Hi,I have a Sonos Ray and Samsung UE32F6000F, without optical port and have purchased the Sonos HDMI to Optical adapter.I have switched the “eArc” setting on in the menu and connected the HDMI port to the one labelled eArc on the back of the TV.I am unable to get the two to connect using the Sonos app and nor does the TV recognise a speaker has been connected.I have noticed the optical cable end does not glow red when connected to any device (the TV, a laptop etc). I have also tried 3 other HDMI cables.Any ideas/tips?Thanks

Hello, I’m running various Sonos zones throughout my home via Sonos Amps (9 of them) which power speakers in different rooms.  Since installation, I’ve always played music just fine via Airplay connection to the speakers throughout the home.  The issue I’m experiencing is that I’d like to add the Sonos Amps to Apple HomeKit so that I can run automations to play music at certain times, and also direct Siri to play from a Homepod or Phone to one of the Amps.  As I go through the process in Apple Home to add an accessory, all of the amps show as options to integrate, but the process continuously fails.  I’ve rebooted all amps.  I’ve rebooted my router and other smart home hubs. All amps show as an accessory ready to be integrated into Apple Home.Airplay error shows even though the Amps DO work via regular airplay playback from any device in the home.After clicking “Ok” on the Airplay failure, this message from HomeKit shows. 

Why is there no Android widget support? When will this be rectified? I assumed I'd done something wrong or that there was some obscure issue with the Fold 7. I'm astounded after coming here and reading multiple year old threads that widget support had disappeared, this is frankly unforgivable for a media streaming product.  

After purchasing our products to create our Surround System and downloading the app, we are getting emails in a language we cannot read (not sure what it is). None of the support categories are pertinent. How to change it? I want to receive any important information so I don’t know if unsubscribing will be detrimental, but getting the emails in a language I cannot read are useless.Any suggestions?

When I select Everywhere in the app to have all speakers connect.  The Arc does not connect while One and OneSL do  !??!

For security reasons I want to move all my Internet of Things (IoT) devices, including my Sonos speakers and Arc soundbar, off my main wifi network and onto a guest (vlan) network. Sonos documentation states that Sonos speakers must be on the same network as the device that runs the Sonos controller app. That’s a problem for me, since I want my iPad to be on my main wifi network, not on my IoT network. Is there any way to adjust my router settings so that the Sonos controller app on my iPad can see the Sonos speakers on the IoT network? All my other IoT devices work this way by default. So I’m hoping it is possible for my Sonos speakers too.

I just set up my new Samsung TV with a new Sonos Amp.  I also connected external speakers for TV using the eARC HDMI connection so I could listen to TV through my Sonos on external speakers.  I noticed that the TV would not let me select TV audio through this configuration.  Every time I tried to select TV audio through the TV settings, the TV audio would come on for a couple of seconds and then immediately over ride my selection and reconnect to external speakers.  I called Sonos...they pointed the finger at Samsung.  I called Samsung...they pointed the finger at Sonos.  Surprise..surprise.  I tried unplugging everything and reconnecting like many suggested on the internet.  I also factory reset the TV and Sonos  to see if this would fix the issue.  I made sure TV and Sonos s/w were up to date.  Nothing fixed the issue.  Finally- after researching the issue on the internet, I found this to be a known issue and found a work around.  I had to disable the ‘anynet + (HDMI-CEC)’ setting un

I have a sonos amp that currently powers, and its situated across the room from where my TV is. All of the inwall speaker wires are at the location of the amp, that’s why its there. I am wondering if I were to purchase a sonos sounbar system, would I be able to connect the amp to the soundbar wirelessly to power my surround sound speakers? Connecting the soundbar to the amp via a cable is out of the question. They are both on the same network, however its wifi. I could use ethernet but I’ve actually had better compatibility with having the amp on wifi due to having several other era 100 and era 300 speakers on the same network via wifi. I read that if one device is on wifi, they should all be on wifi.

Hi, I bought the pro ject carbon vinyl player thinking it would connect straight up to my beam. I have 2 One SL as surrounds and a sub mini. I bought the beam circa 2021. Do I need to buy something to connect the record player to the Sonos system? thsnks in advance

I have been with sonos from the inception, I loved and recommend it to countless people. I have a huge setup with mixed generations. But I'm having the worst sonos experience for the last 5 months on my android phone (Samsung Galaxy ultra s25). Hoping the issues will be fixed but I'm losing hope. The basic s*** like I can't find devices in the app, it keep asking to register the new device, searching for devices every time I open the app... Driving me nuts, the whole concept of sonos to me is quality of music at the touch of a button. My TV sound (through a DAC converter) shows in my Sonos system as a source (Line-in), and when pressed it does show a signal (signal symbol fluctuates), but no sound comes. This has worked in the past but has stopped working some time ago. I have tried a lot (swap optical cable, power resets, adjust settings in app) but nothing works. When removed the Line-In source disappears so it is evident that it is correctly connected. Any tips??

Afternoon all. Appealing to experienced hands as always as I’ve had no success to date with this onePreviously I purchased a 1st gen Hue Sync to add to a Panasonic GZ2000 running with a Sonos Arc, Pair of Sonos One’s and a Sonos Sub. The TV also had a Roku stick, A Nivida Sheild and an Apple TV box. But I could never get it to work and returned it. This was maybe three or four years back.Now I’m in the fortunate position of being able to set up a new room, again with a new flagship Panasonic, a Sonos ARC Ultra, a pair of Era 300’s and a new sub and would again like to try at adding add a Hue Sync. Most likely we will add the same Roku, Nividia, Freesat and Freeview boxes. Not sure how many HDMI’s are on the Panasonic …. I think 4 … its the Z95B.Possible to get any set up guidance from those having success here please? Or any limitations? Or is it even possible? I know there was a 2nd gen Sync launched a while ago but can’t see any real data on what sets that one apart.I also read that

We have had Sonos speakers for several years, but we keep losing connectivity and have to reset everything. We have a Google mesh system throughout the house, so WiFi is not the issue. We are ready to throw it all out, it’s a horrible experience. How do we fix this?

I have arc ultra and two new ERA 300s. Sound is amazing for music from Spotify, but extremely low volume with DirectV. Very frustrating.

Hello, Just bought a Sonos Arc and found out that one of the streaming services on my Android TV provides home theater sound in AAC 5.1. After fiddling with the setup and looking on the Internet, I found that Sonos does not support AAC 5.1, and it is downmixed to PCM 2.0. Some questions:1-  Are there any suggestions how to get AC3 to Sonos Arc? I’m now using an Android player capable of software transcoding AAC 5.1 to AC3, but it’s not an ideal solution. Maybe there are hardware transcoders capable of the task? Or a system-level utility for Android? Or maybe some TVs are capable of such transcoding? The only one that was suggested up to now is to use Nvidia Shield, which is told to be capable of transcoding everything to AC3. Surely something else can then do it as well?2- What is the reason for Sonos to not support this format? Is there a chance we would get support at a later stage? Thank you in advance!

Hi,I have a facility with 5 Sonos Ports. each in different floor. each Port connected to dedicated Amp and speakers.All Ports reside on the same network (VLAN)the need is to be able to make the 1st Port determine the music that would be played through the rest 4 Port devices.Is that possible to do through using the Port devices only?thanks 

Just received the Sonos “Immersive Set with Beam” couldn’t wait to get it up and running. I’m in my 70s so please reply slowly…. Over the years I’ve had several systems that always allowed me to set a baseline volume level for each speaker in a surround sound configuration. I spent about 4 hours this afternoon on the Sonos App and no such luck.  I remember reading a blog about placing each ERA100 in its own room and going that route, with that, I was able to set the volume of each speaker but not able to save it when done.  Was hoping for the ability to save those settings that would stay proportional increased or decreased the grouping volume.  I though perhaps the “Zone” function would do that but didn’t have any luck.  Any help would be appreciated.
