I’d like to use my existing 9.2.6 theater setup for music via the Sonos app. Can I use the PORT “without” an input device connected (tape deck, record player, etc) as access to play music through (existing) receiver (RCA input connections)? TIA Rob  

Hello - I am having the issue above after setting up a new Spectrum remote UR5U-8780L with my Sonos Playbar.  I used the Sonos app to setup remote control, and everything is working great. However, when I adjust the volume +/- or mute using the Spectrum remote, the volume adjusts but I also get the message “not available” from the Samsung TV.  I want to get rid of that message.  This post from a few years ago describes the issue perfectly and provides a link to FAQ to fix, but the link no longer works - can the correct FAQ link please be provided?”Hello, The message is popping up because the TV is still receiving the IR signal from your remote to adjust the volume, but the speakers are disabled so it's giving an error message of sorts. There are ways to bypass this on-screen message by using a cable/satellite TV remote or a third-party TV remote programmed to adjust just the PLAYBAR's volume but not the televisions. This may sound like a daft question but do TV channels broadcast in more than one format?What I mean is before I had the Sonos Arc I had no idea what format I was playing as I had no way of knowing.Then before I had added the Sonos Sub Gen 3, the Sonos app was showing as, say, Stereo PCM and finally now that I have added 2 surround speakers it is showing as Dolby Digital 5.1So surely the same broadcast must be broadcasting audio in multi-formats at any one time? 🤔

I have an odd problem where all my Sonos devices in the house are (expectedly) using SonosNet, except for my newest Sonos Fives (which I have configured as a stereo pair). Does anyone have any theories as to why this would be the case? I thought that Sonos devices would prefer/use SonosNet when available, and everything in my house (other than a Move which I know only supports WiFi) does use SonosNet. Is there some kind of device limit for SonosNet? In “Sonos System Info,” I do have 16 devices that list WM: 0 (i.e., SonosNet), and so I’m thinking maybe 16 devices on SonosNet is the limit? But looking online, I haven’t found a reference to device limit. BTW that stereo pair seems to be working fine on WiFi, so it’s not a big problem - I’m just curious.

I have a Sonos Beam connected to my TV via eArc with two Sonos One surrounds as my home theatre system. In addition, I have two Sonos Ones in my bedroom and one in the kitchen, too. Plus, two HomePods in the mix. If I’m watching a program on my Apple TV and then switch the tv off to listen to music from my iPhone’s Apple Music app thru any speaker in my house, the Apple TV insists on to playing the previous tv show thru all the speakers. The Apple TV actually switches the song out for the TV show.  It takes at least 15 minutes to convince the Apple TV to give up control. Sometimes I just want to through the Apple TV out.  Is there anything I have mis-configured?

When playing albums from ‘My Sonos’ in the S2 app tracks keep skipping. Tracks only skip when playing from ‘My Sonos’ . Also I don’t see the HD/UHD flag nor the music source (I.e Amazon) in albums stored in ‘My Sonos’. 

I have a Sonia Beam connected to a Samsung TV through the HDMI ARC port.When the beam starts, or when it has been muted for a period, the sound is distorted and crackles for the first few minutes. After a while it returns to normal so it almost seems like it needs to ‘warm up’. Is this normal behaviour?

I may be wrong on this, but I am sure when I looked through my album list in the music library, I got a grid view of the album names and cover art. Now I get a list view. This using the controller app on Android.Is it my imagination that it used to be a grid view? I can’t seem to find any setting option to toggle between grid and list views.On my iPad mini, I still get a grid view of the albums. 

Every phone, computer, Apple TV, and SVS streamer turned off and powered down yet 1SL was playing music. In fact it’s playing a 67 song playlist which was last thing I was playing but with everything off where is the music coming from? 

Hi, Today I’ve been listening to my Apple Music playlist via the Sonos Apple Music service (NOT streamed via AirPlay 2).I noticed that some songs were louder than others during playback and I know that if I was streaming from my phone they’d be at the same volume with sound check enabled (which it is on my phone).Is there an equivalent function in the Sonos settings that will achieve the same as Apple’s sound check?  If there was I’d not have to keep upping and lowering the volume.CheersWhingbag 

My system is comprised of: a Connect; 4 Ones; a 3; and a Move. The system is "wired" with only the Connect connected with ethernet.  My household has accounts with Apple, Spotify, Pandora, and Tidal playing through Sonos.  Tidal is the primary service I personally use. I've read historical threads in this forum that Tidal lossless files "need a more solid wireless connection" otherwise song skipping and a 'connection to tidal was lost' error message may occur. I have been receiving these errors recently and it finally dawned on me that these errors did not happen until I got the Move. Could it be that my "wired" Sonos mesh network is solid, but including the Move in the same speaker group is causing the errors because the Move's Wi-Fi connection is not so solid? Anecdotally, this seems to be the case as I've had successful Tidal listening sessions with the Move left out of the speaker group, but this is not proof. I am hoping to get a definitive, technical answer. Thank you.

Why don't these ***** make a device that can be used as a PC Speaker? Do they want us to chuck the triangular thing into a ditch and get a proper speaker? i currently own 1 Sonos AMP that will power my Sonance MAG 6.1 outdoor setup for the pool area & will buy another AMP to power (2) Klipsch AW-650’s that will be for the Patio area. I will also buy the Sonos Port to control my Onkyo 686 amp that is powering my home theater setup.I do plan on bringing a spare 43in Samsung TV out in the patio/pool area that i will want the audio from the TV to be playing from the Sonos Amps.The question I have is, IF i run an HDMI from the TV (via ARC) to lets say… the AMP that powers the patio speakers… can i have the audio from the TV going through the other Sonos components ?If so, will there be audio delay/lip sync issues ?

I have linked my new Sonos One to Google assistant. I use Youtube Music Premium as my default service.  When I ask Sonos to play music….It says “Playing music on Youtube music”...”Sorry something went wrong ….” and it does not play any music...

I have recently bought a Sub 3 and I have been experimenting to try and find the best position to place it.I have tried in the corner of the room, underneath my settee and behind me on the floor but I like my current position the best on the floor by the side of my TV cabinet.However should I be concerned that my Sky Q digibox is only around 2ft away from the Sub itself as I know that strong speakers (that are in the Sub) can affect hard drives abd there's one in my Sky Q digibox!Many thanks for any feedback.Cheers 🍻 

I am very interested in purchasing a Brennan B2, however before committing I would like to ask those who have the knowledge on this forum will it work with older Sonos equipment?I have the following kit -3 x Play 3 speakers, 1 x Connect and a CR200 controller. I have the Sonos S1 app on a smartphone and PC.Many thanks 

new system set up . all wireless no boost no ethernet . Wifi is stable and fast. no other networks . Sonos reports none of the devices are found ? Go to bed with them working and then all lost .Songs play on spotify for a few minutes then lose connection All unit are in fairly small house and wifi router above is in center of gouping. We have play three and roam and SL1  and no amount of resetting and rarangin has worked 

Can I add two Gen 2 One SL Speakers as separate front left and right channels to a Sonos Home Theater System that includes a Sonos Play Base, Subwoofer, and two Play Five Surround Sound Speakers that were all purchased in 2018? The Play Base is connected to an LG 4K TV via an optical cable. The rest of the speakers are connected to the Play Base via WiFi.

My order for the Arc emersion kit shows backordered, Ship date from 2/25/2022. Is everything backordered or just the Arc? Can I get a partial shipment? The ones and the Sub?  Assuming there are many of us on the backorder list. Can you tell me what order dates are being filled now? Just want an idea where I am on the list. 

Hi All,I have a bit of issue with the Sonos setup.I have an Opnsense router and unifi controller running on it for Wifi.I have installed 3 One SL , 1 Sub 3gen and a Beam Gen2 Only the Beam Gen2 is wired to an unifi switch this switch is set to RSTP.The Sonos is connected to my home network where I have firewall rule all to all allowI have 2 rooms, kitchen where 1 One SL is locatedAnd TV corner where 2 One SL , 1 Sub and 1 Beam is locatedNow the SUB does not play when added to the tv corner, only when I move it to kitchen is does work.Now I adjusted the following:Auto-optimize network: off  IGMP Snooping: on Multicast Enhancement (IGMPv3): on Block LAN to WLAN multicast and broadcast data (Classic UI): off The Port where the Beam is connected to is set to Enable Spannin tree protocol But only wifi is also not working. I have turned the wifi off for the beam btw on wired.  Can somebody help me?Is there an limitation?

I have google nest mini and Sonos one. I cant use “ok google” let Sonos play music.But I can play music thought Spotify app , Sonos app , Mac app. Steps to reproduce(speak to google nest mini):1, Ok google,play music on Sonos.2,Ok,play Spotify music on Sonos, sorry, This device does not support this feature. Steps to reproduce(speak to Sonos one):1,Ok google, play music on Sonosdoesn't respond.but if I ask weather or time, it worked. I changed my google assistant default audio device to Sonos, it also doesn't work.

I keep having to unplug them and replug them back in for them to appear in my products. Only power cycle seems to solve issue. All my other speakers are fine, it's just the two rooms I have playbars that keep disappearing over night, both also have TV plugged into them.This has been happening for ages now, since an update a while back.I've looked at my network and there's only just the one wi-fi all my products are using. I've tried removing, and starting fresh, didn't help.Thanks for any advice 

Hello everyone, this has been kicking my butt for a while now so decided to reach out. Have had my gen 2 play 5 connected to my system for years now and a month ago it stopped wanting to work on Wi-Fi, only plays when using an Ethernet cord. I’ve tried resetting it to factoring settings, rebooted router/modem etc with no success but all other speakers are working just fine on Wi-Fi. Submitted a diagnosis 1990799554. hopefully I can get this figured out. Dropped my play 1 and now rattles horribly with any amount of bass, I guess I can hop on YouTube to try and take it apart to see what’s going on?

HiI am new to sonos and really enjoy my Sonos one. We are 4 people in the house and I'm the only one who installed and configured the Sonos app and One. When someone asks Google to play music from Spotify on the Sonos, which Google and Spotify accounts are in use? Mine? If I leave the house with my phone the music stops. So who owns the music? Who controls the device? Hope my question makes sense. Thanks
