I have a Sony Bravia TV with a soundbar.  The soundbar’s not brilliant.  Would it help to get a couple of Sonos speakers to use as surround sound?  And how would I connect them?  I already own a Sonos Play 1.  Can I play my telly through that?

You can't add Sonos as surrounds unless you have a TV connected Sonos front speaker of some type.

Look at, from lowest capability to highest, a Ray, Beam or Arc.

I haven't heard the Ray but I have the other two and they far outshine the TV speakers.

Add 100s or 300s as surrounds and maybe a Sub, depending on how good you want it to sound.
