I have an alarm set, target is master bedroom, and the setting includes everywhere.  The devices in master bedroom are an Era 100 stereo pair and a mini subwoofer.  Sometimes, when the alarm begins playing (SiriusXM), I respond with “hey Sonos pause”.  If the command is successful, the response is a single chime and the music stops.  With increasing frequency, the command fails.  The response is a thud sound and music continues.  If I reissue the command, I get a verbal response of “There’s nothing  playing right now” and the music continues.  I must say that the utterly b*******t response when the music is playing and continues to play is completely infuriating.Any ideas how to address this?Bill Frazier  Moderator Note: Modified in accordance with the Community Code of Conduct.

I have the sonos ack and when I try to hook my cell phone to it it wants me to resign in as the owner even though I'm signed in is there 2 types ways to sign in

I have a Sonos One and recently upgraded to a TP-Link_278 router. When I tap Update network in the Sonos app, it says Update the network settings for your products so they can connect to you wifi. Result is “unable to update these products, to add to network factory reset them. Tap continue and it says Unable to update, factory reset. I do that and get the green flashing light that the instructions call for, but when I then tap the Update network setting I get the same result (Unable to update). 

All of a sudden, on my last “update music library”  I get that an unexpected error occurred trying to import playlists.  The music that was recently added is there.  I have tried to read the various posts, but cannot figure out what I should actually do.  Never had this problem before, including when there used to be a problem with the new software finding the music on my Mac Studio.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi there,Our Amazon Firestick is controlling the Sonos Beam2 Soundbar and TV which is great but we cannot see the physical volume number when we adjust the volume.ie, cannot see a number such as 10, 11, 12 etc. line we do with our other TV’s with soundbars and Firestick connected. I feel like we have tried everything with no luck.Anyone else have this issue?

Every time I need to switch by arc (wired via ethernet)  and wireless connection to twp Play 3s from Music to the audio from a projector / appletv I have so many problems. Usually have to unplug all cables and power and reset.  any ideas?  I am running the earc signal through a Cable Matters extractor with earc.  

Hello Sonos Community,I’m writing out of frustration after spending countless hours trying to resolve persistent connectivity issues between my Android app and my Era 100 speaker. Despite following every troubleshooting step suggested by Sonos support—including factory resets, forgetting and re-adding networks, and more—the connection remains unreliable. The app connects to my Era 100 only about 1 out of every 10 attempts.Support repeatedly points to my use of WiFi extenders with the same SSID as the cause. However, I had the exact same problem before installing the extenders. To rule this out, I’ve even disabled the extenders entirely, but the issue persists. I have also: Ensured my phone and speaker are on the same WiFi network Tried different devices for setup Updated all firmware and apps Confirm that there is no VPN or firewalls Attempted setup near the main router Nothing has provided a lasting fix. Is it already on the list of future enhancements to allow the «volume limit» setting to be changed through the api? This is something I would really like to see….. 😀

Hi,I have 5 pairs of sonos in ceiling/wall speakers connected to 5 sonos amps. What would be best configuration to create a surround experience in a room? Happy to add one or two sonos gen 3 subs to the system and add one or two sonos fives if that helps achieving high quality 3D spatial audio. I would like to not add a soundbar if possible.Could I even use more than two pairs of in-ceiling/in-wall speakers in one room as a surround setup? I have read entries about 4.1 or 4.2 setups by using a pair of sonos in-walls as front left and right and another pair as surround left and right -- utilizing only two pairs in one room. If I can use more than two pairs, could I add 3 pairs as front left and right and 2 pairs as surround left and right? Is Sonos planning to support a richer surround configuration experience? Is their lack of support a product/marketing strategy to prioritize selling their sonos eras and soundbars or is there a technical challenge they are not able to pass with the cu

So, another one of my ROAM dies. Not the first Orange light I have had - gratefully replaced by Richer Sounds under extended guarantee. This one is not so lucky - it will be consigned to the recycling centre small electronics bin.My advice, for computers/desks: BUY WIRED! I’m fed up replacing these when used as a stereo pair. They dont last the test of time. Simple as that.

I have just returned to Sonos after a few years of no Sonos gear. I got 3 era 100s.  I remember that when running trueplay the tones were quite loud. But when tuning the era 100s the tones were quite quiet. I’ve done some playing around and I’ve realised that trueplay sets the volume of the tones to whatever volume the speaker was set to prior to activating trueplay. This is advanced trueplay with iPhone.  I am not altering the volume once trueplay starts. I thought trueplay defaults to a preset volume? Just in case someone asked here is a diagnostic ********* any ideas?  Moderator Note: Diagnostic recorded and removed. In my entertainment room for music listening only, I have across the length of the large room:One end - 1 x Era 300 + Sub miniOpposite end - 2x Era 300s + Sub Gen 3I used to have the 2 eras paired in stereo with the Sub Gen 3, but recently I’ve been playing around with the system.i unpaired all to run as individual units, then paired the sub mini with the one era 300 and on the other side I paired one era 300 with the Sub Gen 3.so technically I have 3 rooms grouped:era 300 + sub miniera 300 + sub Gen 3era 300NB. I have not run trueplay as yet.i noticed when playing the group, the Sub Gen 3 bass cuts out, but not the sub mini. If I turn the sub mini off, the sub Gen 3 kicks in in play.any idea why this happens?Thanks,V

My Sonos is saying Not Connected.  Support told me to factory reset, but I have a huge number of playlists.  I just can’t lose them. I restarted wi-fi, but no luck. What will happen if I connect the speaker to my router with an Ethernet cord?

Sonos will be working fine and then the app can’t find my speakers and prompts me to update my network. Which means I need to re-add my Sonos products. I set it up and a day or two later, same thing. It’s getting really time consuming and frustrating. Any suggestions?

I’ve connected Symfomisk satellite speakers to my Arc and the app shows them connected, but no sound is coming out. I’ve turned music onto full in the surround audio setting but still get nothing from the satellites.  I’ve removed them and reinstalled, this did do a software check/update, but not fixed.  things I’ve checked are the WiFi network and strength. Speakers are in the same room. White status lights are on the satellites. i did previously have the satellites connected to a Beam in the same room and they worked great!  help!!

Latest firmware and latest version of the Sonos app on Android.I still routinely have to stop and restart the app to get it to update it’s ‘now playing’ display.  While playing an imported playlist the speakers stop playing after random songs in the playlist.Unfortunately this is still an awful experience and I can’t get back to simply playing my music as it was before the ‘now not so new’ app was released.

Hello everyone,I've been experiencing an error on my system for a few weeks now. The error is called error 1.066. I don't know how to fix it. 

Trying to create a Sonos account fails saying check Internet connection 

i have a bat cave or den and have two fives  and a mini sub ....can u  add a sonos beam or ray by using the sonons 5 as tweeters...giving me two sonos 5s as tweeters a mini sub and a mini sub all integrated and not grouped is this possible 

I just got 3 era 100 speakers. Returning to Sonos after a few years away. I remember trueplay tones being quite loud on previous speakers.  But on the era 100s it’s pretty quiet. Then I noticed that whatever I set the volume to on the speakers before trueplay is what the tones would play at. That’s not normal right? I’m not touching the volume after initiating the trueplay process. It’s not same for both quick and advanced trueplay, quick is louder.   what is the volume setting equivalent for trueplay so that I can be sure it runs at the correct volume?  thanks 

HelloOne of my two SL1 speakers will not connect to my home network via WiFi.Things I have tried.Disconnect Speaker from power 2+ minutes. Disconnect speaker and router then power router back up and then speaker back up  Disconnected all my Sonos products in the room as it was the whole room setup w/multiple other Sonos products Step 2 again but with all Sonos products included in the set up  Also did all this based on the app T.S. Instructions  In the app I removed said speakers from current set up and then tried adding them back  oh and did all this multiple times as well  

Hi,my top question is on how do I add my Symfonisks (that I already added to my Sonos app) to the IKEA Home Smart app? I already forgot how I managed add the one I have there and can not find how to replicate my victory. I find that the IKEA app is way more responsive than the Sonos app for some reason and I hope to add another Symfonisk remote to Symfonisk in my other room.I also would love to know if there are any good resources that perhaps you used to migrate your system from Windows to Linux, I my ultimate goal would be to have my thin client to run Linux store all the FLACs I bought and use jellyfin for movies and stuff.Thanks for any tips :)

I have a sonos arc ultra in the living room of around 40 sqm. I would replace it with a Beam Gen 2 + Sub Mini + 2 x Era 100. Is that a good choice? I now use the arc ultra for TV & music streaming & vinyl via Sonos Port.
