I know this may sound controversial but I find my Sonos Ray more full bodied in voices compared to the beam 2 which I also have. This is normally experienced during regular TV broadcast, news etc. Voices have a bit more umph and clairty whereas the Beam is cleaner and neutral, well almost flat if you will. Make no mistake, when playing proper Dolby Atmos or 5.1 with some fat “hollywood mixing” the beam is miles ahead.But maybe 85% of the time I just watch the news, stream documentaries, series and listen to people talk. Was is overkill to get the Beam?Bascially what I am missing is a richer, warmer sound in the voice frequencies. Earlier I only had the Beam but now I also have the Ray and can do real comparisons using same TV, same room, same settings and what not. I have also used Trueplay on both. Hello, I take the liberty of asking you because I have a fairly well-known problem that I can't solve.I bought a Sonos Arc Ultra and 2 Era 300 and here is my equipment:-LG OLED 65C1- Panasonic UB820 Blu-ray Player-PS5-Apple TV 4KOn my Panasonic UB-820 player, Dolby Atmos and Dolby Digital work perfectly but DTS-HD does not convert to PCM 5.1, it is indicated in PCM Stereo!My PS5 can convert DTS audio to LPCM 5.1, and it sounds great!Can anyone help me with this problem? I am trying to reset my Sonos Connect to WiFi after updating my local network. I follow instructions on the Sonos Ap on my iPhone to the point where it tries to joint the temporary network “SONOS.”  But I get a message “unable to join “SONOS.”  Any ideas what I am doing wrong or how to proceed?

When I’m using Spotify connect and I switch song, I have to press two times for it to play. If I press one time it just restarts the song that’s currently playing, then I have to press again for it to play the song I want. Happens to all the speakers.

Hi folks,ive brought a new place and the previous owner left 2x Sonos play:5 speakers. I’m trying to reset them but there is no ‘play’ button on the top of them or ‘join’ button on the back. what can I do?? 

Just wondering how the Era100 pairs with the Ray 

I am trying to figure out options for placing the arc ultra soundbar. There is no space underneath the tv. I feel I have to go above and read that you shouldn’t hang it upside down because you can’t change left right. I think the only real option is just above the tv. I know it fires up but I don’t know what else to do. Will it sound bad above the tv? The floor to tv bottom is 48 inches. Tv is 36 inches. Top of tv to ceiling (wall slopes to cieling) is 20 inches. Room is not terribly big and we sit about 9.5 feet from the tv. Thanks in advance. 

Unable to connect to multiple music sources : BBC Sounds, Spotify, TuneIn.   All with error message “Unable to browse music - There was a problem connecting to”.   Some service do work however: Sonos, Absolute Radio, Times Radio.  Plex errors with  - “No Plex media server available”Also unable to add Music Services.  Clicking on icon with no progression.Unable to update - “The Sonos controller installer failed to download - Error Code 42” IMPORTANT - Services all work when accessed via iphone but not MacBook  

Just as the title says.  I know at one point, long ago I had this working.  I have network drops at my Amp, and ARC and both of my subs.  I want to hard wire all of them into the Ethernet ports and then turn Wifi off on the Arc, Amp, and both Subs.  I was able to get the Wifi turned off on my Arc, and then add my Sub, but now that the sub is added to the Arc I don’t have the option to disable Wifi on the Sub.  And the “Disable Wifi” on the Arc is checked but greyed out.   Can I hard wire everything and turn off Wifi?  If not, what is the point of the Sub even having an Ethernet port?

Since the August 10, 2026 Build 88.00.43-release+20260804.fcdf713 update to the Sonos App the EQ Shortcut on Now Playing Volume controls does not work with Stereo pair One SL or original Sonos Arc. I have uninstalled/reinstalled the app with no luck.I have rebooted all Network devices including the WiFi routerI have removed power from all Sonos devices then powered them back up again. No Luck

Hello, I appreciate that similar topics to this have been listed, but none seem to cover my experiences. An album recently downloaded (with iTunes) was Madonna’s Confessions II_Afterhours edition. It contains 16 tracks on on disc 1 and 6 extras on disc 2. Over the 22 tracks, 15 are solely by Madonna and 7 with different collobrating artists.Within Sonos when I search by artist Madonna, then select confession II album, just the 15 Madonna only tracks are listed.  The other tracks are separetely listed us Madonna plus the collobrating artist. Similarly when I search by albums there are seven listings for that album.  Looking at the properties in itunes there are fields “Album Artist” which in all cases was Madonna, & “artist” which is Madonna plus the collobrating artist. This data is seen using windows file explorer as Album artist (Madonna) & Contributing … (Madonna plus collorating artist). Hi!For several years I have had group-play with Amp, Port, Connect, and 2xRoam enabled.  Has worked great until a firmware update in May (or June) this year.  After that, whenever I add the Amp to the group it shows as all are playing, but the Amp isn’t.  The other units are playing fine.  All devices are up-to-date when it comes to firmware.  I have had high hopes for the recent firmware updates, but no luck there.Sonos Amp: BathroomSonos OS: S2Version: 18.7 (build 96179270)Hardware Version: 1.24.1.12-2.2Series ID: A101 Does anyone else have this issue?  If so, is there a solution? Moderator Edit: Removed serial number.

Here’s a strange one that has got me puzzled.I had a Stevie Wonder album on my NAS but when I went to play it the other day there was only 1 track showing, but listed 3 times.I deleted it from the NAS and re ripped it no problem but when I went to play it, it was still 1 track 3 times. I have even tried deleting it and updating the library via SonoPad app as the Sonos one seems not to work, and then ripping it again.Anything obvious going on please?

My system wax playing find then just stopped wireless connection didn’t change and speakers are showing connected music is selected and indicates it is playing but absolutely no sound coming out of speakers 

XGIMI Horizon Ultra + Sonos Arc Ultra: Dolby Atmos stuttering with 30 m AOC HDMI cableThe idea was to create a home cinema with a decent projector and decent sound, including Dolby Atmos.The projector is an XGIMI Horizon Ultra, and for the sound system I have two Sonos Era 100s and a Sonos Arc Ultra.The difficulty with this setup is connecting the projector and the Arc without having a visible cable running across the room. The projector is on the back wall, while the Arc is on the opposite side of the room. The only way to hide the cable is to run it through a lowered ceiling and the technical room.I estimated the required cable length to be around 19 meters. To be safe, I decided to order a 30-meter HDMI AOC (Active Optical Cable) that is eARC-certified. Since the cable is optical, I assumed the additional 10 meters wouldn't be an issue.However, before installing the cable behind the wall/ceiling, I tested it in my living room. I’m hoping someone on the Sonos Community can help me identify a very frustrating problem.My Living Room TV Sonos soundbar repeatedly starts playing Absolute Radio by itself during the early hours of the morning, waking us up. The Samsung TV is switched OFF when this happens.I have checked the following:No Sonos alarms are set. No voice assistants are connected. No iPhone Shortcuts/automations. No Apple Home automations. I’ve kind of given up but in one last ditch attempt to nail this I’m going to describe my problem and see if i’m missing something stupid.So trying to add a Music Library to SONOS using the Android App (S2 - Build 88.00.43)The library lives on an Asustor AS5202T NAS driveIt’s in a public share //AS5202T-852D/Public/Music with login and passwordI can access the share from my laptop. I can also access it on the Android Phone using “My Files” and selecting Network Storage, picking it from available Network drives and entering the login/password credsThe Android phone is on the same network as the NAS (hence why it can see the share in “My Files”When I try and add the folder on the app i get an error that the share is no longer available.I’ve tried with the share name and with the IP, same issue for both. Hello,When I am streaming in the dedicated app from Deezer (Iphone, Mac etc), it’s shows FLAC (HIFI).But I just integrated Deezer in my Sonos App, it does not show the quality it is streaming with. Is there any way to see, when it is playing in the highest quallity (FLAC)?My Apple Music is showing Lossless or Dolby Atmos in the App, but Deezer nothing.Anybody?

My private saved/built Sonos playlist does not play my saved songs from Amazon Music.   I can go into Amazon music in the Sonos app and play all the same songs that are grayed out in my private Sonos playlist.  My personal playlist with Amazon Music songs is the problem.  I’m been working with Sonos Help Customer experience for the last week.  They seems to be stumped.  I’ve removed, reset Amazon Music, refreshed network, etc.   

Is there a way to integrate for example a record player with the maximum supported bitrate on Sonos (24-bit / 48kHz)? It looks to me like every way to connect a record player samples it at 16/44.1. But maybe I am mistaking…
