Received SONY headphones for Xmas.  I am unable to connect to my SONOS system.  Please tell me there is a way to connect.

My Sonos One’s are a pair, and have Alexa and Sonos voice control enabled. Asking for say ‘BBC Radio 4’ starts a service called 45 Radio (I have no idea why or even what it is). Speaking closely into the other speaker of the pair starts BBC Radio 4 no problem. I have tried removing voice services and re-enabling them doesn’t fix the problem. Please advise. Thank you. 

I have/had two good Sonos systems. One in Texas for nine years fabulous s1 products.  4 Pool side , surround inside subs etc in tv room and  master bedroom, master bath, office, etc.  added a “new” s2 to my Colorado home: extensive .    A family member traveled from on to the other and system said upgrade (similar to regular updates). And now my Texas s1 system is CRAP!  $10,000 investment destroyed by the new “upgrade” /combo of s2/s1 software.   can this be fixed?  Please help! 

I’ve got a Samsung smart monitor with an HDMI-Arc port connected to my Amp. I can get the TV connected via the app and I hear the chime, but no TV audio plays through the speakers. Line-In and regular music play fine. I’m using a very long 50’ HDMI cable because of my room configuration (been buying from Amazon to test and return if needed). This has been my second attempt with a similar cable. I read somewhere that 8K cables don’t send the same signals as lower rez-rated cables. These all have crazy name/ratings like “HDMI 2.1 Cable 50ft White 4K 8K Fiber Optic HDMI Cable [8K@60Hz 4K@120Hz, 48Gbps, Dynamic HDR, HDCP 2.2&2.3, 3D] Compatible with 4090, RX 7900 XTX, Monitor, PS5, Soundbar”. Also read that the length could be the culprit.Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC) is enabled. The cable says it is directional and I’ve switched both ends but still no change.Has anyone encountered a similar situation, either connection chime but no audio, or figured out getting proper sound while running a long

Wondering if it’s possible to use the optimize speakers option with non-Sonos in ceiling speakers and a Sonos amp.the speakers play the high pitched sound, but the app doesn’t pick the speakers up. Fails in multiple rooms. I was reading there as an update many months ago to fix a bug, but I am using the latest app and the amps are all updated.

I have had a Beam with Ones in a stereo pair working rock solid for a few years. I also have a Five and a Move 2 and have had no issues at all. I’ve just added 2x Era 100s and a Sub mini to my setup. The Era 100s are in a stereo pair with the sub in one room (my office)At least once a day, the stereo pair drops/breaks down, with music just coming from one Era 100. The only way i can get it back together is to power cycle the speakers. I use the Sonos app mainly to play music but occasionally use Airplay and my Connect+Turntable. I’ve not noticed any cause+effect with the chosen source and stereo pair drops.My office has the router located in it, so the wifi signal is full strength. I have no other issues with my network or speakers.Any ideas why this is happening and how i resolve it please?

I have seen an old post on here but my Sonos Move announces it will play a Radio  then go silent, only just started doing it.

I have installed a new Ray with two Play 1 surround speakers and paired the Samsung TV remote and all is working well including the remote volume control. But I have a question that relates to the remote and powering off the Sonos system.Does the Ray have the power on and off functionality and if it does should it power off when switching off the TV, if it should how is this configured ?

I’m experiencing intermittent dropouts with my Playbar (and surrounds) when playing music (from a NAS) or streaming radio. The audio will stop for around 20s then start again. - This can happen between 2-5 times within an hourIt doesn’t happen when watching TVAll of the wifi connections on the apps (Sonos, Deco and support matrix) all show strong/green.I have a TP deco mesh system and Sonos is wireless.I don’t experience the issue with other stereo pairsIt is not possible to hard wire the playbar, although I can hard wire a Play 1 (which is next to the main deco box), although I invested in the Deco mesh to solve previous SONOS issuesAny ideas?

I have move and have a new internet source how do I update my system to accept the new internet. It will not recognize my app. 

I have a LG oled48c44la TV which has a wired connection to a Sonos Beam working successfully.  I want to add 2 Sonos era 100 speakers to use as satellites, but they cannot be connected by wire.  Is there a way to play through the wired Beam connection and at the same time play wirelessly through the era 100s?

Der ligger 265 sange når jeg går ind i yousee musik appen og afspiller derfra.Men når jeg vil åbne samme liste i sonos appen, så kan jeg ikke se alle sangene.Jeg har prøvet at godkende kontoen igen, fjerne appen og installere den igen, prøvet at oprette en ny liste på yousee musik appen og tilføje sangene endnu engang, men jeg støder desværre på samme problem.Hvad kan man gøre?

When I open the Sonos app on a recently factory reset iPhone, and try to log in, it redirects me to the login.sonos.com website but I get a blank white screen. On the same phone if I go directly to the Sonos.com website and try to login I get the same blank white screen. I tried in Safari and Chrome cleared my cache, tried private browsing, turned off about 15 other security settings that I could think of. And nothing seems to work. Of course it works fine on my Android phone using Chrome browser. When it is being redirected a small letter I with a circle around it pops up or have a second so I'm sure there's still some security issue but the heck if I can figure out what it is.  It is an older iPhone for whatever that is worth.  Technical details.  Thing I have tried: -Verified JavaScript is Enabled in Safari Advanced settings.-Cleared Safari History and Website Data to remove corrupted cookies.- Attempted login via Chrome (including Incognito mode) with the same blank screen result.-

I have a secondhand sonos play 1 and amp and have done the factory reset but struggling to set up both units. I have downloaded the Controller ap as its an older version but it keeps prompting me to update the app to Play 2 when I have a play 1. How do I set up both units please? 

Hi, For about a 6-9 month now my sonos arc has been acting up. The sound suddenly disapear and I have to reset the entire county power grid to get it back. I have tried wired connection to my router and static IP. Also while playing from spotify there is a lottery if the music ever comes on. Imagine when you have some company over and is supposed to set the mood and you start fidgeting with “how the f*** do I get the music on this junk”.You cant cast music to the arc/”room” if the tv is not on. Really unstable system. I am trying to set up my playbar and use the IR to use with my new TV and remote.  When I try to connect with the app, the app does not let me log in.  It get stuck in the endless loop.  I have reset the playbar, I have reset the router, I have installed and uninstalled the app, I’m using android.  Is there any way to do this?  I have read and researched but none of the suggestions are working for me.  Any help is appreciated

Problem:Almost daily, my surrounds/sub all disconnect from the Arc Ultra and stop playing sound (thought he Arc continues working as expected). When this occurs, the app shows "Needs attention" for the Arc Ultra. Power cycling the Arc Ultra immediately resolves the problem for 24-48 hours.Setup: Soundbar: Arc Ultra (connected via Wi-fi) Surrounds: 2x Symfonisk Bookshelf Gen 2 surrounds Sub: Sub Mini Routers: Asus AX86U Pro + AX58U AiMesh Node Other Sonos speakers in the house use SonosNet via a single Symfonisk lamp that is wired to the router (does SonosNet play any part for the surrounds/sub in this setup?) HelloI have just purchased a pair of Ace headphones to go alongside my beam (gen 1 with 2x play 3’s and sub mini).I find that the volume on the headphones is very low and I end up listening to both music and swap at almost 100% but I read elsewhere that some people can’t listen above 20% as it’s too loud, i clearly have something wrong.The headphones are running the latest firmware as are the beam and subsequent hardware.  I listen to music through Amazon Music on an iPhone 16 pro max. I have unchecked the sound check button in the music settings and I have unchecked the limit max volume in the phones sound and haptics settings. I have also reset the Ace.Are there any settings I have missed?I struggle to talk on the phone due to a mental illness so without phoning I don’t know how to get this resolved? Is there an online chat? hoping someone can sort this.many thanksMark  

How do I set up Alexa voice commands with Amazon Music on Sonos?

I just bought the Sonos Beam Gen2 in December of 2025 and have it connected to my Samsung TV that I bought 5 years ago.  I went through the setup procedure and the sound quality is very poor especially from my Samsung Blu Ray player.  I used the HDMI cable that came with the Beam and it’s connected to the ARC connection on the TV.  I have to turn the volume on the Beam to over 50 so I can hear and understand what they’re saying especially on the Blu Ray player.  

I have a Sonos One unit, probably 5 years old, that I originally had in one room and moved to another. I changed the room in the app and inevitably it always switched back to the old room.I have tried factory resetting it twice and it still goes back each time. How is this so hard?Fun fact: Sonos software is so great that there’s actually no way to remove a device from your system in the app. 

A number of years ago, I set up a 3-speaker system in my living room of Play 1s. This xmas, I treated myself to a new speaker, this time an Era 100. I just opened the box (it’s been busy here) to learn that I can’t pair the Era with the Play speakers. The existing speakers are set up as one L-R pair of Plays and I wanted to pair the new Era 100 with an old Play to make another L-R pair. I probably should have read more carefully before ordering because it says you can only pair like speakers. Since I didn’t know that, I was thinking to return the Era but maybe there’s a way to connect them that I haven’t thought of. I’d appreciate any suggestions you may have. Thanks. 

After coming home from a month long vacation, my Sonos system shows it’s not connected. This has happened before. I purchased and used NordVPN. Last time I used ExpressedVPN. Every speaker shows not connected except for Move & Move 2, which connects and playing. I disconnected vpn on my iPhone and iPad when we got home today. All of my speakers should show up?

Happy New Year!I recently got a new Sonos system Era 100, I cannot seem to get the Pandora issue to connect and it seems I’ve troubleshot it all Location Address is in my profile rebooted router / internet logged in properly to pandora- even states that you are all set, but once it goes back to the Sonos app it says didn’t connect properly  restarted app multiple timeswhats next gang? Any assistance appreciated -newbie to the group! 

I have an Arc Ultra and a Sub 4.  Currently, the Arc Ultra is connected to the internet via a switch, and the Sub 4 is connected via Wi-Fi. I would like to hardwire the connection to the Sub 4.  Is it just a matter of connecting an ethernet cable from the switch to the Sub 4?  Are there any other steps I must take to complete the conversion?
