*Why did I lose more than half of my speakers?

This is just too bad, more than half of my speakers has suddenly lost connection.

Looking at which speakers that are missing I am starting to suspect that the speakers that only support older wifi standards for some reason has lost connection.

Sadly I cannot correct the ”subject” of this post when on my mobile phone.

So, not correcting the subject/topic is a long time complaint, unfortunately, Gainsight, who owns the forum software has chosen not to do anything about it yet. It’s unknown if they plan to, or are just ignoring the input Sonos feeds back to them.

On your missing speakers, what makes you suggest ‘older WiFi standards’?

As a start, I’d try a simple network refresh, although given the number of speakers you have, ‘simple’ may not be the appropriate adjective. In any case, I’d power off all of your Sonos devices (unplug them, power down completely the Move) and then reboot your router. Give the router a couple of minutes before you start plugging back in your Sonos devices. I suspect they’ll all show up again as connected, and I’d then check in the Sonos controller for any updates. Both speaker updates, and controller updates should show up, if there are any available. Go ahead and apply them, and I suspect you’ll be good to go.

However, if devices are still not showing up, I’d call Sonos Support to discuss it.

When you speak directly to the Support staff, they have tools at their disposal that will allow them to give you advice specific to your network and Sonos system.

If the network refresh works, but it happens again, you could try setting static/reserved addresses for your Sonos from your router's DHCP Settings page.

Once done do another refresh to pick up and lock in the new addresses.
