How do I check my Roam 2 battery level when not connected to a network and only using Bluetooth? Thanks in advance

I understand that you can ask the Sonos voice assistant for the device battery level... “Hey Sonos, what’s the battery level?”

Perhaps see if that works for you.

Yes, I think it’s the only way, because the app doesn’t work out of the home’s WiFi.

Easy: can it play music? It’s charged. Can it not play music? It needs charging.

But seriously, you would think that the Bluetooth standard would have included a battery level in it that all audio devices could use, but you would be wrong. I have this exact problem with my headphones - no idea how charged they are. Unlike my Roams/Moves there isn’t a wifi option that will let me figure this out.

Every other bluetooth speaker I’ve ever encountered will show the battery level in Settings > Bluetooth (iOS). The old SONOS app used to show the battery level when connected via bluetooth. This is a glaring missing feature and has been for a WHILE!

I’ve never used the old app with a portable device, but are you sure you could do this on the old app? It seems like a hardware feature to me.

I am 100% positive you could do it on the old app. So definitely not a hardware thing.
