When I open the Sonos S2 controller on ios (latest version, on iPhone16), it takes over a minute to find the speakers on my system. Quite often it then says it can’t connect when I attempt to select a different speaker. This problem started after the latest update to the controller app. It is not a network problem. If I open the controller on my Macbook, the speakers appear immediately and can be controlled as expected. Looks like this might be another example of Sonos breaking the app. Very frustrating. Has anyone else encountered this problem, and found a solution?

Hi.  I know I can’t use a bluetooth cd player with the 4 Play:1 speakers that I have, but if I bought a Roam 2, could I group that with the 4 Play:1 speakers, and when the CD player is connected to the Roam 2 via Bluetooth, would it all play through the old Play:1 speakers too, as well as the new Roam 2?    (If so (out of interest!), 2 of the Play:1s are a stereo pair, would they still be a stereo pair or would they just all be a group playing the same thing?) It would be great to have our old CDs playing through the Sonos system. this way if it works! 

Parametric eq is essentiel for an high end headphones in the market and would let a lot more choice for customers....Ldac support would be a great choice since aptx lossless is supported by 10 devices in the whole world, whereas ldac is a lot more common....

Ive tried multiple times but its not working. Every time i try to reauthorize it redirects me to Apple Music to sign in and after it redirects me back to sonos app to reauthorize again. I tried deleting apple music from sonos and reconnecting, also tried turning off my sonos product and checked for updates. Now im all out ideas and seem to figure it out, any suggestions?

My cat keeps stepping on the buttons at night and accidentally turning the speaker on. I know someone who covered the buttons with a plastic cap to stop it, but that looks clunky and isn’t really practical. It would be great if there were a true “off” option or a way to lock the controls when I don’t need them.

For reference - I have an original soundbar and sub (Gen2)I now have a turntable without a pre amp and advised to get a Gen1 connect (the white case one). i have noticed that there appears to be 2 models with the top button being different. One has a play/pause symbol and the other a mute speaker symbol. Is the a spec difference? If so whats the one i need?As a side issue should i only have the Sonos1 app to save any confusion? Thanks in AdvanceChris

Hi, I have two speakers: a Play:1 (wired to my router) and a Symfonisk Bookshelf (wireless). Both are on the same Sonos system and I can group them manually, but I want them to always play together by default, whether I start music from the Sonos app or the Spotify app on iPhone. I’ve tried looking for the “Group on Autoplay” or “Group with…” options in Settings, but I can’t find them in the current Sonos app. Can someone explain the exact steps in the latest app to make grouping persistent, or confirm if this feature has changed/been removed? Thanks!

Same or similar issue has been raised before but I could not find a solution that worked for me.I want to play tunes I have stored in My Library through my Sonos system.I subscribed to Apple Music (though all these tunes are downloaded from CDs I purchased), I added Apple Music to my Sonos list of music and content.I now see that some tracks (a lot) are greyed out and not playable through Sonos. They are playable through Apple Music.I do this through an iPhone.I was trying to resynch/reindex (?) Apple Music to Sonos as I recall having to do it when I first set it up but I cannot remember where to do that (if even this would help).I saw some info about Apple Music needing to recognize my tracks (if they don't have it in their catalog, then that might explain why it’s greyed out) but these are the tracks I am looking to play, these are “mine” if you will.Many thanks in advance

My old Sonos play 3 won’t connect to my WiFi anymore without a intranet cable, they work once connected but when I unplug they stop working, any advice?

I have two new Roam2 speakers that I would like to connect to my outdoor tv.  I have an existing system that I use inside with playbar, sub woofer, surround sound, and ceiling speakers.   I'm struggling on how to add the new speakers to the outside system.  If I use bluetooth, only one speaker can be connected at a time

Asking for my college-age son who has my hand me down Arc and a relatively low end Bluetooth turntable. I don’t think musical fidelity is the goal here, rather merely making the connection. My understanding is the least expensive option is to get a Roam speaker, which can connect via Bluetooth. What I haven’t been able to determine is if it is possible to connect the Roam (or ERA 100, 300, Move) to the Arc so that audio is playing from the Arc. Thanks in advance. 

Hi, My playbar seems to have developed an issue with decoding audio coming in over the optical connection. Not constant, develops after about 30s of working fine, then stutters for 2-5 seconds every minute or so.  so far I’ve tried:changing all output settings from pass through/pcm.changed input settings through all of the options.have tested each possible combo of input/output.Swapped optical cableschanged to an external ARC to Optical converterremoved surrounds (they weren’t stuttering as it was only playing 2.0 audio, it’s all on the playbar, but others had suggested it as a fix) All of the above still resulted in regular stuttering. It reduced if I used PCM but did not disappear. I have tested the optical out with an old digital/analog decoder and had no problems, I have also plugged the arc into my Sonos amp and have no stuttering with that (that was previously plugged into the external arc/optical converter to verify that audio was clean)everything I’ve done points to an issue wi

hi guys i have just bought x2 Sonos roam 2 speakers what other portable Bluetooth speaker would you suggest buying to complement the roam 2 speakers i was thinking the move 2 ? Im very new to the Sonos world thanks in advance 

This is a strange one and I haven't found anything about it online. I have several speakers/zones in my house. They work fine as groups or independently with every Sonos service except Amazon Music.For some reason, Amazon Music only plays out of 2 of my speakers, which are part of a zone that has 3. And all speakers indicate that they are playing but only a specific 2 emit any sound. The 2 speakers they play from are a Playbar and some in ceiling speakers via connect amp. It's my only Playbar but I do have other speakers using connect amps. So it doesn't seem to be a device specific issue.Bizarre stuff. Anyone heard of anything like this?

So I connected a audio technica atlp 120-usb turntable to an existing group that consists of 2 sonos fives and a sub 3. The connection used was line in to the right five. It works. Almost. I get great sound from the left five and the sub but not the connected right five. Weird…Can any of you kind folks shed light on this and how to get pair of fives to work together?Thanks

I am using the current Sonos app (Controller for Mac OS S2 Version 17.2) on a 2020 iMac running MacOS Sequoia 15.6.1. I have an Arris Model NVG578HLX router connected to a TP-Link TL-SG105 Ethernet switch. I have a Sonos Five connected to the switch via Ethernet cable. The Five (left) is paired with a second Five (right) and a Sonos Sub. I have five Sonos One SLs in various rooms. All speakers are showing they are in Wireless Mode 0 (SonosNet). I am having a problem with the speakers cutting out randomly, even if I just am playing music through 2 or 3 speakers instead of the whole system. This was happening when they were on Wi-Fi, before I connected the Five to the switch. I thought changing from Wi-Fi to SonosNet would resolve the issue but it has not. Note: the Sonos app and each speaker’s firmware is up to date. When I play Sonos Radio, all speakers play as expected. The issue appears when I am playing Apple Music, specifically my personal library mirrored in Apple Music via iTunes

What do I do when my Sonos speakers suddenly keep cutting in and out?

Hi, new to Sonos Home Theater and Home Theater in General.I am building a house where the 65” television will be in a space that is 20’ wide by about 20’ deep with a 15’ flat ceiling.  The rear of the space opposite the television is the kitchen so the actual room is much deeper.  The furniture used for television watching (sofa and chairs) will be arranged in a U shape approximately 15’ x 15’ to rear of sofa’s and chairs within the larger living area space.  The floor will be tile with throw rugs.  There is a large glass sliding door on one of the side walls.  My question is whether the Sonos Arc Ultra Home Theater setup will work well within such a larger volume.  Will there be undesirable echo’s, will the 15’ ceilings be a problem?  With the planned furniture layout the rear speakers will have to be place in the rear corners of living area space, or about 20 feet to rear and off to the side of the television on cabinets or small table. Will this be a problem?We have a Roku televisio

Just purchased a Sonos Ray and got it in mail today and went to setup and it’s giving no indication that it is powered. No light, sound, and not showing up on the app. How do I fix this issue or is it defective.

Greetings from Rome, Italy :-)I have a question for the experts, because surfing the internet I've always found conflicting answers.On the right wall, I have a door with a glass panel in the center, so I'd like to eliminate the problem...As you all know, our Sonos systems "reflect" the side channels of audio and the Atmos effects onto the walls.For this reason, I've always thought that curtains weren't a good idea, because they would absorb these reflections, ruining the audio experience.But obviously, a surface like glass isn't a good one either...On the internet, I've found confirmation that glass isn't good, and they recommend "closing the curtains." But that seems contradictory to me! Or am I wrong? Absorbent curtains shouldn't be good for Sonos audio, since they could then affect the side reflections...Can any experts clarify this for me?And then, more importantly, how do I solve the door glass problem? Hi all.I’ve been trying all morning to get this set up, and I have failed. I’m normally pretty good with tech, but I cannot get this to work in the way I want.I have:Beam Gen 2 Play:1 x 2 as satellites. Connect Audio-technica turntable (with line out)The turntable and connect are a birthday gift for my wife. She loves vinyl. She hates tech. I need a way that she can just hit start on the turntable, and magically music will come out of the speakers.Currently the beam and play:1 are connected to the TV as a surround system. I tried grouping the connect and beam etc as a separate group called “record player” and set it to auto play, but it doesn’t appear to have worked. I still have to go to system, and link the 2 when I play a record.Any tips on the best way to set this up?Thanks
