Hello, I currently have a Mac Mini M2 Pro with a couple of Sonos One connected wireless via AirPlay.The system sounds perfect when I listen to music, but when I play videos on the Mac the sound is not in sync, that’s a known issue.I was wondering if adding a Sonos Ray to the system would fix the problem. Since the Mac Mini has no optical output, I would use the HDMI output connected to an audio extractor, and then an optical cable from the extractor to the Ray.Would it work?And then, would it make sense to group the two Ones with the Ray to create a “surround” system? Though I would not place the Ones in the back, but it would keep them on the desk, where they are now, so I guess such a system would sound more like enhanced stereo than real surround, but that would be ok with me. I will mostly listen to music through that system, but I just can’t stand the delay I have now when playing movies.And one more question: if I connect the system through optical cable as described above, could

After the latest Sonos updates, I’ve been unable to select any of my imported playlists on my Sonos system import from my Mac.  I’ve installed all software updates, both OS and Sonos, on my Mac and all of my devices.  I can play Mac playlists on my Sonos that were selected before the updates, but I can’t select any new playlists for playback on my Sonos system (which makes it even stranger)….   The system will allow me to select songs, artists and albums, but not play lists.

Good day, I have noticed significant "sibilant" or "hissing” sounds on Beam Gen2 when listening to BBC Radio 4 (spoken word). Therefore, the speakers were returned.Which other Sonos products do not have a similar issue? Thanks!

Hi there,Just gave a friend of mine a brand new Sonos Move that I’ve had in its box for these last few years and as she has an Amazon Prime subscription I setup Amazon along with Absolute Radio and Global Player to get her started!Not content (see what I did there) with that she wanted to know if I could attach my own music library which consists of 12,500 songs ripped from my CD collection so first of all I thought no problem as her EE SH35A router has a USB port along with 4 RJ45 ports.So I plugged in a 64GB USB drive that is my library backup as proof of concept but when I go into her router admin pages I see no mention of USB or file sharing.A little bit of research seems to indicate the USB port on this particular router provided power only which seems very short-sighted to me as all of the routers I have used over the years that had a USB port could be used for file sharing.So Plan B is to attach a NAS of some sort but I would like to ask if anybody has any recommendations for a

Hi team,I have a Beam Gen 2 connected to my TV via eArc and two Era 300s connected wirelessly as surrounds. The only voice assistant I have enabled is Alexa. Over the last few days I am noticing a problem where every time I use Alexa the Sonos app will show that one of my Eras has disconnected. Originally I had Alexa enabled on my right surround, and the right surround would keep disconnecting. I deregistered Alexa from my Sonos group and added it back, this time on the Beam. Now when I use Alexa the left surround is disconnecting. I don't know that I'm hearing any actual audio loss, but the app says it's disconnected and neither of my surrounds light up green when muted like they normally do. Every time it happens I have to get up to unplug and replug the disconnected surround. Has anyone noticed anything similar? Any suggestions on what I can do? I just submitted a diagnostic through the app maybe 5 minutes after the most recent occurrence.

Bit of a weird one, setup is 8 Play:3, roam & one amp everything was fine, now when I play our playlists from SoundCloud all the play3 speakers are fine, but nothing comes from the amp… tried removing the amp and reading to system, removed and reauth SoundCloud more times than I can remember. Any ideas?

The Issue We're Facing: Under heavy concurrent load spikes, background POST webhook listener sockets occasionally report HTTP 504 gateway timeout responses before acknowledging payload completion. Direct REST API requests to the same remote host resolve normally under 150ms thresholds. Are there recommended network socket keep-alive settings or queue worker retries to prevent connection drops during high-volume audio metadata syncs? Any advice on managing asynchronous background worker threads would be appreciated!Thanks!

HelloI’ve been using zone with four Era 100 in my sun room since last fall. No issue to report, it’s perfect to play ambiance music in a large area. But since the last app update, my zone disappear and all 4 speakers become separate.Am I the only one ?  Is it a known issue ? I’m using Alexa and 

i have old gen 2 connect:amp with in wall sonos sonance. want to see if I can set up surround with gen 1 sub and play 3 pair. 

I started the setup aded the E100SL speaker. Connected to wifi, then It says - when flashing green and white … press the button.Its flashing green and yellow.  But what button?I found something on the kit but nothing happened.is it a button on the app?Have just bought two speakers, beautifully packaged...but so far it's form over function. Going to have to return.Back to my Kef Coda 4s 

My system just picked up the Amazon service changes. However, the Desktop app has an empty “Collections” section at the root of the object tree. Mobile shows Library / Explore Podcasts / User Playlists which I assume is correct.

Sonos app seems to operates independently on my iPad and iPhone. Not long ago they operated as one device seemlessly!

I am having issues with my 4K UHD Blu-Rays playing full Dolby Atmos on my current setup. I play use PS5 that is connected to my Samsung S90F. I have Beam (Gen 2) and SYMFONISK rears that support Dolby Atmos (when streaming or playing games, I have no problem with Atmos.) When I start playing an 4k blu ray with an Atmos track (in this case, Dune: Part 2), my sonos app is saying that it is only receiving "multichannel pcm 5.1" when it should be receiving Dolby Atmos. I saw people suggested selecting "pass-through" on my Samsung TV but this did not help. Any suggestions on what might be going on?

After working great since purchase my Sonos Beam Gen 2 has started switching the TV input back to the Sonos HDMI 1 EARC. Within a couple of minutes of choosing an input for Amazon Firestick it switches back to Sonos. Any ideas on how to fix? I’ve tried unplugging the TV and Sonos. I also tried a new HDMI cable. I have a new (~3 weeks) Sonos Era 100 that has developed a digital ‘scratch’ sound when waking up the voice assistant. Whenever I say “Alexa…” I’ll get the chime and what sounds like a short scratch/static sound. The rest of audio playback is fine, music is unaffected, and I’ve not heard this same sound aside from using the wake word.Restarting the speaker didn’t do anything and I’m not sure if this is something I should initiate a return for, or if its a known issue with a fix.Ideas are welcome. 

Hello, I believe my setup should work but I’m missing something. I’m hopeful someone with a similar setup can assist and highlight what I’m missing.  Tv, Apple TV, and sound bar are all up to date.  Hardware:Apple TV 4K (2022) → “4k 120fps hdmi 2.1” cable→ HDMI 1 (enhanced format)  on Sony Bravia 5 2025 K65XR50  Sony Bravia 5 2025 K65XR50 port 3 eARC → same HDMI cable model and length as before → Sonos beam gen 2 (latest firmware) Surround is 1 x Beam gen 2,  2 x ikea symphonik bookshelf speakers as rear audio, and a gen3 subwoofer.   Software settings:Sony TV -> sound (audio settings); Dolby AC-4 dialogue: minDynamic range: standardDTS Dynamic Range: off audio system settings;acoustic center: offaudio system prioritize: offavsync: autodigital output: autoeARC: autooptical digital audio output;optical digital output: offdigital output: Auto I can get Dolby 5.1 all day long but there is no option for atmos on the Apple TV or in apps.  I swapped cables and tried full power cycles.  No

If your Roam 2 speaker has sat without power for some time, does it need to be plugged into a power source for a bit before you can even get the power or status light to come on?

Used to use the Sonos app exclusively. Then as we all know Sonos threw us a bomb that messed up a lot of users. After reading the constant complaints and issues so many were having, I went with the SonoPhone and Clic apps. They worked fine and I didn’t do any Sonos update's for two years. Now, I listen to SoundCloud most of the time if not a movie. Lately, SoundCloud and Sonos weren’t playing well together and I threw in the towel. I downloaded / updated the Sonos app……and ..drumroll 🥁🥁…. the Sonos app has been great and SoundCloud is perfect once again . Now I have a question..can one have the option “ No Content “ in a room , or will it always show music or tv?

Please add a setting in Sonos Voice Control that lets users enable or disable the spoken announcement before music starts playing.Currently, when using Spotify, Sonos Voice Control announces the song title and artist before starting playback. With Apple Music, playback can start immediately after the confirmation sound.It would be useful to have a simple option such as:Announce song before playbackOn OffIdeally, this setting could apply per music service.Personally, I would prefer Spotify playback to behave like Apple Music: voice command → confirmation sound → immediate playback, without Sonos reading the track information aloud.Since the Spotify announcement is already handled by Sonos Voice Control, this seems like something that could be exposed as a user preference.Thanks.

I have multiple users on my system. Sonos says to log in to get the full experience.   Does another user need to set up their own account then log in on the app which is connected to my system or do the need to use my login credentials?

I am new to the community. I am having an issue with the Music Library and I hope someone can help or explain. i have some CDs that I have ripped that are Sampler CD compilations. I have a number of CDs that I had picked up at various audiophile shows that are sponsored by hifi manufacturers. As an Example, NAIM handed out a CD which contains various artists and tracks. When I index this CD to the library each track is separated from the normal track list and is individually listed in the Artists section. How can I fix this so that these kind of CDs are treated like a normal CD where all the tracks are listed in order?

I know this may sound controversial but I find my Sonos Ray more full bodied in voices compared to the beam 2 which I also have. This is normally experienced during regular TV broadcast, news etc. Voices have a bit more umph and clairty whereas the Beam is cleaner and neutral, well almost flat if you will. Make no mistake, when playing proper Dolby Atmos or 5.1 with some fat “hollywood mixing” the beam is miles ahead.But maybe 85% of the time I just watch the news, stream documentaries, series and listen to people talk. Was is overkill to get the Beam?Bascially what I am missing is a richer, warmer sound in the voice frequencies. Earlier I only had the Beam but now I also have the Ray and can do real comparisons using same TV, same room, same settings and what not. I have also used Trueplay on both. Hello, I take the liberty of asking you because I have a fairly well-known problem that I can't solve.I bought a Sonos Arc Ultra and 2 Era 300 and here is my equipment:-LG OLED 65C1- Panasonic UB820 Blu-ray Player-PS5-Apple TV 4KOn my Panasonic UB-820 player, Dolby Atmos and Dolby Digital work perfectly but DTS-HD does not convert to PCM 5.1, it is indicated in PCM Stereo!My PS5 can convert DTS audio to LPCM 5.1, and it sounds great!Can anyone help me with this problem?
