Hello,

Have there been any discussions/thoughts about adding an “Outdoor” soundbar to the Sonos product mix??  I leave in the south and have a covered patio where I have a TV.  I would love to add a Sonos soundbar to my collection (only have Sonos products in my house) but there is High Humidity in the summer.  Will the current lineup of Sonos Soundbars be able to with stand the high humidity in the summer??  My patio is covered and the Soundbar would not get wet, just the humidity.

Sonos doesn’t share information about product lines in development.

That said the soundbars aren’t rated for humidity nor any kind of moisture exposure.

  1. Warning: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this apparatus to rain or moisture.

That is what is in the Arc Ultra product guide under Important Safety Information.

I don’t know how well a Sonos soundbar will work outdoors. They are designed to reflect sound off surfaces to get the right affect.

I’m not sure the sales volume would justify development costs?

And there has been no ‘rumors’, either here in the Sonos boards, or in the press.

A Sonos Amp and a pair of the Sonos/Sonance outdoor speakers would be good. Weatherproof cabinets for the Amp are available.
