I want to add a bass booster to give my home entertainment system more low-mid range bass. I already have 2 sets of Play 3, 2 sets of Play 1,l

speakers,’plus a Playbar for my TV but also connects to music if I choose.

All about 10 years old but still work great. Can anyone recommend a unit? I’ve looked at the shop but worried about backwards compatibility with both app and existing Play1 and 3’s and whether I need a small or larger bass booster- my house is a small mid terrace open plan.

Appreciate any advice.

If by “bass booster” you mean subwoofer, then I would suggest the Sub Mini if you will be listening to music most of the time.

The Mini is a sealed designed and produces a tighter more punchy sound that is best for music IMO.

The Sub 1,2,3 and 4 are ported and produce lower frequencies than the Mini. The design is very suited for films.

This is just my opinions of both and what I would use them for.

You can use either Gen 1,2 or 3 of the Sub or the Mini with the speakers you own. Here is the compatibility list for the Mini
