Recommendation for rears and sub based on my home layout (era 100 vs 300, sub 4 vs mini)

Hi all, I currently own the Sonos Arc Ultra and I am looking to add rears and sub to my living room set up.

I mainly watch Anime, Netflix original series and amazon prime movies. I will play music occasionally.

For the rears, I am torn between the Era 100s and 300s as my room layout is asymmetrical (one side is closer to the wall and the other leads to the hallway and rest of the house). My sofa is against the wall as well because my living room is small.

For the sub, I am torn between the Sub 4 and the Sub mini.

Assuming budget is not a concern, which set-up would give me the best audio experience (clear sounds and dialogue etc)? Appreciate your thoughts and input!

Planned position and floor plan below

Rears - red

Sub - blue

Arc Ultra - black

(TV and Sofa position cannot be swapped, my ceiling has cove lightings and a fan too)

With the open side the Sub 4 is likely to sound better, more able to fill the room. Where you have it may be good, the same side at the front might sound better, try both. Might try behind the couch too, that works for a number of folks.

With the surrounds so close the 300s are likely to sound better, giving you sound from both sides from the side firing drivers. The 100s you are more likely going to only notice one or the other if not seated dead center. Probably best on stands to give you a bit of flexibility in positioning them. Again, try moving them around a bit and go with what sounds best, don't hesitate to pick a less than technically perfect position that sounds better.

Your post asks “Assuming budget is not a concern, which set-up would give me the best audio experience”. Era 300’s and Sub4 will give you that. For your room layout, they are probably the better solution, too. You might consider wall-mounting the Eras rather than putting them on floor stands as suggested by @Stanley_4
