Used to use the Sonos app exclusively. Then as we all know Sonos threw us a bomb that messed up a lot of users. After reading the constant complaints and issues so many were having, I went with the SonoPhone and Clic apps. They worked fine and I didn’t do any Sonos update's for two years. Now, I listen to SoundCloud most of the time if not a movie. Lately, SoundCloud and Sonos weren’t playing well together and I threw in the towel. I downloaded / updated the Sonos app……and ..drumroll 🥁🥁…. the Sonos app has been great and SoundCloud is perfect once again . Now I have a question..can one have the option “ No Content “ in a room , or will it always show music or tv?

Please add a setting in Sonos Voice Control that lets users enable or disable the spoken announcement before music starts playing.Currently, when using Spotify, Sonos Voice Control announces the song title and artist before starting playback. With Apple Music, playback can start immediately after the confirmation sound. It would be useful to have a simple option such as:Announce song before playbackOn OffIdeally, this setting could apply per music service.Personally, I would prefer Spotify playback to behave like Apple Music: voice command → confirmation sound → immediate playback, without Sonos reading the track information aloud.Since the Spotify announcement is already handled by Sonos Voice Control, this seems like something that could be exposed as a user preference.Thanks.

I have multiple users on my system. Sonos says to log in to get the full experience.   Does another user need to set up their own account then log in on the app which is connected to my system or do the need to use my login credentials?

I am new to the community. I am having an issue with the Music Library and I hope someone can help or explain. i have some CDs that I have ripped that are Sampler CD compilations. I have a number of CDs that I had picked up at various audiophile shows that are sponsored by hifi manufacturers. As an Example, NAIM handed out a CD which contains various artists and tracks. When I index this CD to the library each track is separated from the normal track list and is individually listed in the Artists section. How can I fix this so that these kind of CDs are treated like a normal CD where all the tracks are listed in order?

I know this may sound controversial but I find my Sonos Ray more full bodied in voices compared to the beam 2 which I also have. This is normally experienced during regular TV broadcast, news etc. Voices have a bit more umph and clairty whereas the Beam is cleaner and neutral, well almost flat if you will. Make no mistake, when playing proper Dolby Atmos or 5.1 with some fat “hollywood mixing” the beam is miles ahead. But maybe 85% of the time I just watch the news, stream documentaries, series and listen to people talk. Was is overkill to get the Beam?Bascially what I am missing is a richer, warmer sound in the voice frequencies. Earlier I only had the Beam but now I also have the Ray and can do real comparisons using same TV, same room, same settings and what not. I have also used Trueplay on both. The Ray is consistently more “bassy” and rich wheras the Beam is a bit flatter. According AI (sorry) this might be due to the signal but also design and purpose of the two soundbars. The Ra

Hello, I take the liberty of asking you because I have a fairly well-known problem that I can't solve.I bought a Sonos Arc Ultra and 2 Era 300 and here is my equipment:-LG OLED 65C1- Panasonic UB820 Blu-ray Player-PS5-Apple TV 4KOn my Panasonic UB-820 player, Dolby Atmos and Dolby Digital work perfectly but DTS-HD does not convert to PCM 5.1, it is indicated in PCM Stereo! My PS5 can convert DTS audio to LPCM 5.1, and it sounds great! Can anyone help me with this problem? Thank you.

I am trying to reset my Sonos Connect to WiFi after updating my local network. I follow instructions on the Sonos Ap on my iPhone to the point where it tries to joint the temporary network “SONOS.”  But I get a message “unable to join “SONOS.”  Any ideas what I am doing wrong or how to proceed?

I’ve done the factory reset on my connect amp, and it still will not connect to my existing system

When I’m using Spotify connect and I switch song, I have to press two times for it to play. If I press one time it just restarts the song that’s currently playing, then I have to press again for it to play the song I want. Happens to all the speakers.

Hi folks, ive brought a new place and the previous owner left 2x Sonos play:5 speakers. I’m trying to reset them but there is no ‘play’ button on the top of them or ‘join’ button on the back. what can I do??

I am trying to figure out options for placing the arc ultra soundbar. There is no space underneath the tv. I feel I have to go above and read that you shouldn’t hang it upside down because you can’t change left right. I think the only real option is just above the tv. I know it fires up but I don’t know what else to do. Will it sound bad above the tv? The floor to tv bottom is 48 inches. Tv is 36 inches. Top of tv to ceiling (wall slopes to cieling) is 20 inches. Room is not terribly big and we sit about 9.5 feet from the tv. Thanks in advance.

Just as the title says.  I know at one point, long ago I had this working.  I have network drops at my Amp, and ARC and both of my subs.  I want to hard wire all of them into the Ethernet ports and then turn Wifi off on the Arc, Amp, and both Subs.  I was able to get the Wifi turned off on my Arc, and then add my Sub, but now that the sub is added to the Arc I don’t have the option to disable Wifi on the Sub.  And the “Disable Wifi” on the Arc is checked but greyed out.   Can I hard wire everything and turn off Wifi?  If not, what is the point of the Sub even having an Ethernet port?

Since the August 10, 2026 Build 88.00.43-release+20260804.fcdf713 update to the Sonos App the EQ Shortcut on Now Playing Volume controls does not work with Stereo pair One SL or original Sonos Arc. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the app with no luck.I have rebooted all Network devices including the WiFi routerI have removed power from all Sonos devices then powered them back up again. No Luck

Hello, I appreciate that similar topics to this have been listed, but none seem to cover my experiences. An album recently downloaded (with iTunes) was Madonna’s Confessions II_Afterhours edition. It contains 16 tracks on on disc 1 and 6 extras on disc 2. Over the 22 tracks, 15 are solely by Madonna and 7 with different collobrating artists.Within Sonos when I search by artist Madonna, then select confession II album, just the 15 Madonna only tracks are listed.  The other tracks are separetely listed us Madonna plus the collobrating artist. Similarly when I search by albums there are seven listings for that album.  Looking at the properties in itunes there are fields “Album Artist” which in all cases was Madonna, & “artist” which is Madonna plus the collobrating artist. This data is seen using windows file explorer as Album artist (Madonna) & Contributing … (Madonna plus collorating artist). Within Sonos the data in the artist field is Madonna plus collobrating artist. There is

Hi!For several years I have had group-play with Amp, Port, Connect, and 2xRoam enabled.  Has worked great until a firmware update in May (or June) this year.  After that, whenever I add the Amp to the group it shows as all are playing, but the Amp isn’t.  The other units are playing fine.  All devices are up-to-date when it comes to firmware.  I have had high hopes for the recent firmware updates, but no luck there.Sonos Amp: BathroomSonos OS: S2Version: 18.7 (build 96179270)Hardware Version: 1.24.1.12-2.2Series ID: A101 Does anyone else have this issue?  If so, is there a solution? Moderator Edit: Removed serial number.

Here’s a strange one that has got me puzzled.I had a Stevie Wonder album on my NAS but when I went to play it the other day there was only 1 track showing, but listed 3 times.I deleted it from the NAS and re ripped it no problem but when I went to play it, it was still 1 track 3 times. I have even tried deleting it and updating the library via SonoPad app as the Sonos one seems not to work, and then ripping it again.Anything obvious going on please?

Play 3 back on line.

My system wax playing find then just stopped wireless connection didn’t change and speakers are showing connected music is selected and indicates it is playing but absolutely no sound coming out of speakers

XGIMI Horizon Ultra + Sonos Arc Ultra: Dolby Atmos stuttering with 30 m AOC HDMI cableThe idea was to create a home cinema with a decent projector and decent sound, including Dolby Atmos. The projector is an XGIMI Horizon Ultra, and for the sound system I have two Sonos Era 100s and a Sonos Arc Ultra. The difficulty with this setup is connecting the projector and the Arc without having a visible cable running across the room. The projector is on the back wall, while the Arc is on the opposite side of the room. The only way to hide the cable is to run it through a lowered ceiling and the technical room.I estimated the required cable length to be around 19 meters. To be safe, I decided to order a 30-meter HDMI AOC (Active Optical Cable) that is eARC-certified. Since the cable is optical, I assumed the additional 10 meters wouldn't be an issue. However, before installing the cable behind the wall/ceiling, I tested it in my living room. To my surprise, the sound constantly stutters.Things I h

I’m hoping someone on the Sonos Community can help me identify a very frustrating problem. My Living Room TV Sonos soundbar repeatedly starts playing Absolute Radio by itself during the early hours of the morning, waking us up. The Samsung TV is switched OFF when this happens.I have checked the following:No Sonos alarms are set. No voice assistants are connected. No iPhone Shortcuts/automations. No Apple Home automations. The soundbar is not AirPlay compatible. Sleep Timer is OFF. The station being played is Absolute Radio. I have submitted Sonos diagnostics while the problem was occurring. And they reset my App on Saturday but it is still happening.Diagnostic references (incase SONOS technical support see this):[redacted]The system also includes a Virgin Media TV box connected to the Samsung TV via HDMI, so I am now wondering whether HDMI-CEC/Anynet+ or the Virgin box could somehow be triggering the Sonos.Has anyone experienced Sonos starting Absolute Radio by itself in the middle of t

I’ve kind of given up but in one last ditch attempt to nail this I’m going to describe my problem and see if i’m missing something stupid. So trying to add a Music Library to SONOS using the Android App (S2 - Build 88.00.43)The library lives on an Asustor AS5202T NAS driveIt’s in a public share //AS5202T-852D/Public/Music with login and passwordI can access the share from my laptop. I can also access it on the Android Phone using “My Files” and selecting Network Storage, picking it from available Network drives and entering the login/password credsThe Android phone is on the same network as the NAS (hence why it can see the share in “My Files”When I try and add the folder on the app i get an error that the share is no longer available.I’ve tried with the share name and with the IP, same issue for both. Triple tripe checked login and password are correct and re-validated that by disconnecting my PC connection and re-authenticating with the same creds and they work. I’ve configured the NA

I am having difficulty setting up my newly upgraded home network (UniFi) to properly use Sonos.Currently my Sonos devices are connected to my “secure” network, which (I’ve been told) is not very wise.My desire is to have all of my Sonos devices connect to my network wirelessly via a UniFi VLAN for IOT, which does not have access to any devices on my “secure” network.I have two UniFi WiFi Access Points in my home.I have several Sonos devices in my home.I have two Sonos Connects which I use to stream music to two personal stereo systems.  Currently, my two Sonos Connects are hard-wired to my home network, but they are each in the same room where my WiFi Access Points are located for future configuration.I have 1 pair of Sonos Play:5 speakers connected to my network wirelesslyI have 2 pair of Sonos Play:1 speakers connected to my network wirelesslyI have attempted to set up my two Sonos Connect devices wirelessly but am experiencing problems getting all of my Sonos devices to work consist
