Can Sonos Port be used as a DAC for a CD Transport?

What's up folks?

I have an existing Sonos system throughout my home. A couple Play:5s and few Sonos Ones throughout. About a year ago I decided to build a vintage HiFi system. I want to integrate the two systems, so I'm considering picking up a Port. Anyway, long story short, all the line level inputs on my preamp are currently being used. I want to upgrade my cd player and I'm considering a dedicated transport only player (no on board DAC). My question is, since I only have one AUX input, can I connect the Port to my AUX input on my preamp then connect a transport only CD player to the Port. Effectively killing two birds with one stone. Adding streaming to my HiFi system while simultaneously using the port as a DAC for the CD transport? Will this work?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for your time,

Kyle

The Port line-in is analog, it has no digital input.
