I’ve been playing around trying to diagnose a weird issue with my Roam. About 6-9 months ago, I started randomly getting issue with the Roam going into deep sleep mode and not waking up with the app or using a magic packet for Wake-on-LAN. I’ve been playing around with a few things and it seems to be related to the charge state. I keep my Roam in the bathroom most of the time and charge it from a USB power bank every few days. I’ve noticed that when the Roam has been charged from the power bank, it no longer responds through the app. I believe there is an ‘on-charge’ state flag being set that gets confused when the power bank goes to sleep after it’s completed its charge. This wasn’t an issue for the first two years I owned the device, so I believe it’s been introduced in a recent firmware. Let me give you some details:PC is a Windows 10I also use the desktop app to add my library and play music to my system.I added the Music path; albums and songs get indexed and are found under “Library”...but when I play from deskstop app, songs are not found.From my IOS app, I CAN play the music that was indexed from my Music folder to my sonos system!How can i get it to work from my desktop again??

Tidal suddenly stopped connecting to Sonos on me. It was working perfectly a couple of hours ago.What's happening:I'd left a playlist on repeat before heading out, expecting to come home to music still playing. Instead, playback had stopped — so whatever broke, it broke while the music was actively playing, not from some idle timeout. Now, trying to reauthorize Tidal in the Sonos app gives me a network error. I removed the Tidal service entirely and tried to re-add it — same network error, on two separate devices (phone and computer).What I've already ruled out:Not a Tidal account/subscription issue — Tidal works fine everywhere else: streaming through Chrome, no problem, and works perfectly through Tidal in my car. Not a general network issue — other services like TuneIn are working fine on Sonos, no changes made to my router or network setup before this started.So it really looks like it's the Sonos↔Tidal connection itself that's broken, not my account or my network. I’ve read through the website, and it still looks like that the new headphones can’t share audio (ie connecting 2 sets of headphones to 1 device). We use this all the time, so I was really hoping the updated headphones would support it. However, it looks like this still isn’t the case. Is this correct? If so, it looks like I will have to stick to other brands still

Does the Sonos Play portable speaker have a battery bypass or management system, if I leave it on the stand for a loooooong time does it bypass the battery after the battery is charged?

First I'll say that this system was awesome when I first got it and everything worked great for the first few months (though I've always found the app to be very clunky and tough to use). Then everything started to crumble.The connectivity between it and spotify is really bad/ not working at all at the moment.It won't hold a connection with the arc ultra. Can't figure it out. The sub audio drops out constantly. Can't figure it out. Linking speakers to the arc only sometimes works and only some of the speakers.The move 2 went rogue for a few days a month ago and after resetting multiple times seems to be working for now.  I have tried factory resetting every device and rebooting my router as all the forums say to do (multiple times). It's still not working. All the devices I have issues with are really close to the router. I'll probably have to make a call during business hours to resolve this? I'm absolutely pissed. What a waste of my time and money. You would think at the premium pric

A Sonos problem has cropped up today that I need your assistance with. My music files are stored on a Synology NAS and at present Sonos (as operated from both my Imac and my Iphone) has lost some of its contact with the NAS.  I can play NAS-contained files that are already in one of my playlists (by accessing the playlist and adding to the queue), but I can't scroll through my whole Music Library collection -- if I try to do this (Music Library -> click on Artists, Genres, Albums, etc.) , I get "No selections are available".  Also, in displaying a listing for a file (via the above-mentioned playlist method) instead of displaying the stored metadata title of the file, it displays the filename-plus-extension. Any assistance with these problems will be much appreciated!  -- Alan Rosenthal (Sonos user since 2005) 

Hi all, I’m not able to make my Sonos beam to make the sound from my fire tv 4K max 2026 to come out.i have a Kogan Roku tv 2023 4K.my Sonos is connected to the HDMI arc, fire tv to another hdmi and I tried everything I found but sound does not come out. do you have any suggestion or guide to follow?Thank you

So I guess that the new Beam Ultra will not have voice control using Google or Alexa?  I have to ask this, why does Sonos seem to struggle with what seems to be such small things that other companies have no issues with?  Maybe it is time for a more competent company to buy Sonos.

Sonos app geninstalleret og system genstartet flere gange. DR Lyd fjernet og tilføjet flere gange.Men stadig oplever jeg at udsendelserne er forsinkede. Frustrerende når man lytter til fx  afslutningen på en Tour de France etape som faktisk er afgjort Kan se at det er noget som har stået på i årevis. Er der virkeligt ikke en løsning i sigte?  

Spotify has randomly stopped working. I have reset my Sonos. I have reset Spotify. I have signed out of Spotify and re-sign into Spotify and nothing is working. It randomly stops working, will not connect, skips songs mid play, stutters, and speakers lost syncing with each other cause the sound to be salted per room. It will play Pandora and every other type of station that I have on here, but Spotify is the only service I have issues with. Is there a workaround to make it start working again? Is it an issue with Spotify or an issue with Sonos not being able to talk to Spotify? Is there a fix in the works to make this a better experience? Or is there an upgrade coming so that it stops doing this? It’s really frustrating and why have a Sonos system when I can just use a Bluetooth system?

Hello, I recently purchaseed a new hp laptop running windows 11.  I have the sonos 2 app on my android phone.  I did share the folder, made the changes in the firewall, etc.   The music folder is on my laptops hard drive.  The network path is:  \\RSL-NEW-HP-OMNI\MusicWhen I hit “add shared folder” from the Sonos 2 app on my android phone and input the above network path I get the following error message:  “\\RSL-NEW-HP-OMNI/MUSIC is no longer available.  This library’s device may not be powered on, or the path mayh have changed”.I still have the folder \\SCOTTNEWLAP/MUSIC in my folders from my old laptop which is no longer working and has been destroyed.Any suggestions to remedy this situation would be greatly appreciated.Thanks!  Scott

Since the recent Amazon service update, the Desktop app has a blank line instead of “Albums”.Amazon Music / Collections / LibraryThis is because Amazon’s presentation map uses invalid StringId values here:It should not be using StringIds here, it should be using tokens of “title” or “artist”. Once the pmap is fixed, the Desktop app will work normally. (Other DisplayType entries have similar errors).

I love the new products and enhancements recently announced. Great stuff.BUT, it has been a year since local library indexing was broken. When are we going to see some movement on this? It is just crazy that this isn’t on someone’s radar as a priory to get fixed.I know Sonos employees don’t frequent this community, but it sure would be nice to get some feedback that this is going to get fixed.

I've gone through all the universal control settings on my LG TV and selected optical and Sonos as the manufacturer. I've turned off SIMPLINK (LOL btw) and auto device detection. I've successfully gone through the remote control setup (TV had to be off to get that to work) on the Sonos app. The LG "magic remote" just refuses to work when the TV is on. Why would LG make it specific to the point you can select Sonos as the manufacturer if it just reverts back to RF/WIFI or whatever when the TV is on? I found some trick that if you hold the back and home button for 5 seconds it disconnects the remote smart features, at which point it does actually change the Sonos volume, but then the remote just reconnects when you hit okay. Am i doing something wrong or is this just a lost cause?

Recently Played seems to have disappeared from the Home screen, and no way to recover it - anybody know why/how to recover? I find this one of the most useful features when ‘channel hopping’ over my favourite radio stations.

We recently built a patio cover and wanted to add some speakers. Having some experience with early Sonos speakers and still using my old play 3’s inside I decided to go with two ERA 300’s for outside. They are great as music speakers! We then added a TV outside and that’s when I thought, why not play my tv through my new ERA 300’s, only to find out it’s not that easy… So my question is, how do I use my already mounted ERA 300’s as TV speakers, NOT as surround speakers. If I add a Beam Gen 2 will that send the audio signal to them as just stereo or a mono signal? Or do I need something like a bridge? I also see the newest Beam is available for pre order, will that work instead? Any help is appreciated!

I have 20 ft ceilings in my bathroom - the bathroom is 10 x 14 it’s basically an open box, but I have a “shelf” about 10 feet up and goes around two thirds of the bathroom.  I have a mini sub and two Era 100 SL speakers in the bedroom right outside the bathroom.  I wanted advice on if I should get the Era 300 and put it on the “shelf” in the bathroom for a fuller sound?  I put one of the Era 100 speakers in the bathroom and it sounds hollow….  I guess I can put the two Era 100 SL’s in the bathroom….  But then I I’d have to get two more speakers for the bedroom….   I’m open for any advice.  

Why doesn’t my tv remote control all my devices?if I turn on (utilize) all my speakers and use my tv remote (Samsung), it only changes the hdmi wired Beam. The tv control will change volume up/down and mute.  The side speaker have to be adjusted through the Sonos app.

I am looking to purchase turnable bundle with era 100 can i group with a pair of roams to send sound to all three and have stereo separation on the roams?

A recent update completely broke it for me, i don’t do streaming, i buy the albums i want (this works best for me).  As of the recent update (i don’t know which update exactly as i hadn’t listened via sonos for a couple of months):I i select the Amazon service followed by library fllowed by Albums i get all the albums in a random order (possibly purchase order?) and no way to sort, this is next to useless when you have several hundred albums If I click on an album i expect to get the tracks on the album (always have up to now) but all i get is the option to play that whole album, no tracks are listed at all. Related to the above some (seemingly not all) albums will then shuffle other songs not in that album into the album (text states “Shuffled with similar songs. I'm trying to add a shared music folder from my Windows 11 PC (hostname: DESKTOP-I92FCEI) as a Music Library source in the Sonos app, so I can play it through my Sonos Port. I consistently get an error stating the computer/path cannot be found, regardless of the exact path format used.What I've already tried, with no success:Verified the folder is properly shared on the network (share name "d", full path D:\Ma musique), with correct read permissions. Confirmed my computer's network profile is set to Private (not Public). Enabled Network Discovery and File/Printer Sharing under Advanced Sharing Settings. Checked Windows Firewall rules — allowed "Sonos Desktop Controller" and "Sonos Library Service" for both Private and Public profiles. Confirmed no third-party firewall is active (only Malwarebytes, which has no firewall component).
