I work in a corporate building and have been changing between using Auracle and Spotify on the Sonos music app. I found that sometimes the Sonos speakers just stops playing the music on Spotify and resets the queue back to the first song. I spoke to the customer service who said that there is somebody else using the Spotify account, however we only have this Spotify access through the Sonos account and so I cannot “sign all out” or change the Spotify password. I also suspect that because this is my workplace that nobody else is connected to it. Some days it wont work at all, whilst on other days its fine all day. Is there a limit to the amount of tracks I can listen to on Spotify through Sonos? How can I stop this from happening as its really annoying.

Another issue please help!!!my Beam is working but now my era 300 won't link if tick both speakers and press apply the beam goes silent, I did have them work on the first day but next day no link, why is it so hard to link? 

Am i being petty regarding my Sonos Arc Ultra having it grill holes not aligned? Moderator Edit: Corrected “pity” to “petty”.

Is there anyway of setting up my home Sonos system ( linking all speakers together ) without clicking on the button on the back of the Sonos one . My Sonos one is in a casing / mount that I can’t remove ? Any help would be great please ? 

I’m using the S1 controller and I have a play one and a play three. I have the iOS app on ver 26. I’m trying to add a second play one but in the app when I go to add a device, the app tells me it needs to update and it wants me to get the Sonos app.  I’ve tried deleting the S1 controller app and re-downloading it  I’ve tried checking for updates in the S1 controller app  But no matter what I do, it won’t let me add a device because it insists the app needs to upgrade to the Sonos app how do I get the S1 app to quit forcing an upgrade and simply let me add a new device ? 

Just purchased my first Sonos speaker (ERA 100), downloaded the Sonos app to add Rayo to Sonos but Rayo does not show in the list of connected services. Any help out there, have chatted to someone via the app to no avail.

I had no idea I needed to be a network engineer in order to set up my Sonos system on my computer.  I am just an ordinary computer user and I am trying to set up my music folder so I can listen to music I have on my computer.  I get a very not useful error message when I try to do this through the standard application for adding my music folder.  I have researched this on line and get very high level explanation that it is a file sharing issue or an outdated SMB1 (whatever that means) and that I need to update my system to SMB2 or SMB3.  I have no idea how to do this and really do not have any clue what this is.  Does anyone out there have an easy to understand explanation for how to resolve my issue?  Ychs.  This seems very complicated to me.  Thanks in advance for any help. Moderator Note: Removed Personally Identifiable Information

Hi everyone,I am new with Sonos One speaker, recently I have connect the speaker to my office network and I can see it has taken an IP. From my Windows PC I want to use one of the speakers to play music, but after installing the Sonos App, the App cannot operate well, keep asking me to check for update, even it is already up to date.Mush appreciated if anyone of you experienced this issue before and had the solution, thanks!It is a fresh install and I even tried to clean uninstall and reinstall, but no help.Best regards,Werner 

Subscribed to Sonos Radio HD. the music quality and mix of music is good, the one thing letting it down is the constant station idents - “90 Mixtape on Sonos” being played. Why do I want that when im paying for a music service…. Really ruins the experience and caused me to instantly cancel. Assumed that on the free one you might get that but on one that is almost on par with the cost of Spotify/Apple Music and limited to the Sonos speakers (cant listen in the car, headphones etc...) and still just constantly being told what the playlist I selected is is just annoying. Sonos - Give the premium experience and dont ruin the atmosphere with station idents. Why would I want to use a Dinner Party Playlist for a dinner party when every few songs me and my guests are reminded we are listening to a Sonos Playlist…. 

I am running the S2 App on my iMac, i can play Sonos radio/Tunelm from my computer so I know the system is working.However when i try to add my music folder, so i can play my own music, I get to the administrator login and it keeps saying password or username is incorrect (I have checked that my credentials are correct by shutting down and restarting) I have followed every step I have found online regarding file permissions and firewalls, but I am still no further forward, the system has worked in the past, but its been so long I can’t remember when it last worked.

I see there are multiple threads on this but from 8 months ago.i recently bought my mother a Move 2 and set her up with Sonos voice so she doesn’t have to reach for her phone or iPod to start music.She doesn’t want Alexa or anything cloud based so the Sonos voice processing on the device etc made it an easier sell.. great I thought.She is in her 70’s and so wants to listen to bbc radio 4 most of the time but the ruddy thing started playing some random artist when I asked for radio 4, when I asked for bbc radio 4 it told me it couldn’t.I have read the replies on here and now understand it doesn’t work. 1 such comment was interpreted as a feature request, another was stating it was a bbc sounds incompatibility… given I have added bbc sounds to the Sonos app, so sonos know she has a valid account and the app can merrily play the bbc radio selections with no issue… I don’t understand why this isn’t a thing. Does anyone know how to connect the beam gen 2 andini sub to the Hisense tv hi concerto feature so all the tv speakers and Sonos can work together.

 I can't seem to get the S5 to be recognized by my Sonos system.  My setup: Playbar, Sub, One, One SL.  Controller OS: S2.I would like to add my zoneplayer S5 to this system.  Is it possible?  It used to work when I was using OS: S1.  I can no longer install the OS: S1 controller while OS: S2 is installed.  Any help would be greatly appreciated. 

Hi, I have recently upgraded my entire Home Cinema setup and am getting results I don’t fully understand.When I play Dolby Atmos content (media in local network, often DDP with Atmos) I get different results shown in te Sonos app depending on where I play it:Plex app, client on Sony TV (Google TV) → Sonos app displays “Dolby Atmos”  Plex app, client on AppleTV 4K (3. gen) → Sonos app displays “Multichannel PCM 5.1” My question:Is Sonos simply not ‘labelling’ the audio format correctly in the Sonos app when playing via AppleTV, or is the audio actually being ‘downgraded’ to 5.1 and the Atmos being lost?Just for context, my setup is Sonos Arc Ultra (connected to TV via HDMI, eARC) Sony Bravia 8 II Apple TV 4K (Plex server running on macmini, content stored on NAS)

I am getting Cannot be played - Encoding error on Apple Music Live Streams (Apple Music 1, Apple Music Hits/Club/Chill/Country). It's not an error with the service (works in anything non-sonos such as iPhone, Mac and HomePod. It's not bandwidth or these wouldn’t play. Only these stations are causing problems. Bug? Anyone at Sonos looking at it? Previous post mentioned an error on stream (if that was the case it wouldnt play on other devices surely?) or bandwidth, but I have a 1gbps connection, no other issues with any stream, atmos and lossless included, only these stations. 

This turntable is new but the rotation speeds (33 & 45) are not correct and the music/songs are really bad… What to do as there is no possibility of adjustment except changing the belt ? 

Hi,I have a problem with my Sonos 5. It seems there is no power altough I took a different outloet. I checked my wifi and there is no oroblem. It just doesn't want to start. What should I do ?Regards Marc

Hi the speech button is not responding on my Sonos one,  when pressing nothing happens, but it’s saying its connected,  and my other units are working fine,   Is it a fault with the device,  any ideas or suggestions appreciated 

I just got a Sonos Era 100 and successfully configured it to work on my network. Sometimes when I go into the app on my iPhone 13, however, it says it cannot find a Sonos product on my network. Sometimes if I leave the app alone for half a minute or so it will find find the speaker, but other times it just never finds it. I do have a couple of WiFi access points in my network, with different SSIDs than my main router, and I have the Sonos configured to use one of them in addition to the main router, but this problem occurs even when both the speaker and my iPhone are connected to the main router. Edit:I’m wondering if the app is trying to use too much information. For some reason it’s accessing the location, which makes no sense whatsoever, as the speaker certainly doesn’t know where it is. I have 2 Era 100 speakers setup as a stereo pair connected via WiFi. I’ve installed the Sonos skill on Alexa and gone through the setup process in the app. Everything works, but there seems to be a bug compared to an Amazon Echo device.  When I ask “Alexa, play the latest episode of NPR Up First”, the Alexa response is “You laying the latest episode of NPR Up First from Amazon Music” followed by the rather lengthy episode title; the episode is also laying at low volume in the background while Alexa reads the title. When she’s done with the title, either 1) the volume comes to normal, episode continues playing, but I’ve missed the start or 2) the episode stops being playing and I get silence or 3) the episode stutters then re-starts and plays.  I use this example because it’s most audible due to the long episode titles, but the same happens when I play music from Spotify; Alexa is reading the title while the song is already playing.  in contrast, on an Amazon Echo device, or the Alexa a

I'm experiencing a critical issue with the SmartThings integration on my Sonos Roam Gen 1 that appears to have been caused by a recent Sonos update.Issue Description:For months, I've been using a SmartThings automation to play white noise on my Roam Gen 1 using the 'play favorite item' action (typing the exact Sonos Playlist). This worked flawlessly until a recent Sonos update. Now, when the SmartThings automation triggers, no audio plays on the Roam. I have a system that has two ports; each controls a different area. Currently, neither port has a hard (i.e., RCA) input as it plays only via Spotify. Is there a way to bridge the two ports if I hook up an audio device (e.g., turntable or wireless audio receiver) to the RCA inputs of one port? I want to hook up the audio device but still have the signal play through both ports so it can be heard in both areas. Thank you in advance for any insights and help. 

I have 2 ERA 100 speakers, one in the master bedroom and one in the master bath. The WiFi is an original eero Pro configuration in bridge mode, with DNS/DHCP provided by a Linux server. The ERA 100s have been working great in this configuration for 2 years. Recently, however, the one in the master bath is no longer on WiFi, nor was it visible in the Sonos app.After resetting the device a couple of times I powered down ALL Sonos speakers (6 Shadow SLs, an Arc and a Playbar among them) and powered off ALL the eero Pro devices. I then brought the eero network back up and then re-powered all the Sonos devices, doing the ERA 100s last.ALL the speakers came back online problem-free EXCEPT the ERA 100s. I just went through the reset procedure on the master bedroom ERA 100 and the behavior is the same: The speaker comes online, I can see it get an IP address from my DHCP server. Last month I updated from an old Playbase to a new Arc Ultra. In my area we have unexpectedly had three power outages in the last month. After each outage when the power is restored the Arc Ultra has a blinking green or white light, and I have had to reset the bar from the factory settings all over again - three times. I have the power cord plugged into a surge suppressor. Is this normal behavior? There is no settings memory on this product?
