Hi community,I just bought a Beam Gen. 2 for my LG BX 4K OLED TV (latest LG WebOS firmware installed). The LG BX has HDMI 2.1 (eARC) and I used this HDMI Port to connect the Beam 2.Right after the initial connection and finishing the setup, I noticed a very unstable connection of the Beam which results in the TV constantly switching back and forth between the Beam (ARC output) and the internal speakers. So basically it’s sound coming for 3 seconds from internal TV speakers, then 3 seconds from the Beam, then 3 seconds from internal speakers, …Also I noticed that the whole TV becomes very “laggy” and unresponsive when I use the LG remote as long as I have the Beam connected via HDMI (eARC). The HDMI connection between the LG TV and the Beam seems to mess something up somewhere. When I unplug the Beam from HDMI ARC, TV becomes responsive again via the TV remove.I initially used a new HDMI 2.1 cable for the setup and have tested with a different cable - same result.Quick search indicated

Hi everyone,if I have a Beam plus 2 x IKEA Symfonisk as a surround system, which of the speakers will be the default for music playback when using Beam as a smart speaker?Would it just come from Beam, or could I set the surrounds to ‘full’ and have music playback from all three? TIA

Arc, Sub and ONE surround sound issues with new LG TV - Spotify issuesHello.  I recently purchased a new LG OLED TV and SONOS ARC, Sub and 2 ONE rears.   I’m really pleased with the performance, but I'm having some inconsistencies with the surround sound from Spotify.  When I stream from the App on my iPhone and connect to the SONOS system through Airplay the sound is great and clearly everything is working especially the rear ONEs.  However, when I connect though the Sky Spotify App the sound only appears to be coming through the Arc soundbar and is weak on the rears.  Its better when I connect through the Spotify App on the LG TV (without going through Sky) but its not as strong as the iPhone Spotify App going direct to the SONOS system.  Is there a way I can get full sound through Sky or the TV that is like the quality for the iPhone App?  I think I’ve checked all the settings.  Perhaps going through the TV etc losing the strength or surround element of the SONOS system?ThanksJames 

I bought a new Arc a few weeks ago to replace my Samsung sound bar and then was given a Gen 1 Play 5 which I was hoping to add to and then use as a rear surround. However I now find that the Play 5 only works with the S1 app and thus is not compatible with the Arc.I would like to avoid buying new due to the cost so is there any restrictions or guides as to what play Ones or One SL’s will work with the Arc?Many Thanks.

Sonos ARC (+sub + two SLs) has disconnected from Samsung TV (model QA65Q60TA) after 10 months of no issues, and I haven’t been able to figure out how to fix this.

Hi,I have been using Spotify connect for over 4 years now.  About 3 months ago it stopped playing Spotify.  I can start a song, however 5 seconds later it stops.  If I turn the volume up or down it works for another 5 seconds.  I have updated the software on all devices.  The connect is wired (therefore is not a network issue). All other streaming apps work fine, it is just Spotify that doesn’t work - which is frankly the only streaming service that should work. please help - this is driving me crazy.

I have a Samsung 65MU6100 4K TV, with Sonos Arc, sub and two Sonos One’s and a new Apple 4K TV box.If I connect the Apple TV direct to the TV I have no problems with anything. All apps work well including Netflix.As my TV will only handle Dolby Digital Plus I also have an Arcana. When I connect the Apple TV through the Arcana all apps work (Disney, Neon etc)  well apart from Netflix – every time I scroll to different shows, or try to stream something, the screen goes black and have no sound for a second or so – very annoying.I have looked on many forums to find a solution but nothing suggested has worked (resets etc).I have made sure all the display settings on the Apple TV unit are the same whether connected directly to the TV or through the Arcana. The only things different is through the Arcana the audio is set to Dolby Atmos.Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have some local  .Mp3 music and am unable to save a que as a Playlist.  I find the Playlist process awkward. I simply wish to create Playlists from my locally stored music within Sonos that persist. I found several pre-made lists I would like to remove. 

I put up my Gen 1 Beam for sale so I did a reset and it flashed green indicating a successful reset but it’s still showing up on my devices in system. Did I do something wrong or does it take a specific amount of time for it to disappear? 

Hi,Sonos has discontinued support for Windows 7. I have my Sonos library on a Windows 7 PC. I am concerned that if I update the iOS app, it will no longer work with my PC/library.Do we know that updated iOS apps will retain compatibility with my “Sonos Controller for PC” v13.2?I would prefer not to update this PC as it does everything I need it to. We all know that Windows updates can cause problems. Thank you,Morty

I am doing a renovation with walls and ceilings open and think I want to go down route of Sonance in ceiling speakers throughout the home and the one area I am confused about is my living room / home theater set up. Previously I had floor standing speakers, center speaker over fire place and two rears behind  / the the side of my couch which is pushed against a wall all connected to a Denon Receiver.  My preference is to eliminate the floorstanding, center + rears and go with in ceiling speakers connected to Sonos Amps since it is really the main living area that happens to have large couch + TV vs dedicated home theater set up.   If I go with the Sonos Amp to power in ceiling speakers throughout my home, can the in ceiling speakers pull double duty to connect to my receiver when I want to watch movies.  Am I just supposed to scrap my Receiver and use the Amps instead   If so how do i set it up?  I see the user guide for amps suggests 3 speakers near front of TV (L C R) and then two re

Hi All,I’m new to SONOS. Planning to purchase 1 pair of SONOS ONE/SL for complete home theater system.This will be integrated with Arc + Sub Gen3.My concern regard to ONE/SL placement since I were not allowed to have wiring or cables dwells on my living floor and that makes thing complicated.Currently undergoing full wiring work at my home, so would like to use this opportunity to place sonos one/sl plug point against the wall however it will be at the edge of ceiling at my rear seat.The length of my living will be 18 feet long. and width is about 14 feet long.This are the planned setup, my only option is to set ONE/SL at the edge of wall ceiling. This will be the beam of my staircase hence no space to lower the ONE/SL at the wall site. It must at the edge.The ARC placement will be about 2 feet from wall since this comes with 75” TV and TV cabinet placement. Also the distance to seat is another 10.5 feet due to the TV size.Is this design do-able, also that i tilt the sonos one/SL horiz

We have a couple stero pair of sonos One speakers in the lounge which we use just for the radio mainly and occasional streaming from Amazon Music. I have been thinking of sorting out a hi fi set up for another room just for vinyl and CD mainly. I like the Sonos sound and was possibly thinking of buying a Rega turntable, Rotel CD player  and Sonos 5 speaker, unsure if i would need one or two speakers as yet. I notice there is only one input on the speaker, how would i connect both Rega and Rotel to it. Any help appreciated, or any other alternatives, or would i be better just buying a hi fi amp, cd player and speakers.

I’m on the verge of forking out some cash for premium wired over-ears. Currently driving a pair of Wharfedale EVO 4.1 with my Sonos Amp and wondering how to use the Amp as source for my headphones to play. I understand the Amp does not have a headphone jack? Do I need to buy a headphone amplifier the will connect to the Amp and then send signal to the headphones?If the above is possible, and I connect the headphone amp to the Sonos Amp and then to the headphones, should I stream or play anything through the Amp, won’t the sound playback go to both the Wharfedale speakers AND the headphones? How could I have speakers AND headphones connected to Amp and decide which will be playing?Thank you all.

Hi guys! i’m pretty new to Sonos world. I just bought the new beam gen 2. I connected it via hdmi arc to my sony KD65XH9096 but i have an annoying audio lag/delay both with tv and ps5. I tried to correct via sonos app but i can only increase the delay and not decrease. How can i solve this?? 

Hello All — I have researched and read all of the material on Sonos + Pioneer Elite. I have a minor twist on what appears to be a common prob and could use some expertise. I’m trusting this is a no judging zone. :)My Pioneer plasma is a PRO-150FD, older than dirt but beautiful. I use a Roku stick on HDMI and until recently a Playbar connected via optical cable. I moved the entire setup to a new room and cannot get optical connected with the original or a new optical cable. I have tested the speaker in other rooms and it works with different setups. Could the optical cable port have gone bad?  Is it worthwhile to try a port switcher with digital audio outputs?I’m hoping the answer to the last question is yes, and if so, can you help me with the setup?  While a simple setup, this doesn’t come easily to me. I have spent hours on the phone with sonos and they determined that the plasma is not receiving the optical audio signal. I’m looking for a way to save the TV AND the playbar  I would

I am profoundly disappointed that my Play 5 is no longer any use - a paper weight as others have now termed.I write to see if SONOS have come up with an answer yet.  This is a very expensive paper weight, and is now not fit for purpose, nor is there anywhere that states it would be subject to be upgraded so it becomes inoperative.  Is there any fix for this please?

Sonos Speaker works fine when at the main office, if Sonos Speaker is on a satellite office, speaker won't connect to controller or vice versa. Same SSID 

Hi. I have 15 Sonos speakers connected in various configurations across several rooms. Two of the speakers are first generation Play 5’s controlled via the S1 app. The rest are controlled via the S2 app.  Both systems are rock solid and perform flawlessly independent of each other.  I have purchased a Sonos Roam and have attempted to connect the speaker to my system using the S2 app. The system appeared to get confused during set up stating the new roam required an update.  During this update the speaker disappeared from the S2 app.  For some reason it is now only visible on the S1 app. I’m fully aware its not compatible with the S1 app. I am now unable to remove it from the S1 app. I have reset the app and wi fi router without success.  Should i delete the S1 app, reset the roam and attempt to connect to the S2 app and If successful then reinstall the S1 system? Thanks.

What the title says. when i say ok google this is the response. I can't reach the internet right now check your modem and router connections and try again. I have had no issues with my system or google assistant for maybe a year. All of the speakers will play music through the app but none work with google.I have a my system connected wireless to a central netgear nighthawk 6700 on a 2.4ghz band both running on channel 1. no repeaters, no switches no mesh. I have 5 speakers with google assitant and none of them will connect.so far i have:updated the router and sonos apprebooted the router, modem and speakerschanged my wireless channel to 1 on the router and sonos appupdated the router to allow guests to see each other and access my local networkupdated my network in the sonos appremoved google assistant from a sonos One and tried re adding it. Setup:65” TCLLatest 4K AppleTVSonos Arc connected via ARC portIssue:Sometimes I’ll be watching a program and I’ll want the audio to extend over AirPlay to various HomePods in my home. When I do this from the AppleTV, the audio is not in sync between the ARC and the HomePod(s). When I attempt to run the AirPlay audio sync tool on the AppleTV, it throws the lip synchronization off significantly.Has anyone else possibly run into this? Thank you

Hi ExpertsI'm new to Sonos world. First bought pair of One SL around 4 months back and now added Sub (Gen 3). However the Sub is sounding very underwhelming, hardly any difference than what I got with only pair of One SL. I tried with different genre of music and also tried increasing the Sub level to +8 but the change is minimal.  I need your suggestions to diagnose and fix the issue. Thanks in advanceKoustav

My Sonos one speaker does hear me say “Hey Google” (because it makes a beep sound when it does) but won’t respond with it’s voice and doesn’t do what I’ve asked it to do. It’s just complete silence after the beep. I’ve added the assistant through the Sonos app and added the speaker (and some HUE lights) to my Google home afterwards. When I say “Hey Google” whilst I have the Google assistant app open, I can make it play music through Spotify or turn on/off my lights. If the app is closed like it normally would be if you call for the Google assistant, it doesn’t respond. I don’t think this is how the Sonos speaker’s assistant should behave, right? Is there a fix? I’d like to use my Sonos speaker to turn on some music when I have my iPhone in my pocket.
