Why doesn’t my tv remote control all my devices?

if I turn on (utilize) all my speakers and use my tv remote (Samsung), it only changes the hdmi wired Beam. The tv control will change volume up/down and mute.  The side speaker have to be adjusted through the Sonos app.

So what do you suggest I designate 4 One SL’s  and Beam green 2.  I do not have a sub yet.

With 4 One SLs you would set 2 as fronts and 2 as rear surrounds. After it’s set up, there’s no need to use the SonoSequencr app again. The room appears as such in the Sonos controller and is controlled as a regular Home Theater room in the Sonos app.

Since this in not supported by Sonos, anything else you want to know should be asked over on reddit.

Are they set up as Surrounds or as additional Sonos Rooms?

Surrounds should adjust with the soundbar.

Sonos systems do not support side speakers. How have you got your speakers set up?

Only the “room” with the soundbar will respond to the tv control volume.

I have 4 speakers and a beam. Two are paired as left and right for front, and the other two are paired as left and right for rear. I wanted to be able to tune as stereo sound.

That works well for streaming music sources but for tv use the 75 ms delay to the additional Rooms / Pairs when Grouped with the Beam frustrates a lot of folks. With the rear Pair changed from a Room to Surrounds there will be no delay to them, the delay will remain to the other Room / Pair.

The tv remote only controls the Home Theater Room, not rooms Grouped to it, for that yo,u would use the Sonos App.

There's no such thing as left and right for front with a Beam.  The Beam, like all soundbars, already has the front left/center/right speakers built in.  What you have is two speakers paired as a separate room grouped with the Beam and surrounds, which is not a recommended setup.

If you have an iOS device, use the app Sonosequencr to add front surrounds to your Beam. As long as the other two speakers are added as rear surrounds, all speakers will respond to volume adjustments as they will be seen as one room in the Sonos app.

If you go the SonoSequencr route, as Mr. T mentioned, just know that Sonos does not “officially” support that configuration.

That being said, I added two One SLs as fronts about a year ago and I’m very happy with it. That room has a Beam 2, Sub 3, One SLs front and Era100s rear surrounds.

The app developer has a reddit with good info on setting it up properly. It’s a “must read”, if you decide to try it.

I don’t use Sonosequencr, but in the Sonos software, if one room is designated as one ‘room’, then the software controls all the speakers together. I’d assume this software does the same. Things would be very different if they’re set up as two rooms.

I’ll try tonight. I’ll delete all the individual group speakers and reinstall all under one group name.
