Hello, I haven’t had any issues with PS5 or the Nintendo Switch 1. Both will reproduce well the 5.1 system that I have (Sonos Arc+2xSonos One SL + Sub (gen4th)). But the Nintendo Switch 2 is unable to reproduce 5.1, it says it can’t detect the PCM 5.1. I haven’t don’t anything different than the other consoles that I have. What can I Do?

Hi.My current setup is now BEAM, a pair of ONE as front surrounds and have just added a pair of ONE into the ceiling as stereo pair as rear speakers.Issue I have now is that when I use the app to control the volume I have set the balance to 60% at the front and 40% to the rear and when I use the sliders they all move proportionally. When I use the TV remove it only changes the volume at the front and the rear speaker volume on the sliders stay the same.Also, the LH and RH rear speakers on the sliders are slight different and I cannot line them up to be the same. I have counteracted this by putting more balance to the right but should not have to.Appreciate any assistance.j_ace7

Must i change the network on all my sonos products individually?  I upgraded to netgear ORBY Wifi 7.  Which is now a new network.  I am hoping to easily change all my sonos products at one time to the new ORBI network. 

Hi.i have 2 play 5's gen 2 with an ark and sub gen 2. i want to purchase the sub gen 4. Is the sub compatible with the play 5's gen 2 ?

I have an approximately 8-year-old Sonos Amp - CONNECT AMP.  We turned it on and it failed to work - no sound from the speakers.  The unit was working fine when we turned it off.  There have been no changes to the system since we used it last.  The light on the front of the unit, which was formally green, is now white/light pink in color.  I have a second Sonos Amp (same model) located directly below it that still works fine and the light is green.  Any ideas on how to fix the non-working amp?  Thank you.

I am still running my old Sonos system with the S1 controller v 11.15.4. Have recently been given an old play 5, but cannot add it to the system because the add product is greyed out. Keeps asking me to update, but obviously my system wouldn’t work with an S2 controller. Have reset the play 5, have plugged it directly into the router, but no joy. Is there any workround I can use?

I'm still using my dear, dear Playbar with two play:3's and a Sub gen3.Om my old TV, I had to use an Nvidia Shield to get surround sound on most streaming apps, at the expense of all kinds of sync issues. A few months ago it died and I upgraded my TV (Sony).Fortunately most native streaming apps on the new TV (HBO, Netflix and Disney+) are streaming in glorious 5.1. However, I just found out Amazon Prime Video is stuck on Dolby 2.0. All the movies I purchased digitally on Amazon refuse to output surround.I know the Playbar is ancient by now, and I fear the optical connection is the issue? But since other streaming apps do work on 5.1, I don't understand why Prime Video isn't? Any information is appreciated!I really dread having to upgrade my soundbar to eArc. Because I'm not sure if it would solve anything, but mostly because it would require new surround speakers as well (the Ultra is not compatible with the Play:3's).

This system is great when it works, but only when it works.  About 40% of the time it says that it is having issues with connecting to the speakers, the port, the server, or to the streaming service.  I know it’s not the internet connection, I work from home and it always works fine for me, wife streams TV, etc.  It’s never a problem except for with this product.   I’m still (mostly) able to airdrop music to the sonos products if it has elected to be awful that day, but it fights internally with which music it’s trying to play, what the volume is set at, whether the app lets me actually control that music, etc.  Really rage inducing stuff here.  Usually after a couple of hours of this circus, it decides that yes, the network is fine, and yes, we can play music today.  At this point when it starts being awful, I just switch to vinyl because I know that actually works, and then the app seems to be just fine the next day. I know there were some app-related issues that happened in 2024, I

Looking to purchase and install GARDEN SERIES SGS 8.1 OUTDOOR SYSTEM (8 - SATS, 1 - SUB).  I see that these systems include an optional SOnance Amp.  Would I need to purchase the Sonance Amp as well as the SONOS Amp, or will it work well connecting direct to the Sonos amp

Hi all – hoping someone here can help!I recently bought a Sonos Move 2 and am trying to connect it to my Orbit Plus Turntable with built-in preamp using the Sonos Line-In Adapter (USB-C to 3.5mm). When I plug in both RCA cables from the turntable, the sound quality is terrible—very muffled or distorted. Strangely, if I only plug in one RCA cable, the sound is much clearer—but then I'm only getting mono audio.I love the portability and sound of the Move 2 and really want to use it for listening to records. Has anyone run into this or found a solution? Could this be a limitation of the Move 2’s line-in adapter? I'm even considering picking up a Sonos Era to test if it handles the signal better.Any suggestions, fixes, or alternate setup ideas would be greatly appreciated!Thanks in advance

I had everything working on the app but must have changed a setting. Now the satellite speaker is showing at the top of the list and the Beam gen 2 is showing below. Both will no longer play content - any help?

i know i need 2 of the ones for surround..just want to connect 1 additional speaker for additional sound...i know i can select them both in app...but i want to turn on the tv and the power and the volume work both together ..

I have S1 controlled system, because of a ZP100 that I have, and several Sonos Ones. We want better streaming alternatives and I started to move to the S2 controller, but I can’t add the Sonos One. It wants to update the software but also attach to the Sonos One private network, which doesn’t have access to the internet to download the software and fails.Sequence of events:Place Sonos One in pairing with blinking light. S2 app sees the Sonos One and starts to add it. Allow microphone and location access S2 indicated, “...let’s connect your mobile device to you Sonos One’s temporary network...”  Connect to temporary network S2 app says there is an update available Click Update, S2 app goes to screen indicating that it is restarting the Sonos One. Sonos One does not restart or do anything except having the blinking green light. S2 app times out and goes back to step 2.I guess a couple questions are:Can it get to the software update while the Sonos One is on the temporary network? Should

Received a Sonos 1 from my brother as a birthday gift in April.I left it as I was tempted to sell it since I really don't use portable speakers when I use my Sony XM5 cans instead.Yesterday I said screw it and decided to open it and try it out but I cannot get this thing to connect!I put it on the base ring & the bottom LED on the speaker pulses orange for a short while then goes to a fast red LED pulse.I left it overnight thinking maybe it was a low battery issue but it was doing the same thing this morning.So I plugged it into a 45w USB C to charge for a while then back to the ring, same thing.My app does not see it and when I put the speaker on the ring while holding the infinity button to do a hard reset the white light on top just stays at a slow pulsing white, no white/orange alternating.Is this thing DOA out of the box? If so I think I might be done with SONOS...I have 8 SONOS speakers in the home but with the issues with the app and now this, come on.Anyone have any suggest

I have a Play 1,3 & 5 (1st gen) They havent been used for a while so I thought I would set them back up.  I made an error thinking the 5 needed to be downgraded when in fact it was the 1 & 3. The online chat got me through this and now all three work in the same room. I tried to connect back to Amazon Music and Alexa. It lets me go through the initial screens via Services & Voice, but when I press 'Authorize' I can see the button react with the grey background on the button coming up but nothing else happens. I can add Sonos radio channels without problem.Can anyone please help?It would appear it won't connect to any external services at all

First time adding my 2- play1 to my surround sound (playbar). They will add to the surround sound but they drop off my WiFi. When they are not added to surround they work great on the wifi. Thanks

I have a Sonos One and 2 old Sonos Play.The Sonos One is linked to Alexa with all relevant skills enabled.Apple music is logged in.Amazon Echo device in the kitchen will play Apple Music songs on voice command.Tthe Sonos one will play apple music from the Sonos app if I select it via the UI, but if I say “Alexa play music” - it says “Ok - here’s Apple Music” but nothing plays.  Same happens if I specify an artist or track.  It responds to other commands like “What is the time” or whatever no problem.I have tried all the obvious like rebooting everything, disable and reenable skills and settings in both Sonos and Alexa.One thing I noticed is that in the Alexa app on my phone, under the “Music and Podcasts” settings, the skills for Apple Music are listed under “Family” but if I click on my own name, the Apple music skill is shown as the default, but there is an orange/yellos triangle with an exclamation point to the levt of the “Your default services” - this excamation point doesn’t appe

I have an up to date Sonos system that is comprised of 2 Sonos One and 2 Sono One SL speakers.  I have an MP3 library on a networked Windows 10 laptop that uses MyMedia v.1.3.148.998 and the Alexa Mymedia skill enabled.  When I ask Alexa to tell my media to play any artist, the first song in the library plays and then repeats endlessly. If I say Alexa, “next” the next song plays and then repeats.If I try the same thing on my Amazon Echo devices, it works as intended, one song plays and then the next and the next.   Any help would be appreciated.

So i think there was an update this Monday 21/7-2025 which broke my very old connect:amp.I have an old bridge, old connect:amp and a newish Port as my network.On monday i find out that the network is dead. I remove the bridge as apparently i dont need that anymore, and connect the port and the connect:amp via ethernet cable instead.If i only have the Port connected, it works. If i add the connect:amp nothing works.I had been having internet issues since Monday too, so i downloaded a ping test program, and my internet kept dropping.If i turn off the connect:amp suddenly there is no issue with the internet.My conclusion: the connect:amp was stealing A LOT of bandwidth.Any help on this issue?

Recently purchased home, installing our existing speakers. Looking to mount Era 300s in the corners (Red circles). Ideally, I would like to mount in the corners of the wall. Do these speakers to angle downward towards couch, or can a level corner mount work? Considering optimal sound, what is the most suggested mounting route with this layout? Pairing with ARC and two subs.I'm hesitant to mount on the flat wall under crosswalk for power access reasons. Wife doesn't approve floor stands behind couch.**I will be installing elevated power outlets to hide visible power wires. 

My Sonos Move 2 that I recently bought, is not playing music via Airplay when used in Roon or when used in Airfoil. All my other speakers (Naim, Sennheiser Amber) are without issues. Is related to Move 2 firmware I suspect.
