Been enjoying Sonos for years with only minor issues.  After moving speakers, I’ve been unable to reconnect to WiFi.  I’ve tried unplugging my Network Acces Hub (modem/ router) and all Sonos products, then reconnecting in proper order – no luck.  Factory resets on all products – no luck.Connecting Play 5 (Gen. 2) with an Ethernet cable has succeeded, but when I disconnect the cable the speaker disappears.  Attempts to enter my correct wireless code, result in an “unable to connect” error.  I’ve succeeded in connecting Era 100 but when I play a song, the icon continually spins…no song being played. My gut tells me it’s a WiFi/ Network problem, but nothing has changed and it’s worked fine in the past.

I have a Sonos Beam 2 and Ace Headphones.I have set up the headphones for audio swap and it works fine whether through the app or via the swap audio button on the headset. The problem I have is when trying to set up TrueCinema. I get it started and the Beam 2 emits the sounds so it can do it’s spatial awareness set up. I then get the spinning circle on my phone that just goes on and on and doesn’t end.I have tried numerous “fixes” from Google etc.Reset and re configured my Beam and Headphones plus reloaded the app after rebooting my phone. Also switched everything off (including my Router) and started from scratch to no avail.I have tried it with TV output on, Phone bluetooth on (with Ace paired and without but still keep getting the circle and “wait” message

My Sonos Beam connects to the TV starts playing then drops. I have tried everything I can do. Still not working. I disconnected and connected it again, but it keeps dropping.

Hello. I have just bought a new TV (Hisense 50E7QTUK). I have followed the instructions, I believe carefully, to set up the new remote. Obviously, I have connected it using the optical connection. When I get to the point during setup to press UpVolume, I get the usual attached error message. Now, here’s the odd thing. If I try with Bluetooth switched on for the TV/Remote comms, the message appears after some seconds (ie, times out, expected behaviour). If I switch Bluetooth off (as recommended on many forums) so that my remote is purely IR, the same error message appears straight away. I have also tried an old, IR only control. I have also factory reset my Soundbar. The remote batteries are fresh and there is clear line of sight. What’s next please?

hello, there is conflcting information online that sonos beam 1st gen is compatible to the latest SONOS APP, the black icon they call S2 - does anyone have the 1st gen Beam working on the latest Sonos App? any comments appreciated - thanks PS i do have a mixture of early sonos products and the new ones Arc Ultra / FIVE and trying to connect the Beam to this network

Hello,I bought an Era 300 for my office intending to connect my desktop using Bluetooth. When connected it works great. However, waking up the computer and getting the Era to play sound is a nightmare every day.Sometimes it will start if I start an app like YouTube TV. It will never start if my first app is Teams in meeting. Sometimes it won't start unless I reboot the machine. I have had to completely reset the bluetooth connection.I am ordering a line in cable in hopes this will resolve this issue, but this connector looks super short. What cable do I need to buy from my desktop -> connector to reach the computer?Thank you,-Rebecca

Recently I bought a Sonos move because I wanted to be able to group it to my Sonos Beam audio and have separate audio control. Every time I group it to the beam the audio on the move cuts out every ten seconds on the dot. I thought maybe it was the speaker so I got an Era 100 instead. It only does it on tv audio and not music sources from my phone. I’ve tried factory resetting both the beam and the era 100, changing different audio output settings on my tv to bitstream, pcm, changing audio to compressed in the Sonos app, rebooted the router which sits about 10 feet away from the speakers. Adjusting the group audio delay fixes it but then there’s an obvious delay to the era 100 which defeats the point of grouping them. If anyone has any guidance or run into this issue I’ve tried everything I have been able to find how to fix this.

If I listen to music during the day and use all my Sonos products including the arc ultra everything is fine. Later in the day or evening I turn on the TV connected to the arc ultra, all the speakers play the TV sound but all the speakers in the house seem to be 10 times louder than the arc ultra,  it’s a very unpleasant experience for my ears. Is there a way to set Sonos not to use the other speakers when I turn on the tv? Otherwise I have to go in the Sonos app and configure it properly before turning on the tv, kind of defeats the convenience of having the soaps system.

My Sonos Move has a steady green light. It will not connect to Wi-Fi and does not show up on Bluetooth Seems I have done a reset to no avail. Any suggestions would be very helpful

I’ve received a replacement for my malfunctioning Beam Gen2 (same model replacement). I have 2x One SL’s on my current WiFi/System.  setting up the replacement Beam went fine through the app. At the end the app said to power cycle if I didn’t see the device on my app. I’ve power cycled the Beam and my router several times. Still nothing in the app. I double checked to make sure the One SL’s are working on the same network. They are paired as a stereo set and working fine so I doubt this is a wireless network issue.

I have been told by Sonos support that my Play 1s are no longer compatible with my Sonos system and are therefore defunct.  They offered me 30% off new ones. I am finding this very hard to accept. Anyone else had the same issue?

Hi all,I’m hoping for some advice after an S1 - S2 migration has gone wrong.I bought an Era 300 and a Port today. I also had two legacy S1 devices (Connect + Play:5 Gen 1), which I removed and factory-reset using the S1 app. I couldn’t upgrade my existing system to S2 as it said my remaining devices could only be S1 compatible, so Sonos Support advised a full manual reset of my remaining 4 speakers and rebuild. After rebuilding: Play:1 and Play:3 added fine Era 300, Port, and two older speakers, another Play 1 and One completed setup and updates, but failed at the final step and show as unregistered in the app and couldn’t be added to my Sonos account Things I’ve tried: Router reboot Ethernet connection during setup for those devices that have them Power cycling all devices Restarting iPhone/iPad Reinstalling / restarting the app Has anyone seen this before, or know what blocks registration when setup itself completes? Any ideas welcome — I’m stuck with half a working system a

Hello all. New to the Sonos ecosystem and an having this issue as described by a previous post. The post was locked with. I solution being provided and I have searched far and wide for a solution. All of my Sonos speakers, no matter the room they are in, will go into a “perma-mute” showing a solid green light. Only way to unmute is to physically touch the volume on the speaker or to go into the app and tap the unmute button. Please help!

After some weeks, the sound at certain frequencies is distorted and muffed. Went through all the steps from support and now I am waiting for a replacement. However, and based on all the users I see here with the same problem, I assume there is a design and engineering problem in the product. This speaks very bad about Sonos. I moved from a Sennheiser Ambeo Plus soundbar to Sonos as read multiple good reviews, but seems I made a big mistake...

Hello I have an arc ultra and sub 4 connected to a Bravia 8. Once in a while when I turn on the tv and put on a show or game to voices are all very deep sounding. Claire from modern family has a very deep sounding voice for instance. The only way to fix it is to reconnect the arc ultra via the app which is rather tedious. If that does not happen it some how is corrected in the next day or 2. Any advice or troubleshooting tips appreciated

I’ve got and Arc Ultra, Era 300s, and Sub 4 and just purchased an Amazon Fire TV that is Dolby Atmospheres capable.  However, when watching a movie with Dolby Atmos, I am only getting Dolby 5.1. Trying to figure out what settings I need.  For digital audio format I know I’m not supposed to use PCM or Auto; should I use Dolby Audio or Passthrough?  For ARC mode, do I select ARC, eARC, or Auto?  Any other settings I need to be aware of?  Does the quality of the HDMI cable matter?

Hi! The volume slider worked for the first hour I used the product. Now, it's just an empty slider with no handle. I can't adjust the volume remotely, only on the device.  Inconvenient:) I found an only topic, about a year ago, where a friendly person collected diacnostic data but the topic was closed before a solution was shared to the dozens of people that reported the same issue.  It sounds like I have the same problem and hope to hear what I can do. Thanks!

I am looking for what is the best way to integrate my Denon AVR X4500H into my Sonos system.  Ideally I would like to be able to output the Sound on the TV to multiple sonos speaker, Like watching a game and being able to stream the audio out.  I tried using the line in on my exiting Era 100 but that did not seem to work.  USBC to RCA nor USBC to HDMI both cable failed to detect a line in signal. I was thinking of getting the port, but that does not look like it has HDMI and I am wondering if this would work.  I also was looking at the AMP and this does have HDMI, but I am really not looking to amp any speakers, I am only looking to bridge in and out by Denon onto my Sonos Network.   I am not opposed to getting new hardware but I want to be sure I am getting stuff which will integrate.

I am trying to use the NHL App to send a radio broadcast of a game to a Sonos Move speaker via AirPlay.  I can select the radio source in the NHL App, start the radio broadcast on my iPad, then select AirPlay and send the stream to my Sonos Move Speaker. This works fine. I then go into the Sonos App, select the Sonos Move speaker and set a Sleep Timer for 1 hour.  That works and the Sleep Timer starts its countdown.  However, at the end of an hour the indicator light on the Sonos Move speaker flashes white for 2 seconds (the normal signal the sleep timer is finishing) but the AirPlay audio stream continues to be broadcast to the Sonos Move speaker. I assume this is a bug with the Sleep Timer.  Has anyone found a work around?  Thanks.  Dave Wilkinson

Hi everyone,I’ve been experimenting with setting up multi-room audio on my Sonos system, but I’ve noticed that sometimes playback between rooms goes out of sync by a few seconds. I’ve tried restarting devices, checking the network, and updating the app, but the issue persists.Has anyone experienced this before? Are there recommended network settings, firmware tweaks, or other adjustments that reliably keep multi-room playback perfectly in sync?Any tips or insights would be greatly appreciated.Regards,Dave Moderator Note: Removed hyperlink. My tv shows the beam 2 connected in settings. But the sony Bravia 9000h doesn't play audio I have checked the speakers of tv and sonos beam separately (they work) The beam doesn't play the tv audio and it's completely silent. Have tried repeated resets Any other options?Change the HDMI cable ?

I did try searching here, but can’t find anyone asking the same question? - I currently have a Sonos 5.1 setup in my lounge (Beam / Sub Mini / 2x Ones) - I would like to be able to access my Music Library in the kitchen, but at present I don’t have another Sonos speaker, or want the hassle of taking one out of my 5.1 setup to use in the kitchen? We do have a Echo Dot (Gen 5) in the kitchen - What I want to do is play music from my Music Library with the Echo Dot in the kitchen? - I don’t need voice commands to do so & happy to select music from my Music Library via the Sonos AppI can’t see a way to add the Echo Dot speaker via the Sonos App settings - Amazon Alexa App shows all the speakers in my Sonos 5.1 setup in it’s settingsI hope that makes sense & any help would be much appreciated … Paul

Hi, I have been having issues with AirPlay since iOS 26 was released. During beta testing iOS I have submitted multiple bug reports to Apple asking them why my Apple Music audio will not play when the next song plays to my Sonos speakers. I have to manually skip the song in order to get sound working again. Music does continue in the iOS device, but no sounds plays to my Sonos speakers. Sometimes AirPlay will just not even connect to any of my speakers and I have to either turn WiFi on and off on my iPhone for it to work.  I have been beta testing newest iOS release and Apple sent me an email saying they fixed the issue, but they did not and I continue to have disconnects and audio issue. My UniFi wifi is setup as recommended by Ubiquity for Sonos and AirPlay. (Issue was happening since 9:50PM-11:00PM on 01/04/2026) Thank you.
