In the Sonos application I would like to add in my servicesan application to listen to music, how should I do it?Thank you

I‘m thinking of getting 6 ceiling speakers in my open living/dining/kitchen rooms (total 60m2). However, I‘m not sure how to place them. We have no TV in the living room and generally my wife wants background music. However, I guess a stereo setup if possible would still sound more lively. Please find the layout below and excited to hear your input. my idea so far:- 2 speakers left/right of the sofa, to have nice stereo listening sound in living room- 2 speakers continuing left/right of the dining table (left matching left of living room zone)- 1 speaker (having stereo) in the kitchen (also possible to place 2, but such a small space)or should I put 4 speakers in living room?Many thanks  

I have a Sonos Amp and a pair of Fives and recently purchased a new TV to replace a very old and outdated TV. The Fives sit either side of my new TV and I connected them to my TV via a Sonos Amp using the eArc Hdmi out from the TV into the HDMI on the amp (there are no hardwired speakers).The issue with this setup is that volume / mute from the TV remote only controls the Amp and is not tethered to the Fives so I have to use the S2 app which is super annoying. Speech can be a little unclear as well but the bass from the Fives is truly impressive. So I considered replacing the Amp with an Arc (not the Arc Ultra) but want to know the following:1. Will my TV remote pass the volume / mute to the Arc? 2. Can I connect the Fives so they act more like subs as the position of them is perfect for music listening and the Arc is likely limited in it's bass response? I really want to avoid having to add a sub when the Fives do such a good job. 3. Alternatively, given that, in the S2 app I can see

Have looked through a bunch of threads here and 1 thing I have come across are a lot of people that have had issues with NAS Drives,Music Library playing in a stable fashion on Sonos. Currently have about 900CD’s that was thinking of ripping onto a Drive so that it can be accessed via Sonos App. Is anyone doing this where it works flawlessly or is there another option that should be considered. Many of the threads I ran across were dated a year or more so I realize some of the mentioned issues may have been resolved by now. Thank You In Advance for any Input and AssistanceRob

Hello! I have an unusual issue with my Sonos speakers and Apple Music.I set separate alarms for each day of the week to wake me up to a different playlist. In the Sonos app, I specify that I want the playlist shuffled.This worked well with Spotify - each time the alarm started, it’d reshuffle the playlist in a different order. However, with Apple Music, I’ve noticed that the playlist is shuffled, but the order remains the same each time the alarm plays. For example, with a playlist of 50 items, each time it’ll start playing song 26, then 15, then 32, etc.Has anyone else noticed this? Is there anything I can do to change this behavior?Thanks!

I am looking to have the same music playing through the wifi network to numerous analog stereos in my house.  I have two stereos on either side of a large room so I am hoping there won’t be any delay.  I have another analog stereo in the garage and would put another elsewhere.  I prefer my analog powered stereos.  I am thinking of getting the Port, but I’m not going to buy 5 ports obviously.  The older Connects used are pretty affordable.  I was thinking of getting a port as my master and then just buying some used Connects.  Does that make sense?  I’m not interested in the speakers.  Does Port have passive units for other rooms/stereos just with rca outs?  Would the Connects work fine with the Port for this application?

What was something that happened a couple times in the past is now more serious. I live in a quiet neighborhood. There have been a few times in the past where I noticed that music was on outside and I just simply turned it off. I have a Sonos Amp connected to 6 outdoor Sonance speakers and a large sub as our ‘Backyard Sonos’. The volume was low, and it’s possible it was playing for days. I just hadn’t been in the backyard to hear it.There have also been a couple times when we noticed super loud beeping coming from the outside Sonos system. We noticed the backyard zone volume was set to 100%, but no music was set on that zone. I had to unplug it to reset it, because if I just moved the volume down it would just go back up. Again, this happened twice around 11 PM. It’s just my wife and I - we were in bed. There are no alarms set and no integration with stuff like Alexa or Google Home.It’s now almost 4:30 AM while I am writing this. I just woke up to my backyard Sonos blasting ‘Milky Chan

Hey, is anyone experiencing dropouts with E-arc?? Also, when it’s not dropping out, I’m only getting Dolby digital PCM 2.0 or 5.1. Dolby Atmos is not working. has anyone else experienced this since the last update?

I have a Sonos Ray connected to my tv.  When I switch from music with Sonos to the tv, I cannot control the sound with the tv controller.  I would like to remove the Ray from my Sonos system.  How to do that?

The Sonos app is not allowing me to enter any information under Line-in, Sources.  It says that Move 2 is “Not Connected” yet I have the iPod on and playing the 3.5mm jack into the DAC female to USB-C converter in place (purchased from the Sonos supplier as a compatible cable - a Baseus Type C Male to 3.5mm Female with built in DAC).The volume is up full on the iPod.I also tried it plugged into my laptop headphone output and it didn’t see that one either.Is there any way to configure the port without it seeing the connection so that I can play with the source level as some articles seem to indicate that this may be the issue?

I have several trhousand tracks which I converted from .wma to .flac, using the NCH Switch Sound File Converter app on Windows 11. The converted files appear to be playing on Sonos, but there is no sound.All ther files are within Sonos limits (44,100khz and 16-bit), and play perfectly well on my phone apps (Rocket Player and Pulsar), so are not corrupted.I have found that if I open one of the files in Audacity, then simpley export it back again, the file plays in Sonos.I have contacted the Sonos aupport team, and sent them a diagnostic while one of the tracks is playing, and they confirm multiple errors, so it appears that it is something to do with the Codec and how Sonos is interpreting it.I do not want to have to manually read and export every file via Audacity, so any suggestions using other software where I can perform a batch reconversion would be appreciated.

Sonos “Play” goes to sleep when not being used to conserve the battery. Is there any method remotely awakening it rather than having to push the “on” button the the speaker?

I have a wireless Play:1, a wifi router with a SIM connection, a wired raspberry pi (wired to the router), several wirelessly connecting laptops and several also wirelessly connected phones.The raspberry pi contains an mp3 library and the Sonos app on a phone correctly sees this library and also soundcloud and spotify is connected correctly to the Sonos app.The problem is that through the Sonos app if I play soundcloud or spotify all songs stop after 10-15 seconds and keep skipping.It’s not a bandwidth or speed or connection issue for sure because:From the same phone I can play the mp3 library on the raspberry pi which also connects to the Sonos Play:1 through the wifi router. So between the wifi router and the Play:1 the wireless connection is okay. On all laptops and phones, which are connected wirelessly to the wifi router we can stream netflix or any other streaming service. Hi everyone, I recently tried using my Sonos setup (Beam + two One SLs) as the main audio output while gaming on my console. The sound quality is great, but I’m noticing a slight delay between the on-screen action and the audio, especially in fast-paced games.I’m currently connected via HDMI ARC, and I’ve checked basic settings, but the lag is still noticeable. Is this a common limitation when using Sonos for gaming, or are there specific settings that can help reduce the delay? Would really appreciate any advice or setup tips.

Is it possible to install a Beam 2 soundbar at my mother-in-laws home, and still be able to control it with my Sonos app that I use at my residence for my Sonos products? We have multiple Port players deployed throughout our building, and some of them are connected using point‑to‑point wireless links.When we contacted support about scheduling music, we were advised to use the alarm feature and were shown how to configure it. We understand this is currently a workaround and not true scheduling. While it’s not ideal—especially for commercial environments—it does generally work.However, we recently ran into a serious issue.One of our point‑to‑point links went down, and during the scheduled time, half of the building began beeping nonstop. This caused a major disruption and understandably upset many users throughout the building.In an alarm scenario, this behavior makes sense—if there’s no internet, the alarm should still sound to wake someone up. But in a music scheduling context, this becomes a real problem. My Sonos Beam is connected into the HDMI ARC port of my Samsung Frame TV.The remote has been working just fine for the first few months a I’ve had the TV. I am using the standard Samsung Smart Control remote that comes with the TV.As of about a week ago (4/14/2026) the volume on the TV has stopped working when I click the  “volume up/down button on the remote.The remote otherwise works fine, but the volume/mute features are not working anymore. Someone please help.

 When I load an Amazon Music Unlimited playlist I created that has 498 tracks, why are a different amount of tracks loaded when using two different apps?  When I use Sonos S2, 400 of 498 tracks are loaded.  When I use SonoPhone all 498 tracks are loaded. If I load the 498 track playlist using SonoPhone the queue on Sonos S2 shows all 498 tracks.  Weird!

I have the arc and have the 2 ones and have 2 fives Is there a way to connect all 5 together to make a surround system all together?

I’ve added a ProJect turntable and preamp to my Sonos setup (two Play:5s and two Play:1s).  I get good sound quality by the volume is low. Here’s how I’ve set it up: I’ve routed the turntable through a pre-amp that’s connected to a Sonos Connect which connects wirelessly to my various speakers.  I’ve tried several amps, but the volume is always low, like a 3 or 4.  I’ve adjusted the volume levels on the turntable and the speakers to full volume, but still no luck.  Any suggestions?

Hi there! I am looking for easy to set up  speakers with easy streaming for a Yoga/Pilates Studio - with good and well balanced sound across the room. Ideally, the sound quality should be the same in the whole room and not sound “cheap”. The soundsytem doesnt have to be too loud, except maybe in the “power pilates” class i turn it up a little more, but still not like a “party” atmosphere, the instructors should still be heard over the music :)The room is ~45-50m2  (5,50 x 9m).  Height is around  2,70-2,80mOne of the longer side walls is glass. Should I go for 1 Era 300 or 2 Era 100s?(Or 2 Era 300s? But little out of budget tbh) And which placement would be ideal for the Era 300 vs 2 Era 100s?Thanks in advance, i dont know much about speaker system so anything helps at this point.  

Recently i upgraded my soundbar form a cheap generic to a beam 2 to use with my existing Era 300’s as surrounds.Initial set up seemed to go ok enjoyed a week of decent sound from my TV.Yesterday, my TV suddenly reset and I lost sound. When it started to work again, SONOS defaulted to playing music form spotify rather then the TV output. The only way i can get TV as default is to remove the surrounds from the set up (making them a different system). I now have only the beam connected to the TV, this isn’t ideal as i brought this to work alongside the Era 300’s.Sorry if this is rambling.SystemAmazon Fire series 4 TVSKY QBeam 2Era 300(pair)
