We were away for about 3 weeks and, upon returning two of our speakers won’t work.  I can connect them to the ethernet cable and they will work, but they can’t seem to use wifi.  I do have the app on my phone which seems to be where I have to adjust the settings.  I keep my music library on a MacBook Pro, not all the music is downloaded onto my phone or iPad.  It would take too much space.

My WiFi is working as I’m streaming Netflix. yet my Sonos is not connecting to play music

I noticed that I use to have my volume set at a certain volume number and it was perfect for my listening preference, but now it seems I need to turnup the volume setting much much higher today???Also my bass is not pounding like it once use to unless I am turning uo the setting to like 8 setting. It was no where near that before. Something must have changed, what? Dannyo

Hi, I am running the Amp and Sub Mini with a pair of KEF Q150’s. Sounds really good but I’d like to try better speakers, namely better KEFS, LS50 Meta’s.Anyone running them please? I have searched and a couple of posts 5 years ago came up. Thanks.

Starting a few months ago, I can no longer play WPFW 89.3 (DC) on Sonos.  It plays in the TuneIn app, or on the station website, just fine, but when I try to play it through Sonos, I get a “Couldn't play content, try again” error.Every other station I try works fine on Sonos, and WPFW works fine via the web and via TuneIn -- just not in Sonos (although it did until a few months ago). This is my go-to weekend station, so I would appreciate if someone could help me solve the mystery!

I use Sonos Desktop Controller on Windows, with my large Music Library on the PC. If I turn off the Windows Defender Firewall for the Public Network, it works fine.  If I turn on the Firewall for Public Network the app does not find the Music Library. The Firewall settings for allowing apps to communicate through the Windows Defender Firewall for Sonos Desktop Controller is to allow on Private and Public networks. Changing my local network to Private or Public does not seem to change anything. So all is fine if the Windows Defender Firewall is Off for Public Networks.  This is not good.  I seek advice on how I can make this work safely.

Hello i just bought 2 Sonos era 100, I have seen numerous complaints regarding the case getting some cracks over time. I am still in the 30 day window for a return. Can anyone confirm if Sonos changed the way they are making the era 100 so the case does not peel ? what happens once the warrant expired and it starts peeling ? thank you

How do I control my Sonos froma remote location? My Sonos is set up on WiFi

As of today, Tidal Connect can no longer select my Sonos speakers. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Is there a solution?

Previously, I have been able to update my S1/S2 compatible products to work with the S2 app. Now none of these products will update. What is going on?

I see that you can play the entire library through Songs. Is there a way to exclude certain albums or songs? Christmas albums for example.

Good afternoon all,I’m after some help/advice please, to enable my 2 Sonos play 1 speakers to work wirelessly on my new wifi network. I’ve followed numerous help articles online, but without success, hence this post.Situation:I’ve recently introduced a new mesh wifi system to my home to increase WiFi coverage. (this has included introducing a new mesh hub, which is plugged into the existing router via an ethernet cable)Challenge:Despite numerous steps (see below), I have been unable to get by play speakers to work on the new network wirelessly. FYI the speakers will work when connected via ethernet cable to the new mesh hub, but this is not a viable solution moving forward.Steps taken so far (following advice in the app and help articles):Removed the 2 speakers from the app (so that no products show in the Sonos app when it re-loads) Factory re-set the speakers (however they do not display a green light when powered - instead the light goes solid white after flashing white and orange)

HiMy current system is listed below together the dates acquired.  I am considering adding, for example,  an ERA 100 or a Roam 2 and I'd like to understand if the new speakers would integrate with my existing configuration. Also, would I need to use the S2 app for the new speaker(s) and would the items below be compatible?Bridge 06/2012Connect 06/20123 x Play 1 02/2014Play bar 09/2014Sub (Gen 2) 10/2016ThanksBryan

the sonos ray works fine but every few days the white light blinking and I am not able to do factory reset

Hi all,I have a friend who would like to install a Sonos Amp and connect it to two ceiling speakers. They have already purchased an EPSON tw7100 projector. They wish to use a laptop to watch Netflix etc on the projector. My question is, how would all this be connected up to get the picture from laptop and audio from Sonos system?Any and all help would be greatly appreciated Matt

So I have a 3 speaker system in my restaurant, all Play 1s. The speaker nearest to the router is wired the other two are connected by SonosNet and are 5m and 10m away from the wired speaker with line of sight. All speakers mounted at ceiling height approximately 2.5m.The system works fine when it’s not so busy but in the evening the wireless speakers cut out once we get probably more than 15 people in the restaurant and I am left with only the wired speaker playing. I have tried so many things and it’s driving me insane. The router is a BT Smart Hub 2.  What I have tried so far :Raising the router to ceiling heightDisabling the 5Ghz bandDisabling guest wifiTried all 3 modes on the routerFactory reset my speakers and reset the systemRebooted the routerDeleting and reinstalling the appSwapping speakers around It would be a pain to wire all the speakers but that will be my final thing to do if all else fails. Are my speakers outdated and would newer ones solve the problem or is it totally

Are there any updates about how to get a Samsung solar remote to control the volume of a Playbar?  I see from extensive searching that pairing a Samsung remote with a Playbar has been a problem for a long time.  My TV is a Samsung QN75Q7FAAFXZA  if that makes a difference.  it runs eARC and doesn’t have an optical output so I’m using a converter to connect the TV to the Playbar.  This setup worked when I was using a Xumo remote and Xumo box.  I eliminated the box because it isn’t needed to run the TV.

I’m honestly stunned we’re still having this conversation in 2025. People here have dropped over $3,000 on Sonos gear, and yet we still don’t have a proper in-app EQ that lets us actually personalize our sound. No parametric EQ, no real control, nothing beyond the same basic sliders we’ve had for years. And let’s be clear: the kind of customers who buy Sonos aren’t casual listeners. We care about accuracy, detail, tuning. We bought into the ecosystem because we expected a company that takes audio seriously. But the total absence of a real equalizer shows the opposite a lack of seriousness, a lack of respect for your most loyal customers.Honestly, this is reflected in the stock price too. You can see the loss of confidence right there on the market. And you feel it here, every time someone brings up a legitimate criticism. The moment you don’t shower Sonos with praise, there’s suddenly an army of “regular users” swarming you, shutting down the conversation, acting like insiders hiding be

My wife and I have separate Sonos and separate Qobuz (Duo) accounts. I have linked the relevant Sonos and Qobuz accounts on different mobile phones. We can send music to the Sonos speakers as would be expected, but my wife continues to see and add to my Qobuz music, playlists, etc and is unable to make her own separate music lists. We are also unable to play different music on different speakers (which is a pain if one of us is watching TV through the Arc). Is there a solution to this?

Why does Sonos have a maximum of 32 Sonos devises in one home? Is there a not so cumbersome work around?

I am looking at purchasing a 83-85” tv. I currently have a samsung QN85Q70TAFXZA 4k Smart (2023). I have had a lot of problems with it switching tv speakers randomly. I have eventually got it to work semi consistently. From what I can gather LG and sony tv’s tend to have the least issues when working with the sonos arc. I am wondering if there are any particular LG models or series that considered “problem free” when it comes to working with sonos arc?

I have spent an hour and a half trying to reconnect my Play 5 gen 2 to my system. I use the s1 app and I used to be able to group my Play 5 gen 1 and gen 2 together. I can only connect the Play 5 gen as ‘living room’. My Play 5 gen 2 shows as ‘bedroom two’ only for the upgrade offer.  I spent an eternity trying to login I changed my pw 5 times none were accepted. I got cut off from the help line 4 times but someone did finally manage to make my pw work finally before I got cut off. I did every reset that I could sometimes more than once . They kept asking for my phone number but didn’t use it so what was the point? I gave up in the end it’s still not working, it used to so I can only think it is the new s 1 app that upgraded whilst I was being forced to repeatedly login! I don’t like complaining and I love the sound of the speakers when they are working so it is very depressing that a simple thing that worked before will no longer work.

Hi, is it possible to use my setup (2x Era 100, 2x Era 300 and 1x sub mini) for surround? I would use the era 300 as rear speakers and the era 100 in the front. Does that work out?
