Hello i just bought 2 Sonos era 100, I have seen numerous complaints regarding the case getting some cracks over time. I am still in the 30 day window for a return. Can anyone confirm if Sonos changed the way they are making the era 100 so the case does not peel ?
what happens once the warrant expired and it starts peeling ?
thank you

I’ve got a white Sonos One (no longer made in favor of the Era 100) and a white Arc. I’ve never had any issues with either of them, so I’ve not tested your assertion of ‘numerous’ complaints and resolutions. Given the number sold (assumed), I suspect the vast majority haven’t commented on ‘things are normal’

YMMV.

You should call Sonos Support and get an official answer on the return policy for cracks.

Note your support case number just in case you need it later.

From what I’ve seen, Sonos hasn’t officially changed the Era 100 casing, so cracking or peeling can still happen over time. Within the 30-day return window, it’s safest to request a replacement if you notice any damage. After the warranty expires, Sonos typically won’t cover cosmetic wear, so regular handling and avoiding harsh cleaning can help minimize peeling.
