Glad you were able to get your system up and running.
To be honest I don’t believe all the factory resets (FR) were necessary. Although you may have forced the issue by doing so many FR’s.
Neither you nor those who responded to your ask for help will know what was the exact cause of your issues. All the FR’s did was to erase any value information that may have lead to a root cause. On the other hand maybe you called Sonos Tech Support and they assisted you?
I, like @nik9669a find it hard to believe the app update caused your issues. There were no other posts similar to yours which sheds doubt on the app being the cause. That’s not to say that in your case it wasn’t as with Tech one-offs do occur. It’s just rather suspect.
Well…your issue is resolved (for the moment). I encourage you that if things go south again please answer the questions and the information requested by community members. If you are reluctant to do so then call Sonos Tech Support for assistance. BUT, by all means don’t Factory Reset your system unless directed to do so.
Enjoy your Sonos 😊.
