Hello everyone, We’ve had annoying issues to say the least with our Sonos system (beam + 2x One SL) since the November update.  We had no issues up until then, everything worked perfectly, be it when we played music, watched tv or used any streaming service. But since November, it’s all gone haywire and it’s driving me crazy. I keep trying to change the settings but nothing works, no setting stays the same for everything like it used to. Before that darn update, I only touched *once* the settings, and that’s when we installed the system over 2 years ago. It worked oh so well up until November.  Dialogues are muffled, but then all the other sounds are too loud. I have to turn up the volume to hear what’s being said and then end up deafening the whole house when all the other sounds come on. It’s like the sound is on stereo. There is a real snag with the new pair of Sonos Era 100 and my Mesh Deco X50 where I am getting kicked off and having to reselect the speakers and start from scratch. I have pretty good patience but having done this some 30-40 times I am wondering if there is something non compatible about mesh (which moves across networks) and Sonos wanting to be static on one router.In have Set a preferred routers for the Sonos and my phone  rebooted the rooter and mesh and updated all the software  tried using the Sonos from another device to check its not my phoneAll / any advice welcome. 

I currently have 2 Sonos Amps, 2 Beams and a Play One in my home and it was working just fine for years until recently, I’ve noticed I’m unable to control my system in the app. I can see each device but when I click play, it doesn’t actually start any music. I had a friend over who connected to my wifi network and was able to control it himself, no problems. I also logged in on my Windows PC and was able to control it, so it seems to just be my iPhone. I found if I unplugged the amps and plugged them back in, it seems to connect to my phone then but I’ve only tried that a couple of times otherwise I just don’t listen to music or find another device to control it. My Sonos app has always been up to date, along with all of my speakers/devices.Any suggestions?? 

Hi guys Ive had a S2 Playbar for a number of years which has worked wonderfully. I recently bought a brand new s4 sub base unit but cannot get it to connect to the playbar network via the wi fi. Looking at the data im not sure they are compatable which is very frustrating as i cant get the base unit to work as it wont asign to the playerbar network. Is there any way i can get them to work together ideally without wiring them together ( even if thats a possibility) ? Any help appreciated.Many thanks Geoff

I was an early Sonos fan, had several S1 products and everything worked great. Now, Sonos has split into S1 and S2 (don’t get me started) and I’ve divorced and my ex-wife who never really liked it decided to dump the old S1 Connect and Connect:Amp products back on me. In the meantime I have since bought my own S2 products and set up a new S2 system.I’d love to use the two Connect products and the Connect:Amp product to get an upgrade discount on a new Amp for some outdoor speakers, but I can’t seem to figure out how to do it. I tried doing a factory reset on the connect units (worked fine), setting up a new S1 system (also fine), and then going to the website (new components show up under my account, system). It sounds like there should be an “upgrade” tab somewhere, but going to this URLUpgrade | Sonosleads to a page that says “Don’t see your speaker? Check to see if it is plugged in.” I know that the components are there because the “System” page on the website sees them just fine. 

Since updating I've noticed a sudden drop in  volume.First noticed it while listing to Apple music. a short way into a song the volume dropped, I turned it up and it happend again. Didn't think too much of it.But then it happened while watching TV, so I turned the volume up, then a few seconds later the volume shot back up.Anyone else noticed this?Any thoughts?Hope it's just the update.Jon Izzard 

I have a Playbar, Sub, and 2 Play:1s combination.  The TV I have is old and specifically restricts devices input directly to the TV via HDMI as only being output via optical in 2.0 PCM. Not very unusual with older TVs.  I’m getting sound from the Play:1s.  What exactly is the Playbar outputting to the surrounds?  Stereo?  Some kind of matrixed surround similar to Prologic II?  I’m not dissatisfied with the sound.  I’m just curious what’s going on with this configuration.  If I got a TV that passed through Dolby Digital 5.1 via optical what would the Playbar do with that?  Is it going to sound markedly better than whatever it’s doing with 2.0?  I’m not really all that amped up about Atmos or anything like that yet.  5.1 and 1080p are just fine for now.This room is pretty much exclusively for streaming.  Most surround programming is DD+.  Something tells me that since my Roku senses what my playback device will process, that it will only send 2.0 PCM out anyway since it doesn’t transcode

Hi everyone,I’m looking for some help with a persistent connection issue. My Sonos Arc Ultra paired with Era 100 & Era 300 for surround constantly disconnects from the WiFi and disappears from the app, even though both the speaker and my phone are sitting right next to the router.Troubleshooting I’ve already done:• Tested with multiple different phones (same result).• Verified that the phone and speakers are on the same network/frequency and have a static IP address.• The only fix: If I provide a wired ethernet connection to the Arc Ultra, the app stays connected and everything works. As soon as I go wireless, it drops.Has anyone else experienced this with the Arc Ultra? I have tried to pair multiple remotes so that I can adjust volume. It shows that it has worked and it works for about a minute then stops. Looking for suggestions 

First time using a soundbar. Is it normal to have some delay on lip sync?

I recently bought a Sony PS5, and when playing games, the audio intermittently drops on my Sonos Arc (with Sub and 2 surrounds connected) for a second, and then keeps happening.It’s enough to be really annoying. I have changed the HDMI cable and looked at the settings on the Playstation and on my Sony TV, and all seems OK. Audio is fine through my Apple TV and Nintendo Switch, this is just with the Playstation. Any ideas how to fix?

I am absolutly fed up of having to reboot my router to access Sonos from my phone. I have a VPN, but not only do I tunnel it, I turn it off, I restart my phone, but no, if I want to run Sonos from my phone I nearly always have to reboot my router. Honestly, I love the sound but the application and connectivity, I can never recommend this product or even contemplate any upgrades. 

I have 2 speakers which stubbornly refuse to allow the full 45 second Truplay sequence to complete due to back ground noise. Is this a thing? can you counter the background noise message? I have done the tune thing in a row which is totally silent of background noise and its driving me nuts 

Hello Sonos Team and Community,I own multiple Sonos speakers (including One SL) and have been a loyal user for years. Recently, I can no longer play Radio Rock (Finland) on Sonos. Instead of the station, I only get “Welcome to TuneIn” and ads looping endlessly.Here’s what I’ve tried:Removed and re-added TuneIn (New) in the Sonos app Logged in with my TuneIn account and added Radio Rock as a favorite Rebooted speakers, reset network, cleared cache Tried Sonos desktop app and mobile app Verified that the station works in TuneIn’s own appNothing works. Previously, I could add a custom stream URL to Sonos and bypass TuneIn issues, but Sonos removed that feature in recent updates. This leaves me with no way to listen to a major Finnish radio station on a multi-thousand-euro system.This is unacceptable. Hi All, I have an extremely frustrating situation with a new Arc Ultra - when watching content from my Shield via the Brava e-ARC the status light will turn on white (I have it set to off) then the volume will jump up and down for a minute or two. Sometimes it stops and the light goes out again, sometimes the power needs to be pulled. I’ve spoken to support, been through troubleshooting (reboot, update, disabled IR and touch controls etc etc) but this is an intermittent issue and it will go away after a reboot/reset for a few hours, or even days so hard to get in touch with support when the fault is occurring. It is driving me mad - and sounds very similar to the issue here so I’m starting to wonder if there is a hardware issue: Anyone out there got any good ideas? Thanks.

I have recently switched from Amazon Music to Tidal. I have linked the Tidal service in the Sonos app and can control using the Sonos app, I just can’t get Sonos to play Tidal music using voice commands (Sonos), I get the following back:“Sorry, Sonos voice control isn’t available for Tidal yet”.Can anyone help, or is just a limitation I have to live with?ThanksLee

every time I connect my play base to the Internet and when I disconnect it, it does not appear in my app

I have a Sonos system consisting of 2 x Era 100s, 1 x Beam, 1 x Roam and a Connect. I have had all for a while, but over the last month have had difficulties using Alexa to control them. Alexa works fine to check weather, add stuff to a list, but when asking her to play music from either Amazon, or BBC Sounds, or Pocket Casts, she responds, tells me she is going to do it, and then does nothing. A reboot of the speaker gets her responding again, but this only lasts a short while. I have spent hours on the chat with Sonos, and a 2 hour phone call with them and my ISP this morning. Sonos blame the ISP, the ISP blame Sonos.

I am facing an issue where I cannot add a factory reset  play:1 & play:3 to my existing system. When I go to add the play:3 I get this message:We couldn’t find any Sonos products on {WI-FI Name} so we can’t set up your Play:3. Try again later This is very weird because There is a Ray, Sonos Roam and 2x One’s and an existing Play:3 already registered on the WiFi network. What might cause this? I’ve tried multiple resets, power cycles, wifi & direct ethernet connection. Another post suggested that it would be best to forget the wifi network and update it. So powered off all registered products and wired the existing Play:3 to my router. I powered on all the speakers and updated the network first through the Roam then the Ray (the ones are grouped to the Ray for surrounds). The app shows the “Add your Play:3” banner, but when I try to set it up the error in quotes happens. I’ve tried multiple android devices (Pixel 6, My old P20 pro and a Lenovo Tablet) - all have the same issue.

I have very old Play 3 and Play 5 and brought them out of storage. Can they connect to wifi? If so: how?not tech savvy

Hi all, wondering if anybody could help me I have just purchased a Sonos arc, my tv only has an arc port and not an earc port. My tv model is a Sony KD 55x8509c,it is also running thru sky stream and I have set the audio out to pass through and also tried Dolby digital plus.the problem I’m having is I can’t seem to get Dolby digital plus to come through, should it say Dolby digital plus when playing on the Sonos app? As mine just says Dolby digital 5.1 so not sure if am getting the full experience.

hello, I'm fooling with my mac’s wifi private address settings.options are off, fixed, rotating.seems that Sonos doesn't like the ‘rotating’ option, which I believe is more secure.Am I missing a setting/option, or is this the way it needs to be? thanks

I have two roam two speakers and want to daisy them together to play off my phone or laptop.Went through and got them on the app and connected to my wifi. The speakers don't show in my app and can't find them (added through add speaker/ device button) Any help would be appreciated.
