Hello, I’m not able to use my somos play 5 gen 1 after completing all updates of apps and system. S1 can find it as its wired to router but prompts using s2 app. And s2 app not able to see the system. S1 iOS app is v11.2.5S2 iOS app is v12.2.7both iOS apps can see the play 5 gen 1, but each one highlights the other app to use it but none can supervise it. My other Sonos play3 and One working fine with S2. 

I read most of the posts on this topic but still a little unclear on the Sonos Components required. Currently have regular Paradigm in Ceiling Speakers ( for Rears), a Paradigm Powered Subwoofer. and a newer Sony TV. Mostly stream and use a media server to watch TV and movies. Also have an older Sonos Playbar. In order to use my existing components I assume all I need is to buy a Sonos amp, connect my TV (via HDMI), plug into the sub port and connect my rears all to the AMP. Would this be correct and would it work and will the Sonos be able to “tune” the room? Of course the Soundbar would be my Fronts and Center (for now) and can I assume nothing needed to plug into the soundbar other than power?. Any assistance appreciated. Thanks, John

Is anyone else having issues with Spotify via the Sonos S2 app?For the last few months, I have had consistent issues including: Lags in response to controls  (change volume, skip, change playlist, add/remove rooms, etc.) for up to 15-20 seconds Music dropping out (10-30 seconds) immediately after any change to a stream (skip, change playlist, volume, etc.)  Failure of stereo pairs to operate together, either briefly or permanently, most commonly after in response to changing any of the functions listed aboveI have chatted with wonderfully responsive Sonos support a number of times, and they have suggested the following, all of which I have tried to no avail: Change channels, which I have tried many times Change the position of my Bridge and wireless router - I have tried many configurations   Validate that I have the Bridge connected to the proper port Ethernet port, which I have done.  Nothing has worked with respect to Spotify, but oddly, I don’t see nearly as many issues when playin

Apple have just announced CD quality and 24bit high resolution lossless playback for Apple Music coming in June 2021. Is Sonos going to be able to play these lossless files direct from Apple Music like Tidal?

I have been lurking on these forums since I pre-ordered the Roam a month or so back. In the last few weeks I have been watching the threads about battery drain closely. I, like others, am experiencing what I consider sub-par battery performance.Since the software update last week (13.1) I expected improvement, but the device appears to still wake itself up (white light on at random times) and thus drain battery.I saw a suggestion that the device was designed to constantly be sat on a QI charger when not in use. I have several Native Union QI charger’s around the house (rated: AirPods up to 5W, iPhones up to 7.5W & other Qi compatible devices up to 10W). I have been leaving the Roam on these chargers when not in use. Upon placing on the pad the white light will turn on, I assumed by design, but whenever I lift the Roam off these pads the battery is usually very low.What’s going on? I have a Beam in the lounge with two One SL’s as surrounds. Google Assistant works fine on this setup. I have just bought the Roam and when trying to add the Google Assistant, it simply does not find the device. I have now tried it several times, both through Google Home and also starting within the Sonos app. I removed Google Assistant from my Beam and tried again in Google Home, it found the beam instantly … but not the Roam. Ugh. The Roam is on my network, I can play Spotify through it, I can add it to other speakers to play the same music concurrently (speaker groups?) … but I can’t add Google Assistant … as Google Home just cant find it! Frustrating to say the least. 

[Solved: see 4th post] Hi! This is quite odd: My Roam in Bluetooth mode allows me to adjust the volume, no problem.My Move doesn’t. The volume slider on the phone changes, but it has no effect on the actual volume. That can seemingly only be controlled when I hit the touch buttons. This is quite ridiculous, given it should be very similar firmware and adjusting your volume in Bluetooth mode seems like a very common use case for a speaker that’s supposed to be used, on the move, without available Wifi. When is a fix for this coming? Should be trivial, given it already works with the Roam. Thanks. L

Hello,My Sonos Playbar is not able to connect anymore. I reset to factory settings, restarted wifi, connected via ethernet. None of this worked. I can’t re-add the product: It searches, finds playbar correctly, then I push the buttons to complete connection and there it fails.Thank you for any help in advance!

Hey for all I am looking to buy Sonos arc but I am curious about something and my question is when using arc while watching for example YouTube will the arc decode that as stereo and if so , will the Sonos arc work only like a 2.0 soundbar meaning only the left and right channel will work ? thanks so much for everyone .

We have four products which were all working fine on the S1 app, and all incompatible with S2. Two of them have stopped working and demand an update, which forces an update of the app on my devices to S2. So I thought I’d factory reset them (having tried all the reboot network options) and now when I try to add them using Add Product in the S1 app, they won’t connect, and again an app upgrade to S2 is forced.  It’s in an endless loop.  This system has worked perfectly for years. Have Sonos really now cocked things up, unless I upgrade everything to S2?

I was the lucky owner of a a Connect·Amp, and readily “upgraded” to AMP. Reconnecting the same speakers does not give me the same quality (expected an improvement).  The speakers connected it 2 x Speakercraft Speaker (ACCUFIT ULTRA SLIM THREE) and a SpeakerCraft  8.2 BAS  in-ceiling  sub-woofer. The way they connected to Connect:Amp was connecting the 2 channels to the subwoofer, which then sends “non-bas” to the 2 speakers. With AMP that gives a very thin sound with a very light bas. OK. How long do I press the start button to start it? I press and release and nothing happens? I know the longer I press it other functions take over but…. It seems hit & miss to start the speaker? Also, I full charged it and left it for a bout a week and it’s flat? I’m just getting the red light at the other end flashing?  Should that really happen? Thanks

Just got two new Sonos Ones. Unplugged two old Play 3s and 5 (gen1) which we weren't going to use any more.Started set up using Sonos 1 app. Didn’t remove the three old items from the app. Think that was a big mistake! All well setting up first One. Then had an issue with the second One. Thought moving to the new Sonos 2 app might help.Upgraded but now in a horrible loop. S2 app says I have an item incompatible with it so I am sent to use S1 app to upgrade but that sends me back to S2. I can’t get out of this loop.Help greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hi,Long-time SONOS user here but now considering expanding and upgrading my system to include a soundbar (Arc or Beam), sub, and upgrading my old Play:1s with One SLs.The problem I have is that I’m not sure I have space for a soundbar. Got a Panasonic TX58DX902B here, which we like and unlikely to upgrade any time soon. On the supplied stand, the bottom of this TV screen is only 40 mm above the surface of the unit on which is sits.The height of the Beam is 68.5 mm.The height of the Arc is 87 mm.Both of these soundbars would be higher than the bottom of the TV screen.I don't want to wall mount the TV, but I suppose I could consider getting a plinth on which it could sit.The other alternative is that the soundbar could sit on the metal base, below the cabinets or I could wall mount the soundbar behind the TV.Any good suggestions on what to do here, please?Thanks,Steve

My Sonos will no longer recognise one of my Sonos Connects. When I try and add the Connect again as a new device the app tells me “App Update Needed” (the version of the App on my phone is 11.2.8). When I attempt to update the App I get an error message “Update problem”. The associated error code I click on more information is 1101.I have rebooted my router and wifi. I also also uninstalled the App and reinstalled it. I have also tried doing the update from my iMac. Nothing has worked.Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi all,After last week’s software update on my Sonos Arc, my Arc does not play any TV sound anymore unless I physically remove the power from it. I am, however, able to play music through the Arc just fine (via the Sonos app).Here’s my setup:Apple TV 4K LG C8 OLED HDMI ARC linkThe problem occurs after the TV has been switched off and then switched on again. Nothing else changed in my setup or device firmware except for the Sonos software update.Anyone experiencing this as well? Any tips or ideas? Thanks!

Hey all I got the Roam delivered on Monday, and have experienced some unusual behaviour, which I’ve summarised below:Powered the Roam off (holding down the power button until the chime), put it on charge (wirelessly) and the Roam immediately turns back on.So, I powered it down while it was sitting on the charger, which seemed to do the trick, and left it to charge. When I went back to check it a few hours later, it was switched on again! So I guess my question is this… does the Roam turn on automatically when being charged wirelessly? If so is there a way to turn this feature off? Thanks

The last few days when I ask Alexa on SONOS to play Spotify all I get is Alexa responding “here is Spotify” and complete silence. This is happening on all my SONOS Alexa enabled speakers. I have disabled and enabled the Spotify skill and the Alexa app and I am still getting the same results.

HiI subscribed to this, free trial at the moment but I still have ads and cannot skip tracks.Have I missed something?The S2 app shows Sonos Radio HD stations so it’s definitely enabledTo clarify, my S2 app is fully up to date and I have done a reboot of all speakers. Seems to be the same. Still have ads and can’t skip tracks but it does say ‘Sonos Radio HD’ on the station itself. Cheers 

I've recently purchased a sonos arc, sub and 2 one sl's and set them up as a home theatre using the panasonic -TX-55HZ980B eARC. When I watch dolby atmos content via Netflix app on the TV, the TV is showing dolby vision and dolby atmos, but the sonos app is only showing pcm 5.1I've tried disconnecting the TV and arc bar, turning off the power and then reconnecting everything. Briefly I got dolby atmos through the arc and it showed in the sonos app.  Went to bed, turned off the TV as per normal and came down this morning and had no sound at all. Disconnected and re connected the hdmi cable and got sound. Still no atmos.  All the TV settings are correct. eArc is enabled, it's connected to the hdmi 2 eARC so why does it keep losing atmos? Very frustrated as I purposely purchased a TV that supports dolby atmos and eARC to work with the sonos arc yet it is very intermittent.   

I am getting an error on youtube music when trying to play from playlistsFirst it only brought in my liked playlist and not any of my other onesSecond in my liked playlist all songs are grayed and I get an access is denied error message.I have a youtube premium subscription.I have tried reauthorizing and disconnecting and reconnecting my account.

HI, i have been with vodafone for a few years and due to where I live have accepted slow broadband and constant dropouts but after it interrupted t football game i decided enough is enough and contacted there support and have they have been looking at the connection issues and have stated that “ Sonos products talk amongst themselves and are crashing the connection in the router. This is a long standing issue that we are aware of and have not had any information form sonos as we need to work with them to get a fix in place.” By connecting everything by LAN cables (running everywhere not looking good ) for the last 5 days it has stayed constantly connected but they cannot see the products connected to the router. They are ringing me back in a week as i said i would try to find something out but have had no joy as all the products work but it crashes my internet connection. Any Ideas?  Sonos ArcSonos OneSonos Play 3 

I have a 65x900b Sony series with and Sonos Arc connected in hdmi arc port. Also I have an amp for rears. Built-in Netflix tv app play 5.1 with no problem but none of the third party streaming devices play DD+ or Atmos, only stereo. I tested Roku ultra, google tv, PS4 and apple tv. 

I’m use NAS to Play music in sonos,Before update Ver 13.1 is All can Play,After update All File name NOT English alphabet Can’t Play,Just Display ????????.mp3 ,is some change in Ver 13.1?Can FIX ?
