Any a suggestions? When I try to enable Voice Control on my Arc (connect via ethernet), I get the following error: "There was a problem starting Sonos Voice Control. Make sure your mobile device is connected to Wi-Fi." My phone (Pixel 7 Pro) is definitely connected to WiFi on the same network as the Arc. I've rebooted it, still the same.I did enable VC briefly when the feature became available, but subsequently disabled it.Any advice gratefully received,Andy

Hello,We’re 3 Sonos users at home, each of us logged on his smartphone with Sonos and with his own Apple Music account set. My issue is around Voice Control or Alexa. How can I ask a specific playlist to be played? Example: my son has an Era 100 in his bedroom and when he asks “Hey Sonos, plays my playlist Likés” it plays another playlist, from another Apple Music accountDoes anyone has a solution to allow everyone in the same house, to ask for music, from different Apple Music or Podcasts account?

Hi guys,I have no idea how to fix my problem.I use Sonos voice control to play/pause/change my music and control the volume.I have 3x Era 100: 1 in the living room (ground floor), 1 in the kitchen (ground floor), and 1 in the bathroom (upstairs, besides my children’s rooms).Sometimes, I ask Sonos to play music e.g. only in the kitchen. For a weird reason, Sonos has decided that it will answer my vocal commands on the speaker that is upstairs.For another weird reason, Sonos has also decided that it will answer me super loudly on this speaker.This leads to very uncomfortable moments, where I am in the kitchen and ask for some music and Sonos yells from the bathroom upstairs (“SORRY, I CAN’T FIND THAT”, or “SURE!”, or “HERE IS NORAH JONES FROM SPOTIFY”), which is very displeasing as it sometimes wakes up my young children.Thank you!TL;DR: I use Sonos voice control mainly in the kitchen. Suddenly the assistent stop working. I have tried to delete it and reinstall it. It says:  An issue occurred with starting Sonos Voice Control. Please make sure your mobile device is connected to Wi-Fi. Tried several times. The mobile device is on the same network. And there is no issues with the connection. Any solution would be appreciated. 

Just watching TV in the living room and my Sonos One decides to scream at me in full volume. Chicken man saying something like, 'To get the Sonos app.............' What's going on now 🤷‍♂️

Hi everyone !As stated in the post title, there’s no weather location option in sonos voice control settings so when I ask about weather to SVC it says I have to setup the location…To provide any possibly relevant details :- I confirm the app as well as all speakers firmwares are running last version.- In case it matters I am French and so everything is settled in French language.- I tried with both iPhone and iPad apps (I haven’t any android device to check)- I already tried to uninstall and install again SVC as it was already installed prior the new version but without success…Thanks for reading and if you have any ideas I’m all ears 🙏😊   

I’m trying to let each of my children play Spotify content on their own Sonos speaker via voice control, without taking over or interrupting each other’s sessions. It’s not working and it’s driving everyone crazy. Here’s the current setup. Anyone see what I’m doing wrong? Spotify Premium Family with individual accounts for each family member (5) Sonos Roam for each child’s room (3) Each child has their own iPad with the Sonos app installed. Each instance of the app is signed in to my Sonos account that has all speakers added to the system. Sonos Voice Control has been added for each child’s speaker The child’s Spotify account has been selected within their instance of Sonos app Each child’s iPad has the Spotify app, signed in to their account (full Spotify - not Spotify Kids) Concurrent playback DOES work when each child starts a session from the Spotify app and selects their speaker. In my household, apparently it is only possible to have one system owner. If I want to use Sonos voice assistant, it is not possible for me to use my OWN playlist. If the system owner is not present, I cannot add a new Sonos device nor edit my OWN Sonos device. I think this is A very poor thought through concept as everybody should be able to edit the Sonos household, or at least let the System owner give the rights to different Sonos users that are in the same household. Because now I cannot use my Sonos to my full extent and have an incredibly limited use of my own Sonos. I cannot even wake let my Sonos wake me up with my own music. And I cannot reach the Sonos customer service if I don’t wait at least 30 minutes on the line. Also, the chat feature is unusable as you start at at least eight place and have to wait extremely long. The Sonos customer service is one of the most exhausting and customer unfriendly list services. I have tried to reach in a long time.

Hello all, Any body knows why tidal is not on the voice control service? Will it be added soon or sonos do not have plan to implement it? 

The new Sonos Move 2 speakers do not set up any of the voice control. Message comes back failed please try again. I have tried many times on sifferent days of the week, still no success.
