My understanding of S2 (as opposed to S1) is the main benefits I would get are:SMBv3 support Hi-Res/HD (which I’m not likely to use) A platform that is mostly the same as S1 but works A chunk of new hardware replacing 16-year old hardware, including warranty Potential of S2 platform development over standing stillAs I would be upgrading from v8.4 I would lose 3 CR100s but regain Spotify streaming. Mandatory UpgradesI have 4 ZP100s, A ZP80 & a Play 5 that would need upgrading to support S2, all of which are eligible for 30% discount. And cost me £2,585. Optional UpgradesI also have 5 Play1s, a Playbar and a Sub that are all Gen1 but are S2 compatible to my knowledge. To upgrade these to the latest they are eligible for a 15% discount. This would cost me a further £2,246. Hello! It seems once you connect a Sonos Five to a home theater setup you are no longer able to initiate auto play through line in. This seems like a weird software issue that could be fixed pretty easily. I understand most people hooking up their home theater probably have another place they setup to listen to records but I would love to be able to use my turntable when I’m not watching TV without having to unpair my fives from the home theater group. Any suggestions (beyond buying a port because I know that’s the easiest solution)? 

I’m traveling with a Sonos Roam and would like to have it available in S2 app connected to WiFi network instead of on Bluetooth via AirPlay.  Is it possible to connect the Roam to S2 app … even if I need to create a new account and setup?  Or is there another way to stream Spotify or Apple Music directly to the speaker instead of via Bluetooth / AirPlay from my phone?  

I have my Sonos Beam connected to my Dish Hopper and TV via HDMI.Suddenly yesterday, after I played some music on the Sonos system via Airplay from my Mac (iTunes), my Dish remote stopped controlling the volume on the Dish_TV-Sonos setup. I can’t find all Finnish radio stations in Sonos. For example the traditional Jouluradio is missing. What is the reason?

Hello, I have several Sonia products and have always worked just fine. Recently had a broadband issue resulting in change of password. All other WiFi de vices have updated including Sonos products, except Move and high is “missing”. I’ve. Even through the find missing products section many times and cannot get to connect.  any help would be appreciated. 

The tv does not all Fixed Audio Out does anyone know how to configure this tv to provide level volume output across all sources through Beam without turning tv volume levels very high ?

Hi - any chance I can set-up the Arc with 2x Sonos Move? Any tips / tricks / updates would be massively appreciated. 

I have 2 Beams in separate rooms (my only Sonos products) and I am trying to get both of them onto my wired network (house is wired for Ethernet).The first Beam connects no problem and recognises the wired connection. The second Beam will only connect on Wi-Fi and does not recognise the wired connection at all (it will not allow me to disable the Wi-Fi).Is there a specific technique for getting this to work? 

Hi, I have a Sonos beam and 2 Sonos ikea lamps, I have an issue where when using surround sound the surrounds keep cutting out briefly then coming back, I bought a boost to improve this and it did for a bit but now the issue has returned, I have removed the surrounds and readded and restarted the boost but this is still happening, does anyone know a fix for this? Thanks in advance🙂 Diagnositcs code 93151066

All the home theatre master players contain two radios: 2.4GHz and 5GHz. The 5GHz radio is only used to connect its satellites (which is also why the HT master can’t connect to a 5GHz WiFi). I have purchased a 4K laser projector (Optoma UHZ65LV) and also an Apple TV 4K.  In common with other people on these forums I want to create a Dolby Atmos surround sound set up using Sonos kit.  I currently have purchased the SUB and two One SLs…..    so I will need to fill this in with an Arc and another two One SLs I assume. On to the questionNow from reading the forums I understand that when using Apple Airplay 2 to connect to Sonos you lose all the Dolby Atmos information.  You just get stereo.  So can someone explain - given that constraint - how do I achieve my desired setup ?   Bearing in mind that in a large room you have the projector at one end.  Connected to the Apple TV via HDMI.   And then at the other end of the room you have the screen and this is (obviously) where the Arc will be installed.  So a wired solution would be quite a stretch …I am technically competent, but I am a complete newbie to cinema / surround sound / etc.  So go easy on me :-).  Appreciate any help 

Does any one know, if a new Sonos Arc speaker is about to release any time soon ??On the Sonos.com ( DK) side, it states that the product is currently ordered as a backorder ( restordre ) . So that’s a bit strange, since that usually happens before a new product launch.. Just curious 👀

HelloI am planning on purchasing a refurbished sub gen 3 and since this is my first time buying refurbished from Sonia direct, I had a question about the box. Do the refurbished items come in an exact box that a brand new would come in? Is there any indication on the box (I.e certified replacement) or any other wording that would differentiate it from a brand new non refurbished so is product? 

I have a Alexa Sonos system at my primary house. I purchased a Alexa beam for my secondary house. At the second house, the Sonos will only work if I manually select music from my phone on the Sonos app. If I ask Alexa to say " Play Pandora Rock Station" Alexa says, " You must activate this on your phone". It is activated on my phone, as I have used my Alexa Sonos system at my primary house. I spent an hour on the phone with Amazon and got nowhere. The said to ask Sonos. The problem seems to be with Alexa interfacing with Sonos at two different locationsl. Please Help

I’ve had  My Sonos since 2019. All of a sudden there is static and sounds like in and out on Radio.  Diagnostic :  1714425429

Why does the alarm sometimes select to play a different radio station than the one I have told it to?  I want it to play DR P4 but often it plays a commercial station instead, and I think it is The Voice. After all they are both danish stations. But it is very annoying. 

I heard from a friend of mine that technically, S2 is possible on S1 hardware - and all it takes is for Sonos to enable it on your system (which seemingly they can do remotely, presumably though your log on account).I’m told that if you have a big enough setup (ie. you’ve spent enough money with them) and make enough of a fuss, they’ll enable S2 for you. I have no idea if there are limitations once done, but S2 isn’t wildly different from S1 anyway, so probably not.Anyone know any more about this?

Hi! I have the latest Sonos 5, a Move, two Roams and the Sub. My question is if I want to plug a turntable in via Aux socket into the 5, will it only play on the 5 or will it play on all speakers? 

When I try to add apple music to sonos, I get a blank screen. I went through all steps on the support page and nothing worked. I also have the latest sonos app and software installed.This is clearly a problem with the android app. How can I add apple music to my sonos system?

Hi  i recently had to reauthorise my apple music on my sonos but when i did that i was stuck at a blank page. Subsequenlt tried to remove itunes and add again - same issue. Also tried to reinstall sonos app - same blank screen. I am using android and have also updated my phone’s software there.  Pls help !
