I currently have an arc with 2 x 1sl’s for surrounds in my lounge and it works fine with the usual tv apps and my Virgin streaming box but when I use the Firestick the some bounces from arc to SL1 surround’s and back

Should I use my play bar soundbar as a rear surround or play 1 speakers 

HelloI am a long time user of the Sonos AMP (gen 2), connected to vintage (aka old) Kef Coda 70s.Sounds punchy, detailed & engaging!My question:Apple TV supports 24/48 kHz stereo sound via HDMI eARC.The Sonos Amp’s connector is HDMI ARC only.Does the Sonos AMP receive/play 24/48 kHz stereo via HDMI ARC, or is converted to 16/44.1 kHz (CD quality), or something else?There doesn’t seem to be a definitive answer for this that I can see?(I’m aware Apple Music Lossless 24/48 is available via the S2 app, but sometimes I prefer using the Apple Music interface on Apple TV)  Thanks in advance 

Hi, newbie here. I’m going to purchase a Sonos set up that consists of 4 architectual speakers, amp and a smart switch. All 4 in one room. It’s 6x4m. 2 one end for the bar area and two the other for the tv. I’m thinking a switch would be good to turn down/off either end when not needed. What’s people’s thoughts. Also, would there be a wiring diagram for this? Thanks  

My rear speakers never update, but everything else does.This seems to be a Sonos bug that they refuse to acknowledge.The issue is that from a network perspective the Arc and its subs appear as one entity all having the same MAC address (the arc connects to the network on wifi 2.4GHz and to the subs using a local 5GHz signal that does not go through the router).Come update time there is no network route to the subs, and the arc does not have the smarts to do the update on behalf of the subs.As a work around I have allocated the subs mac address in my router. When the update to the subs fails, I turn off the arc, restart the app, do an update, usually twice, once for each sub, then turn on the arc and we are back working.This is better that resetting subs as a lot of the advice suggests.It would be nice if there someone had a better workaround as it is obviously a network issues, not signal strength, interference etc.

Hi’ just received two days ago brand new Sonos Ace headphones I’m having an insane issue while I’m on any type of a call using the aware or NC mode, while I speak randomly I’ll hear a super high pitch noise for a brief second while I talk, it’s extremely loud and unbearable  I’ve updated to latest and also done a full hard reset to the unit ! Nothing has changed I have a brand new iPhone 16 pro max with Sonos app installed This is horrible, why is it happening ? I read on Reddit that people were experiencing similar issues from the cpu frequency being picked up by ANC microphones or something like that. Also when I’m on a call, other people hear me muffled and like I’m in a tunnel, these are expensive premium headphones that shouldn’t be like that I think?  

Hi, sorry if this is a common question. I tried to find my exact issue but couldn't.I’m running a Samsung 4K TV, AppleTV 4k (1st gen), Sonos Beam 1 via arc hdmiMy main goal is to be able to adjust volume on the Beam with one of the remotes when the TV is off.  I’ve tried all options of IR/RF learning both TV and Apple TV remotes. Nothing is working.Currently when watching thru AppleTV the remote adjusts the Beam volume fine. Likewise when watching just the television alone (appleTV off) the Samsung remote adjusts the Beam fine. What I’d like to achieve is one of those remotes controlling the volume of the Beam while the TV is off and I’m just listening to the music, etc.I’d like to not have to open my phone for simple volume adjustments so please don't suggest. I currently use “Hey Sonos” which I find tedious as its idea of lower/higher volume is all over the place. I tend to have to throw multiple commands and volume numbers to get it right. I have an Arc Ultra and 2 Era 300. What I want to do is 1) to get the home theatre setup, having the Era’s as surrounds - this is easy to do - and also 2) use the Era’s 300 as a stereo pair, using my turntable connected to one Era via line-in. This works easily, but it seems I cannot have options 1 and 2 configured through the app? If I configure the Era’s as surrounds, then it seems I lose the line-in for the turntable, and the stereo pair. I can’t understand this Sonos limitation (or perhaps I’m too clumsy?)

I have a new server and new desktop.  Last night, I was able to connect my Play3 to Sonos - plays the services I have set up.However, when I go to connect a separate Play3, I keep getting the message “we couldn’t find any Sonos products on you mobile device’s network so we can set up the Play3.I have rebooted Router, modem, iphone, hard reset the Play3, but to no avail.Help!Don Jones

I have four sonos move1 and two roam. Auto Trueplay does not turn on after updating the app(ver82.00.45/93.1-74010)(Samsung,Android 14)

I just got a roam 2 into add airplay and Bluetooth capabilities to my play :1s. I think I have the roam 2 and play:1s grouped. they all play music together from the sonos app. But if I try to play music via Bluetooth or AirPlay (like on my phone via Apple Music), the roam drops from the speaker group and plays alone. the whole reason I got the roam 2 was to be able to use Bluetooth with my system. Can someone help me? I’ve been looking at help articles but have not been able to figure it out. 

Removed Playbar soundbar replaced with Arc.  Can’t get surround play1 speakers to respond

Hi everyone, I’ve been doing some sound tests with my Sonos Arc Ultra + Sub Mini + two Ones setup and noticed something interesting.When I use the Netflix app directly on my Samsung Q95T TV, the Sonos app reports Dolby Multichannel PCM 5.1.When I use Netflix on my Apple TV 4K (3rd gen), Sonos reports Dolby Digital 5.1 instead.On the TV, HDMI audio is set to Auto (no passthrough option available), and HDMI eARC is enabled.To my ears, the audio from the TV’s built-in Netflix app sounds more “powerful” compared to the Apple TV. So I’m wondering:Which format is technically better: Dolby Multichannel PCM 5.1 or Dolby Digital 5.1? Is one higher quality than the other? Are there any settings I should tweak on the TV or Apple TV to get the best possible audio?

I was playing an app from my IPad and the blue light started blinking. All the sudden the iPad was kicked off and a song from someone else’s device started playing and I couldn’t control it. I reconnected my IPad and it didn’t happen again. please help.  

Until recently this was working just fine.  So if I said ‘Hey google, turn on the lights’, it would ONLY turn on the lights in the same room as the Sonos speaker who heard the request. But now it turns on ALL the lights in the house!!! If I say ‘Hey Google, turn on lounge lights’ this does work - but room awareness was working before!I’ve looked at other posts but nothing suggested works for me.  Is this a Sonos or Google issue? BackgroundI moved broadband suppliers last week, and their hub wouldn't let me use the same wifi password, which of course resulted in the Sonos devices going offline.  Using the app I updated new network on one of my devices (which worked fine) but mistakenly didn't click do this for other devices so they were removed from my sonos setup.  For each of them I had to factory reset & re-add to the network - which means re-adding Google assistant support again. But afterwards all working ok. Checked / Tried so far….Confirmed each Sonos device has a room name a

The app on my phone is up to date and I can now save the queue to a playlist but I still cannot  configure the app to sort my music library by album artist (which was supposedly reintroduced in the early December update).Any thoughts on why this seems to be missing?  

Can someone tell me how i can get the Sonus to always link to the TV as a source.I have two issues:when the TV goes into standby, and then is turned on again, the Beam does not seem to pick p the TV, and the sound goes through the TV speakers. I have to turn off the Sonos, and then turn it on again how do I toggle between streaming music and the TV. If I stream music, and then I want to switch back to TV, I can’t work out how to do thisI can’t see any setting in the app - I have a Sony Bravia  3 TV 

I do not see upgrade credit for my Play:5 Gen 1. Is this not supposed or an error on my account?

Spotify recently added Dolby Atmos for premium service customers. When I play music on my Sonos app is there an indication that Dolby Atmos is playing? I don’t see any indication that the song/album that’s playing is in DA. When I play music from Spotify app on my iPhone on bottom left it shows lossless, not DA.

Hi all, I’m having inconsistent volume control with my setup and would appreciate any advice. Equipment:TV: LG Nano866NA (2020 model)TV software: webOS 04.63.25Soundbar: Sonos Playbar (connected via optical)Remote: LG Magic Remote (also tested with brand new replacement) Issue:The LG on-screen volume graphic appears every time I press volume up/down, but the Playbar responds inconsistently from normal seating distance. If I stand close to the Playbar, volume works reliably. From the sofa, it misses presses intermittently. Everything worked perfectly for 5 years until around two weeks ago. Steps already taken: Replaced remote batteries Purchased and tested brand new LG remote Re-trained remote in Sonos app (removed and re-added) Set TV sound output to Optical only Full power cycle of TV and Playbar (unplugged 5+ minutes) Confirmed IR is being emitted via phone camera test Tested in different lighting conditions Checked no obstacles in front of playbar. Observations:TV always shows volum

I saw that my surrounds and sub were showing as not connected in the app and were just showing up as “product”. These were all working fine until very recently. The arc is still showing up but nothing else is. There is also no sounds coming from the surrounds when I am watching TV. I tried to reset the system and even did a full factory reset on each component including the arc. I started by re-adding the Sonos 1 SL’s each to the app followed by the sub. That worked fine and they were showing up. After I added the arc everything was still showing up happy in the app. Once I connected the surrounds and the sub to the arc they went back to showing as “product” and not being connected with no sound coming out. How do I fix this? It’s infuriating. 

Tried to buy the era 100. Not once but twice, first time I didnt sign in and was after playing with klarna was redirected back to my cart after purchase. So the money came out of my bank account but sonos says the purchase did not go through.Second time I signed in with my account, filled in all the information for shipping ect and went to pay with klarna and the purchase went through and it told me to go back to merchant. I go back to sonos and its literally showing the payment for me to pay again?So I was charged not one but TWICE for something that according to sonos is not an actual order. Just being held by my bank. Honestly so frustrated now I have to wait 30 days to get the money back after disputing with my bank. and will miss this sale and am out @ bunch of money for the next bit. Why have klarna as an option if the website is not properly set up? Don't know what to do honestly

Hello,I noticed the following issues just after upgrading my Ace headphones to the 3.9.9 FWPop artefacts from the ANC when working on my computer, it’s related to the ‘click’ sound of my mouse and to the keyboard keys sound. I get that issue with Adaptative ANC ON and OFF (I’m aware of the well knowed ANC pop artefacts with some specific sounds, but this one only appeard after the update)Audio artefacts when using aptX Adaptative in ‘low latency’ mode, it’s partially fixed by switching the bluetooth connection mode to “multipoint”, but i still get some artefacts from time to time. I’ve already performed a factory reset, but it didn’t help.Is there any where to downgrade the FW to the previous version ?Thank you.
