If anyone has sonos playing their jellyfin music please share how.  Jellyfin is so awesome i find it almost impossible to believe there is no solution.  I must be missing something big.  But after hours of reading around and looking at ports and multicasting and reading about dlna and upnp i feel lost.  (6) play ones (1) playbar (1) movejellyfin running on truenas scale with port 1900/udp open.  i see nothing in the sonos app about jellyfin or dlna or upnp.  i’m tempted to create a smb share to try to share the files directly??  ​@RenegadeAndy did you ever work anything out?

I need to start completely over and wipe my current system. The instructions online offer steps, but those steps don’t align with what I see in my app. Does anyone have detailed instructions on how to do this. I’ve spent thousands of dollars and countless hours trying to get this product to work, and I’m so very frustrated. I need this systems to work given the resources I’ve put into it, so I need to start over and rebuild and hope that is the solution to ultimately making my system work. 

I have a surround sound system of a PlayBar, Sub and two Play:1 speakers for TV and streaming. Since the last update I’ve had some issues.When trying to mute the sound or change the volume via the buttons on the Play:1s, the green light comes on then goes out and nothing happens. If I restart the speakers, they will work for a short while and then fail again. They are performing normally otherwise and are visible in the app as part of the system.I just remembered another issue. When I restart my Mac, the Sonos app can’t find the speakers until I go to System Settings > Privacy & Security > Local Network and flip the Sonos switch off and on. I know this is a known issue as I found the answer here when it first happened. I don’t know if that is an Apple or Sonos responsibility.Finally, just to say that when logging in here, there was an error message I didn’t record (sorry) but a page refresh let me in. Anyway, thanks for reading this. Upgraded my TV. SAMSUNG QN55QZFDAFXZA QLED which does not have a dedicated optical port. It has the eARC/HDMI port. Purchased a eARC/ARC to Optical Audio Converter ESY266 in order to make the connection to the optical port on my PLAYBAR. Successful link and setup of my PLAYBAR and PLAY 1 speakers. Volume control via the SONOS app works perfect no issue. My question/issue is this….I cannot control the SONOS volume via the SAMSUNG  Smart TV Solar Remote Controller BN59-01432J A. This SAMSUNG remote is universal. Reading the details of the Audio converter it states  “this product does not support CEC functionality The optical interface cannot be used to control volume throught the TV remote” 

hi i have a sonos move 2 6 months old but its never been able to charge via the base usb c is fine but not the base ive just bought a new power supply for it 45w 5v incase that was faulty i have an orange light come on for ten seconds then it goes off as it should but still no charge any help or advise please 

I bought my Sonos 2006, so it's most probably 1st gen. The main connector to the internet with an ethernet cable is a ZP100. Over the years, the  other ZP100, I think it is, with the small Sonos speaker upstairs stopped working.. The  remote control  that I bought with it stopped working too. Luckily an app was made, so the remote control (which costed a lot of money, was made redundant anyway). Left with the ZP100 downstairs and a non Sonos speaker, it worked for years. Then I added a PLAY 5 to the mix for the kitchen. All these kept working for many years, and then life happened - no time for listening to music THAT WAY. About 5 months ago, I had a guest and put the kitchen one on. We had a good time, listened to old school music.  The very next day, to continue the vibe, I put my Sonos on and to this day, I can't get them to work! Hi all.I have a Sonos ZP90 zone player that works fine in our bar - outhouse, also linked play5 1st generation that I use sometimes outside in summer months.The ZP90 works fine in the bar, but when the Play5 is connected, it also works fine and audio is stable, but then the ZP90 in the bar starts cracking up – intermittent – hiccup sound like a lose wire like on a microphone eg, the play 5 outside (only 6 meters away from the ZP90) works perfectly and audio is stable with no issues.The Zone player ZP90 is connected to the routed via ethernet cable, the Play 5 is working via wifi.This problem occurs both from my laptop and also same thing from my iPhone.I wondered if anyone could suggest a reason for this, or a solution to this issue as it is now doing my head in!

I have two level house. Downstairs are two groups of wall speakers linked to Wiin Amps that I control via Google home group them in this. I am now looking to install Sonos wall speakers upstairs link to the Sonos Amp and Sonos Arc for the TV areas (plus subwoofer in time). Do you know if I will be able to group them all (upstairs and downstairs) via google home system so music plays and can be controlled simultaneously?Thanks

On one of the albums in my library, one channel disappears when the album is played on a Sonos speaker. I know that a single Sonos speaker is monoaural, but it sounds like there is no right speaker. The guitar is missing; there is only bass and drums. Other albums sound just fine on these speakers.This does not happen on the original CD played on a CD player or with an iPod, or on the desktop PC where my music library is stored, which uses iTunes. It does not happen on my Mac laptop, which uses the Apple Music app. And it does not happen on my iPhone. It only happens on my Sonos speakers. I have four different Sonos models for different rooms, and they all have this problem, but I have been testing mainly on a Roam.I spoke to a Sonos AI assistant for more than 25 minutes. She suggested that I try playing the album from the Apple Music app instead of from my library.  Will it have Alexa + Sonos integration?

I just found one of my Roam 2 speakers was so hot it melted the charging cord where it plugs into the speaker. I searched and found this issue reported in August of 2025. Has anyone had this experience recently?

When I first set up my Sonos era 100s last year they were fine with Alexa. Earlier this year they started getting worse and worse with Alexa.What happens is i say"Alexa, play radio 4"The speaker says, "playing BBC radio 4"Then nothing happens. OrI connect to radio 4 via the Sonos appThen I say, "Alexa off"The volume goes down, but then comes back. It never switches off.I have tried everything - disconnecting and and reconnecting the Alexa skill, powering off and on, factory resets and complete setting up of the speakers again, forcing them onto 2.4ghz by switching off the 5ghz router channel at set up... I'm at my wits end. But basically I think that you pay a lot for Sonos and this situation is absolute rubbish. It would be ok if Sonos voice control worked with BBC, but it doesn't.

Just got my Sonos ace and the quality is great. Only problem is the sound is not loud enough for me. Any suggestions?

Every time I try playing an Amazon Playlist larger than 100 tracks (haven't tested with other providers) the system fails to queue properly. It will load the first 100 tracks correctly, but the remainder of the queue will just be the last few songs in the playlist repeated over and over until the queued track count matches the playlist count. I have tested by adding and removing songs from the playlist with the same result every time. This is especially annoying when shuffling as I'll hear the same 2-4 songs repeatedly with different ones sprinkled in. Is there somewhere I can report this bug other than here? This is all I could find. 

Hi Sonos Gurus,I control my Sonos from my iPhone connected to SSID “17” mapped to VLAN 1 (Native Network).I have approximately 15 Sonos speakers incl. Play-1, One, Beam, Arc, Era.Some are wired to VLAN 6. Some are connected over Wifi SSID “Sonos-17” mapped to VLAN 6. I suspect some are still on SonosNet because they are old and SonosNet is on channel 11.For some reason, since this morning, I cannot access my Sonos setup using my iPhone connected to SSID “17”. However when I switch my iPhone over to “Sonos-17” SSID, it. works.ThanksThomas

Hello,I have connected a vinyl turntable to my two Era 300 speakers via cable and I am looking for a way to adjust the volume while listening. I saw on a forum that IKEA has a solution, but it requires buying a hub, and I already have two: my Apple TV and a TAPO hub for my connected devices. I’m surprised I haven’t found a simple solution to this problem.I should mention that I am in France, so I am looking for a solution that I can either buy in France or have delivered. Thanks in advance for your replies!

Hi I have a 75x90 Sony TV with earc HDMI out TV i swall mounted and want to split audio, earc to Sonos Arc Ultra for movies etc but for concerts and music I want to feed to Naim and Kef system Orei make an earc splitter but does not apear to be available in UK at present.I do not want to use the optical out of TV as tha means accessing menus to change audio set up. Any other suggestions?  Many thanks 

Android phone running latest version of Sonos available to me..When I have the Roam showing in full screen, the battery icon shows but it doesn’t show the actual battery level.OK so I can ask Sonos about the battery but that only gives a very approximate level amount and isn’t accurate enough when the battery level is falling towards being empty.I’m currently charging the battery so it does display the amount when looking at all the rooms but I’m sure that it doesn’t display the amount in this view if not charging (I will check this later) 

For several months, I have been experiencing persistent issues with the S1 controller and Amazon Music. Despite reaching out to support for help, the problem remains unresolved. I have been a longtime user of both Amazon Music and the S1 controller, but ever since the most recent S1 software update on iOS, I can no longer use control Amazon music without constantly receiving the error message: "This song is not encoded correctly."I have already tried all standard troubleshooting steps, such as rebooting the devices, restarting the router, ensuring all software is up to date, and reinstalling the Amazon service within the app—none of which has resolved the issue.
