Hi, I’m using a Sonos Beam Gen 2 connected to the HDMI 1 eARC port on an Alienware AW3225QF monitor. My PC is connected via DisplayPort and my PS5 Pro via HDMI 2.
The Beam works correctly once connected and audio passes through fine, but since enabling HDMI CEC/eARC, I’ve had a recurring issue where the monitor fails to wake after being left in standby. The monitor power LED stays on, but the screen is completely black and even the monitor’s own OSD/joystick menu won’t appear.
The only way to recover it is to disconnect the monitor from power and all cables, fully discharge it, then reconnect everything.
I’ve updated the AW3225QF from M2B106 to M2B110, factory reset it, enabled DDC/CI and HDMI CEC, and I’m using the HDMI cable supplied with the Beam.
Before adding the Beam/eARC setup, I used the monitor for around a year without this issue.
With the Beam and PS5 disconnected and the PC running over DisplayPort only, the monitor enters standby and wakes normally.
Has anyone used a Beam Gen 2 with the AW3225QF and seen similar eARC/CEC standby lock-ups? Is there a known fix, recommended setting, or alternative way to connect the Beam without causing this behaviour?
