I'm trying to link my Sonos move to be voice enabled through my Amazon Alexa account. I have three other Sonos speakers that are good to go and set up. As I am going to link my move to my Amazon account through the Sonos app it requires me to fetch a six digit pin code through a one time password to the email affiliated with my Amazon account. I've done this multiple times and that specific one time password email is not showing up in my email and I've checked every folder spam and inbox. Because of this I cannot link my Amazon Alexa account to my Sonos move to her voice control. Is there another way to somehow link my Sonos move to my Amazon account to the Amazon app or do I need to do it through the Sonos app? It has been super frustrating waiting around for an email that has never showed up. This is been going on for over 12 hours

Hi Sonos -I am increasingly frustrated by differences between the desktop app and the phone one.  I hugely prefer to use the desktop app - largely S1 because, as an early adopter I have at least ten Sonos products to control.  It’s also an age/vision/dexterity thing.  I have a large music library, about 35k tracks, and navigate using the Folders tab. BUT, it’s not available in the phone app to navigate neither On This Device nor the Music Library.  Please see if it’s possible to make this aspect of the phone app match the desktop app.Thanks,Ian.PS It is of course possible that I am missing something.  If so, please show me how.

can I connect SYMFONISK frame to the Beam? thanks a lot

I have this error when using YT Music Premium on Sonos:"Playback paused because your account is being used in another location."I have no problem to use YT Music on any other device. Just on Sonos I get this error.I contacted Google support who referred me to Sonos support.I rebooted all devices, modem, smartphone, Sonos, I have 100mbps Internet at home and strong WiFi."Your confirmation number is: 719196082."  

Hi there I am looking to purchase a record player and need some support to ensure I am ordering the right product for me. We already have :- 2 x Play1 (I think this is what we have, we have had them a couple of years now so may be an older version). They are not wireless. - 1x sound bar which we have for the tv - 1 x subwoofer I am looking at what the best option for a vinyl player would be? It would be placed in the same room as the sub woofer and Play1. Are either of these compatible? Or would we need something else? Also is it recommended to get one already with the amp built in or not?  

Hi all, I used to be able to go into the Alexa app and select either Arc or One and the app would take me to a settings page to change things like “enable announcements” etc but now tapping on any Sonos Alexa enabled product, it does nothing!When I first setup my new Arc a few months ago I had full functionality and amended several settings that were Alexa related, so I know it used to work.Any advice or help greatly appreciated.Oh and by the way I have disabled and enabled the “skill” sh*tloads of times! Still no good.

Not sure if this is a new problem or if I just noticed it.The left rear surround One SL is much more quiet than the right. Or maybe the right is louder. Either way…it makes me feel like I have hearing loss in my left ear when watching a movie because of the unbalanced volume in the surround speakers.I’ve retuned trueplay, and removed the rear speakers from the surround system then re-added them and retuned trueplay and it has not fixed the problem.I submitted diagnostics: 1027529887Looks like I’m not the only one with this problem, but haven’t seen a good solution beyond skipping trueplay and setting everything up manually…but the audio quality sucks compared to trueplay. 

Quick question. I have speakers which are compatible with S2 app, though the Bridge and connect both need to stay in the S1 app. Will my speakers still speak to the connect if I want to play vinyl from the record player?

I have two Symfonisk Bookshelf speakers as a stereo pair in my bedroom. I had an Echo Dot in my bedroom with the Symfonisks (“Bedroom”) as the preferred speaker for the Dot selected in the Alexa app along with a Firestick. With this set up everything was working fine. I could say “Alexa, play music” and it would play music through the Symfonisks. I could similarly adjust the volume and stop the music without suffixing the command with “in the Bedroom”I’ve added an additional Echo Dot and paired it with the original one as a home cinema for the Firestick. The Bedroom Symfonisk pair are still the preferred speaker. Now, I can still ask it to play music without suffixing it with “in the bedroom” but I can only get Alexa to control the volume or stop the music by adding the “in the bedroom suffix” to the command.Any ideas how I can resolve this?I’ve tried disabling and re-enabling the Sonos skill with no luck.Cheers!

I just picked up a pair of Sonos One SLs from Best Buy to use as surrounds for my Arc and they arrived at my home in different product boxes - one black, one white. I couldn’t find much about this online besides one or two Reddit threads that said this was a “minor” product update where the unit is now more power efficient and the packaging more sustainable. Should I be concerned enough about having two different hardware revision units to ask for a replacement, or does it really not matter at all and they will play just fine with each other and give the same performance? Not sure how much under the hood ACTUALLY changed…TYIA!

Is there a way to have the Sonos Roam connect to a paired Bluetooth device automatically upon turning it on? It seems to default to the Sonos system and switches to Bluetooth only if I press the back button for 2 seconds or explicitly connect to it on the phone

Hello everybody, I have some problems with my client sonos system.We have:  9 connect:amp (gen2) | 1 playbar | 1 sub (gen2) | 1 play 5 (gen2)my client connect(turn on) the play:5  two times a week on the pool and line-in from projector to watch movie and group the play:5 and pool amp’s.During last 2 years everithing was working great until last 2 month, the system after connect or disconect play:5 goes down and he needed to reboot all amps to play music again. Last week, the problem changed, now everytime he connect(turn on) the play:5 all system goes down, music stop playing everywere and all amps just desapear from his S2 app Until he disconnect the play:5 from the power, and then by magic the sistem start apearing again in the app and after 5/10min start work perfectly again.all system is in DHCP so its now ip problem, i already reset the play5 2 times and every time I add it again to the system, goes down. Can anybody help me with it? :c

I have read over 30 different support articles, and only 1 person seemed to have the same problem which lead to no help and the customer replacing there tv and giving up on the surround setting and switching to stereo, I have the main bar, sub, and 2 back speakers, all set up in app and attached as surrounds… output setup as Dolby 5.1, things like commercials and music use the surrounds, but actually watching tv or throwing on a movie surrounds stop working and sometimes will be on but extremely quiet and distorted…. Please help 

Bought our daughter a Sonos Roam for her birthday. We are however a S1 household with many speakers, Alexa integration and smart home IoT devices.Given the fact I do not intend to update to S2 anytime in the near future, how would I best setup her Roam? Should I create a net-new Sonos account for her and install S2 on her mobile device? What about Alexa integration and the fact that is tied to my login and account? I really do not wish to install the Roam under my account at this time unless someone can convince me otherwise as I’ve heard rumblings of potential issues running S1+S2 under the same account. Just looking for best practice here without sacrificing functionality for both my daughter, or the rest of the household. TIA

Sonos Beam won't broadcast; Sonos One will broadcast.  Using Google Assistant.  Here’s what happens:ME:  OK Google, broadcast.SYSTEM:  What’s the message?ME:  la la la la laSYSTEM:  OK, broadcasting now.Then … nothing.

I have an LG Nano9091 75” with an arc. Lately when turning it on it blasts my Arc att full volume! If I turn off the tv and do it a second time it goes to 0volume. Not sure if LG did an update. But the issue still happens. Should I lean toward the LG or the arc for the issue?

If i upgrade my play 5 gen 2 do I have to throw it away / trade it on or will they now let you continue to use / sell it on. 

Hi, this is the simple problem.i’ve just configured a share over my QNAP NAS through SAMBA sharing protocol, the NAS is updated and SMB is at version 3.I’ve pointed a major share directory in which, on surface, is visibile the snapshot folder and it start with a @ symbol; the problem consist in the fact that all other folders in that share are NOT VISIBLE in the scanned library from SONOS app, phenomenon that never happened before activating snapshots (so with that virtual folder visible and accessible).if i point/map directly a subfolder inside the main share showing the @ dir i see everything about what’s inside, i suspect there is some king of problem this special chars … could you investigate?Thanks in advance

I am writing this question because I do not know if this setup would work. I would like to send the video signal from the Fire Stick TV (netflix content) to an HDMI to Optical Extrator and forward it to my projector (BenQ TH585) through the HDMI OUT. For the audio I would use the Optical Output from the extractor and connect it to my Sonos Beam. I would appreciate if someone could confirm if this setup would work.Thanks in advance! 

Hi I,ve had sonos for years always had the usual problems, buffering etc. I thoght I had sorted this with a Boost which worked great for a few months, but now every time I go to put it on I have connect again to wifi, always the same message, sonos not detected on your wifi. I do all the usual stuff reset app works fine then I leave for work come back try to put it on same message again sonos not found on you wifi. Any ideas. Thanks 

Hi All, Question for the forum about a 4.1 system with two amps powering passive architectural speakers (sonance). In our family room we will have this setup, with the two fronts (and phantom center) in wall around the TV. The rear surrounds will either be ceiling or in wall surrounds.  I know the rear AMP will be effectively a slave to the front AMP, but would it make any difference to hook up both ceiling and in-wall to the “slave” AMP? I expect it may muddy the surround, but haven’t seen anything on this. In short, would using 6 passive speakers in a 4.1 set-up (with 4 in the rear/surround) add anything or actually detract? many thanks. 

I got a new Sonos Move yesterday and I am having some issues with it. First, there was no green LED when powered on, so I needed to reset it first. Does that mean it was already used? It seems it was packaged ok. Battery was on 8% taken out of the box (checked over bluetooth). I managed to connect it to Sonos app, but the WIFI connection drops so frequently its unusable. I do have both 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz WIFI on the same SSID and dont have any issues with other connected devices (TV, laptops, phones...). Should I bring it back to the store?Thanks for help,Jaxak

My Play:3 that I’ve had since ages (I’ve had Sonos since they launched the ZP100) suddenly started skipping/slipping/repeating samples recently. It produces a kind of record scratching sound when it happens. I usually stream from YouTube Music. Anybody know why this happened and if/how I can rollback to working software? It’s beyond obnoxious.

So I just purchased a Sonos home theater system along with a Sony Bravia X90J TV - can anybody tell me if a true fix exists for the sound dropping from the system and reverting back to TV speakers??? I was not aware of this when I purchased the system. Very disappointed. I have spent hours and tried all the fixes that people claim to have worked. Can anybody give me answer to a problem that I cannot believe exists!!!..Please try again or create a topic

Alarm can not be snoozed, it just starts playing music. It starts playing at the right time, but when I check my phone there is no option to snooze or anything, it looks like it's just  playing music as normal. This problem has been since the last update.
