After lots of investigation and comparison, in January I decided to select Sonos for my whole-home music system speakers, to be controlled via my extensive Home Assistant smart home system via the Music Assistant subsystem (HA/MA). The purchase timing was influenced by IKEA discontinuing their Symfonisk line, with the remaining speaker inventory available for half-price, plus a Sonos 25%-off sale.I first bought a pair of Symfonisk Picture Frame speakers, and after onboarding them with the Android Sonos app, they were instantly discovered by HA/MA after adding the MA Sonos Provider. Aside from lacking the TruePlay feature, these speakers were everything I hoped they would be. Hiya, I currently have a playlist with songs for both Apple Music and Amazon both of which I’m subscribing to, if I only used Amazon subscription going forward will Sonos still play the full playlist including the songs from Apple just switching providers to the same song but from Amazon?  Or is it a case of laboriously making a whole new playlist from Amazon music ?

I have an Arc Ultra, Sub and ETA 300 set up. Until recently I was getting ATMOS with supported content via my 2017 Apple TV 4K, however I have noticed under TVOS 26.3 that titles that formerly played ATMOS content are now only Dolby Digital 5.1. My PS5 and Xbox still play content in ATMOS including movies over my Sonos setup.I updated the Sonos system in the app and also installed the new TVOS beta, but neither has helped. Also the usual reboots. Any ideas?

Hi, I have a Sony Bravia 8 and have my Sonos Arc Ultra with Sub 3 and 2 Era 300sWhen I watch a movie doesn’t matter the audio format Dolby Atmos, Dolby Digital Plus etc, I get intermittent audio dropouts/glitches throughout the movie randomly and happens for a second around every 15-30 mins during the movie. Very annoying I have contacted Sonos support and after being through 6 people the 7th person finally knew what I was talking about and they said they are aware of the issue but have no information at this time. hopefully this gets sorted and they fix this issue in the next update.

Hi everyone,I’m writing because I feel my Sonos Arc Ultra isn’t performing as it should. I’ve noticed a few specific issues: EQ adjustments: Sometimes, I don't notice any change when I increase or decrease the Treble or Bass (especially the Bass) through the app. I don't have an external subwoofer; I'm only using the one built into the soundbar itself. Subwoofer testing: To verify that everything is working correctly, I’ve been using the test samples found on this thread: [Link]. When I run the test, the subwoofer channel doesn't produce any sound. However, if I play YouTube videos to test low frequencies, it responds well down to 30Hz (which is quite good). Could someone else without a standalone Sonos Sub run the same test and let me know if the subwoofer channel triggers any sound for them? Volume fluctuations: I notice significant volume imbalances when watching movies that are not Full Dolby Atmos 5.1. There are constant peaks and dips, especially with dialogue—voices feel too

I have a ROAM network at home, however I’m in the South Pacific on a cruise right now. I brought our ROAM 1st gen speaker with us. My iPhone connects fine to the ROAM across bluetooth. Just prior to our departure, I bought a new iPad. The iPad did not have the Sonos app loaded, which I’ve now done.The iPad cannot “see” the ROAM as it was never connected to the home SONOS network.Is it even remotely possible to use the ROAM Bluetooth settings buried in my iPhone, and manually create a connection from the new iPad to the ROAM? Many TIA!

I have Amazon music set as my default music provider on my speakers but when ever I ask via Alexa for music to be played it defaults to Spotify free and invariably just plays something random or related to the artist requested.I have reauthorised Amazon music, rescanned for speakers and even removed Spotify as a service provider in the Sonos app, and set Amazon music to default again, yet somehow my speakers still defaults to playing from Spotify free, not sure how or why.

Sonos playbar ultra not connecting to lg tv. I’ve used the below lead and plugged into e arc on tv and selected that for sound out. Lead I purchased is attached. 

My Sonos Amp has been running well for several years. In about Feb 2026 two issues arose - that may or may not be related.The existing alarms after working flawlessly for years started to behave eratically, either not turning on at all or turning on and then off again well short of the preset time. I have deleted and recreated the alarms but this has not resolved this first issue.   When streaming a radio station the output, (at various times seemingly at random), jumps back to where it was about 3 minutes earlier. (if I had to guess I would say the control of the buffer has become unstable)  I have (a) restarted my NBN modem, (b) restarted  my wifi router and (C) factory reset the Sonos Amp and readded it back to my system and recreated the alrams but these have not resolved this second issue.How do I resolve these?  Any suggestions will be gratefully accepted.

I have an arc ultra, sub four and two era 300s that comprise my home theater surround system. As near as I can tell I should not need to add anything else, but I am wondering if I can.The other thing I’m wondering about is can I take two era 100s Into an adjacent room for the purposes of listening to music or will that conflict with my surrounding system since the second room is very close to my surround system?

Hi, I’m having issues with Dolby audio being muffled. I’m using my Macbook’s HDMI port to connect to Valerion projector HDMI input 1, and then using HDMI eARC on Valerion to connect to Sonos Arc Ultra. I’m using VLC as a media player. I have a TrueHD Atmos 7.1 movie which plays audio as it should. But when I play any DDP 5.1 movie - the audio is muffled. No matter what I do, I can’t get audio to sound right even on Mono or Stereo setting, it’s always muffled. When I switch the audio output to AirPlay to Sonos, I loose the Dolby part but at least it sounds right. I tested it on more than one DDP 5.1 movies, all suffer from this.If I skip the Macbook and just use Valerion with a streaming service such as Netflix or HBO Max and connect it to Sonos with eARC, it plays Dolby Atmos as expected.

Hallo,Ik gebruik de google assistent al jaren zonder probelem op mijn sonos beam maar sinds kort praat die half Engels en Nederlands door elkaar heb de assistent van de speaker verwijder en opnieuw toegevoegd hopend dat het opgelost zou zijn maar nu kan die helemaal geen commando's uitvoeren ik kan wel vragen "wat is de tijd" dan krijg ik in het Nederlands antwoord als ik vraag doe de lampen uit dan krijg ik in het Engels antwoord of als ik synchroniseer apparaten zeg dan krijg ik in het Engel dat alles opnieuw gesynchroniseerd is maar niks werkt meer iemand een idee Op alle systemen staat alleen Nederlands als taal geen 2e taal locatie staat ook op Nederland alle systemen ook geüpdatet 

As of today the Sonos app is triggering a virus alert on my Android phone.  The alert tells me Sonos is affected with "Android.Heuristic.Adcheat.OutAppAD.ABS.FX".This is preventing me from using all of my phone functionality as I get locked out of some apps due to the presence of a "virus" (which I assume is Sonos' advertising functionality.An example of an app which prevents use is my Online Banking application. I cannot use this app unless Sonos is completely uninstalled.Is a fix going to issued to prevent this presumable false identification?

Hi all  I’ve searched for an answer high and low on here - couldnt find an answer. Question is not for a home theater setup.  My Sonos AMP is not connected to my TV.  Question for Stereo playback case (ie: streaming music off Apple Music directly off the S2 app) on the Sonos Amp - hooked up to a pair of passive speakers. I already have Sub 4 hooked up.  If I were to add a second sub (Gen 3 or a Sub 4), would the bass be split up into Left and Right channels between the two subs (ie: stereo)? Or each sub would be receiving the entirety of the bass (ie: mono).  

I have wifi issues - every single day.  bell 3000 modem this is recent  it works sometimes  I unplugged all the devices and went through the process of reconnecting  now I am stuck is it worth persevering or should I throw them in the trash 

March ‘26 still no further. Wow!Still can’t get rid of the ‘red stripe’ device offline. Some settings may not be available.. Been ages now. Appalling! Didn’t really need to buy Alexa compatible speakers. Sonos, Alexa owes you a few...!If anybody has any fixes that aren't online, let me know.Jay Bullrich

Hi everyone, simple question - are the KEF R3 Meta speakers suitable for the Sonos Amp? Does anyone have any experience?

 I’m getting the error “the track is not encoded correctly” on Sonos S1 when trying to play DR’s radio channels via DR LYD. Both the app and firmware are fully updated, but the issue happens every time.It seems like a compatibility problem with DR’s current stream format on the S1 platform.I do not want to use TuneIn as a workaround, since I prefer using DR’s official stream.Does anyone know whether DR’s current stream is compatible with Sonos S1, or if there’s a proper fix

I have a record player hooked up to the Era 100. Main reason I got it because of the direct line in, so I usually want my record player sound playing on the whole system.I would love if you could configure the long press pause/play button so that all available Sonos speaker in the system group TO the Era 100. Currently it only seems possible to group the Era 100 to other speakers that are already playing music.

I have an argon turntable with preamp and the official Sonos line-in connection. Turntable connected, preamp functioning and line-in set up on the Era 100. Line in chosen as source and in the app linein is marked on the era 100 and the “sound icon shows music playing- but no sound. Volume turned up and down numerous times. Autoplay - tried  both on and off,Cables checked, Sonos and app updated and every post here read and tried - no sound. Any tips? Turntable works with other amps/speakers, Era is functioning in the Sonos system and it is set up as a single unit. Picture showing the era 100, playing by line in 

HiSonos arc ultra and sub gen 3, thought I would try a trueplay retune, in particular the advanced method on my iPhone 17pro.Runs the tuning all be it seems to skip the listening position step, after the retune doesn’t save, I have no trueplay tab to turn on/off.Tried quick tune same thing. system/app fully up to date.Any help please.🙏 

I think this topic was brought up a year ago:  But I’m still having this same problem.  I have “Song Number” selected in “Sort Folders By” but the tracks in any album with multiple artists are ordering the tracks by Artist and not by the track number.Can anyone help me with this?

I work in a corporate building and have been changing between using Auracle and Spotify on the Sonos music app. I found that sometimes the Sonos speakers just stops playing the music on Spotify and resets the queue back to the first song. I spoke to the customer service who said that there is somebody else using the Spotify account, however we only have this Spotify access through the Sonos account and so I cannot “sign all out” or change the Spotify password. I also suspect that because this is my workplace that nobody else is connected to it. Some days it wont work at all, whilst on other days its fine all day. Is there a limit to the amount of tracks I can listen to on Spotify through Sonos? How can I stop this from happening as its really annoying.
