Hello Sonos Support,I am experiencing a persistent issue with a Sonos One where onboard voice assistants no longer treat the speaker as the local playback device.The speaker can play music when it is explicitly named, for example:“Play [music/radio] on Living Room”However, when speaking directly to the Sonos One and saying:“Play [music/radio]”the command does not play locally unless I include the speaker name.This previously worked normally. I could speak to the Sonos One and simply say “play [music/radio]” and it would play on that same speaker.The issue affects both Google Assistant and Alexa, so it does not appear to be isolated to one assistant provider.Current behaviour:The Sonos One responds to voice commands. Hi, Today Sonos windows controller  indicated that an update was available. I tried to run it, but Smart App Control intercepted and blocked the update from completing. Message was that the publisher could not be verified. Help please.

I got to the part of the procedure that says “press the button on play:5 with the flashing light.”Do I press and hold or just press and release? And it doesn’t really feel like a button. It’s just the flashing light on top of the speaker. If I press on it I get a little tone (I think) and then I release. Should it change color? Nothing happens after that and then I get a message that say “We didn’t detect a button press” 

Sonos app is working fine on iOS devices but not on MACOs. Have tried everything recommended by Claude for over an hour. Nothing seems to work.  Keep getting error message about a firewall issue. Claude think it’s a bug with Sonos and Apple not playing nice with Local Network connection networking issues.

I own roughly $2,800 worth of current-generation Sonos hardware:- 9 × Sonos One SL- 1 × Sonos Sub- 1 × Sonos Play:3 All on the same LAN as a self-hosted music server (Navidrome, whichspeaks the Subsonic API). Hi everyone,I’m experiencing an annoying rattling noise with my Sonos Sub Gen 2. The issue happens mostly during movies, especially in low frequency scenes with deep bass. It is less noticeable with music, but still present at times.What I’ve already tried: Factory reset Trueplay tuning multiple times Moving the Sub to different locations in the room Switching connection from WiFi to Ethernet (currently wired) The rattling still occurs regardless of placement or connection method.Has anyone experienced something similar with a Gen 2? Did it turn out to be a hardware issue or was there a specific fix?

My gen1 Roam has become unresponsive. None of the buttons on top respond and the on/off button is also unresponsive and no lights come on. It is kept on the Sonos base charger when not in use (the charger plug supplies 5v, but I can’t tell if the base pad is working). If I plug a charging cable in the rear socket I get a red light at the bottom but none of the buttons respond. If it wasn’t nailed to the perch would it have fallen off?

Is it possible to run the Beam Gen 2 directly from a TV that supports digital audio?  I’ve installed in a location that does not have Wi-Fi.

We have recently purchased a beam and 2 era speakers. we want the flexibility to play music independently from the 2x era speakers from our phone but we also want to have the beam and era speakers grouped to our TV. Is this possible to have 2 independent Sonos room/systems? thanks 

Subject line says it all.  I have an OLD system: ZP80 and ZP100, on the S1 app.  I’m a super early adopter, on a super low budget.  I can get a Play:1 (used, obviously) for a good price.  My concern is that because the Play:1 seems to be compatible with both S1 and S2, adding to my otherwise purely-S1 system will break it.  Any feedback is appreciated!

Hi, for the last 3 weeks or so Sonos is constantly dropping out and losing connection. Sometimes it skips through tracks, other times it just stops playing. I also can not connect to Sonos speakers via the Spotify app. This all worked before and we haven’t changed our internet setup. Is anyone else having this problem? What can I do to fix it? 

Hi, I’m getting. 1008 error when setting up Era 300. I’ve had the speakers for 6m without many issues. One of the speakers dropped last week & I cannot get to register. Keep getting a 1008 error. WiFi is via Netgear Nighthawk mesh system. If I connect direct to the router then I don’t get any issues but the router won’t extend to cover the house. I’ve been escalated to level 3 at Sonos but wondered if anyone had any ideas. I’ve reset speakers, router and tried to set up direct with router then move to Netgear but speakers aren’t moving. Help 

I have two play 1 speakers and I want to be able to stream YouTube to them by adding a speaker with airplay 2. What would be the most cost effective option? Thanks

The television is Samsung 85” model U8000F. Unfortunately for me the tv does not have a dedicated optical audio output for a cable connection to the play bar, so to overcome this obstacle I acquired a device called the Insignia audio extractor (links below)  in order to connect the play bar to the tv. The Tv does have ARC/EARC in one of the HDMI ports as well, but the extractor only supports EARC I believe. After I got everything set up I experienced difficulty with streaming content not loading/not working/strange error messages. I thought it was a Disney plus issue at first, but that wasn’t the only service

I just received a push notification on my iPhone suggesting I check out the “Hit List” on Sonos Radio.That’s odd… I’m pretty sure I had turned marketing notifications off: Does Sonos no longer honor this preference?Sonos has generally been good in the past about honoring this preference and not abusing its notification access. I’m hoping this is just a one-time oversight that will be quickly fixed.

Where can I purchase a replacement hanging strap for white Sonos Play? Also, any upcoming mounting accessories in the works?    

My old Playbar isn’t recognizing the remote on my new Hisense Model: 55QD7QF.  It worked fine with the LG tv remote that I just replaced.  I tried changing remotes with the S1 app to no avail.  Any suggestions are much appreciated.  Thanks for your time.

I’m unable to get my new Sonos sub 4 to connect to my new arc ultra. Have followed instructions, done heaps of factory resets. I can see it in the app, but just get a slow green flashing light or an orange light. Spent hours this afternoon trying to get it to work. Tried the help chat bot but it keeps going around in circles. Can’t find anything on line, most keep saying how easy it is. Do I take it back to my place of purchase and ask for a new one? 

I have a Beam 1 with a sub mini and two Play 1s set up s surrounds. I am replacing the Beam with an Arc. Do I need to remove the surround set-up before doing so?

I have a Sonas Arc Ultra Soundbar connected to a Sony - 65" Class BRAVIA 2 II LED 4K Tv.Bottom Line Up Front:  Volume Dialogue Fluctuates Between Cable Box and Streaming Apps BADLY.  I’m having trouble with the sound as it relates to the cable box (and certain shows on steaming apps).  When watching a game (NBA) for example (cable box), it sounds like the announcers are talking out of a tin can with barely any dialogue volume. However, when I watched a movie on a streaming app, it sounds better than a movie theater!Not sure what I’m doing wrong, but I’d like consistency. Can anyone help?
