So I connected a audio technica atlp 120-usb turntable to an existing group that consists of 2 sonos fives and a sub 3. The connection used was line in to the right five. It works. Almost. I get great sound from the left five and the sub but not the connected right five. Weird…Can any of you kind folks shed light on this and how to get pair of fives to work together?Thanks

I am using the current Sonos app (Controller for Mac OS S2 Version 17.2) on a 2020 iMac running MacOS Sequoia 15.6.1. I have an Arris Model NVG578HLX router connected to a TP-Link TL-SG105 Ethernet switch. I have a Sonos Five connected to the switch via Ethernet cable. The Five (left) is paired with a second Five (right) and a Sonos Sub. I have five Sonos One SLs in various rooms. All speakers are showing they are in Wireless Mode 0 (SonosNet). I am having a problem with the speakers cutting out randomly, even if I just am playing music through 2 or 3 speakers instead of the whole system. This was happening when they were on Wi-Fi, before I connected the Five to the switch. I thought changing from Wi-Fi to SonosNet would resolve the issue but it has not. Note: the Sonos app and each speaker’s firmware is up to date. When I play Sonos Radio, all speakers play as expected. The issue appears when I am playing Apple Music, specifically my personal library mirrored in Apple Music via iTunes

What do I do when my Sonos speakers suddenly keep cutting in and out?

Hi, new to Sonos Home Theater and Home Theater in General.I am building a house where the 65” television will be in a space that is 20’ wide by about 20’ deep with a 15’ flat ceiling.  The rear of the space opposite the television is the kitchen so the actual room is much deeper.  The furniture used for television watching (sofa and chairs) will be arranged in a U shape approximately 15’ x 15’ to rear of sofa’s and chairs within the larger living area space.  The floor will be tile with throw rugs.  There is a large glass sliding door on one of the side walls.  My question is whether the Sonos Arc Ultra Home Theater setup will work well within such a larger volume.  Will there be undesirable echo’s, will the 15’ ceilings be a problem?  With the planned furniture layout the rear speakers will have to be place in the rear corners of living area space, or about 20 feet to rear and off to the side of the television on cabinets or small table. Just purchased a Sonos Ray and got it in mail today and went to setup and it’s giving no indication that it is powered. No light, sound, and not showing up on the app. How do I fix this issue or is it defective.

Greetings from Rome, Italy :-)I have a question for the experts, because surfing the internet I've always found conflicting answers.On the right wall, I have a door with a glass panel in the center, so I'd like to eliminate the problem...As you all know, our Sonos systems "reflect" the side channels of audio and the Atmos effects onto the walls.For this reason, I've always thought that curtains weren't a good idea, because they would absorb these reflections, ruining the audio experience.But obviously, a surface like glass isn't a good one either...On the internet, I've found confirmation that glass isn't good, and they recommend "closing the curtains." But that seems contradictory to me! Or am I wrong? Absorbent curtains shouldn't be good for Sonos audio, since they could then affect the side reflections...Can any experts clarify this for me?And then, more importantly, how do I solve the door glass problem? Hi all.I’ve been trying all morning to get this set up, and I have failed. I’m normally pretty good with tech, but I cannot get this to work in the way I want.I have:Beam Gen 2 Play:1 x 2 as satellites. Connect Audio-technica turntable (with line out)The turntable and connect are a birthday gift for my wife. She loves vinyl. She hates tech. I need a way that she can just hit start on the turntable, and magically music will come out of the speakers.Currently the beam and play:1 are connected to the TV as a surround system. I tried grouping the connect and beam etc as a separate group called “record player” and set it to auto play, but it doesn’t appear to have worked. I still have to go to system, and link the 2 when I play a record.Any tips on the best way to set this up?Thanks

Hello, I have an issue where my Sonos system, a Beam, 2 Era 300, and a sub are not able to play.I have a Sony A80K OLED, the Beam is plugged in via hdmi to the Earc input. I also have a 4k apple TV and a PC for gaming. Prior to having the PC I had a PS5 and don't remember having any issues, but currently no matter what input/device I'm using I will get a message stating the external audio system is unavailable the only thing that seems to help is unplugging the TV power cable, I have tried many different settings on the TV, the PC, etc. I can probably provide specific answers to specific questions but I'm getting so tired of not being able to enjoy Sonos sound with my TV and gaming. Please help.

Hi everyone,I’m planning to upgrade my 1st gen Sonos Connect, which has been connected to my HiFi for years and has worked flawlessly (and still does) alongside a few other Sonos speakers around the house. I’ve been using the S1 app all this time without any issues, so the recent S2 app problems haven't affected me.That said, I rarely use the Sonos app unless I’m grouping speakers, or setting new speakers up. My main go-to has been Spotify Connect. But with Spotify now increasing prices in Australia, still no CD-quality streaming, AI-generated tracks flooding my playlists, and an app that's become cluttered with podcasts and audiobooks, I’m ready to switch to Tidal or Apple Music for a better app experience, and better sound quality – especially through my HiFi. I have recently moved and have brought some but not all of my system with me. I have a new router. When setting up, I can see the components I want to add (sub and play 1s) but when I try to add them I am asked to sign in as system owner. I then end up in a loop and can’t add anything. Any suggestions?

Hey all,Have had Sonos since many years, and with mix of first and second generation products, ie 1,3,5 and soundbar w subwoofer. Actually still installed the boosterNavigating and selecting music with various Apple products, from iPhone 11 Max, through iPad to the newest iMac.Since the January SOnos update, I still face problems with very slow response when anting to change, and the very annoying issue, that sometimes some of the SOnos component aren’t available for selection. Actually sometime not in 1 Apple products (iPhone), but then selectable on the iPad.I want to start this conversation towards Apple use of SOnos, with older a newer Apple products to older and newer Sonos products.Any guidance ? Any learnings?Looking very much forward to your comments. Thanks

I have bought a Roam2 and want to add it to my system . The app tells me to sign us as the system owner , and when I log in I get into a loop and  keep getting this message about signing is as the system owner . What am I doing wrong?  

When I open “Die Drei ???” in the Sonos with Spotify as the music source, the infinite scrolling is buggy. Sometimes alnums get skipped, sometimes when I scroll down, I see the same albums again. I’m using the line-in entrance to drive a stereo paired Sonos Five speakers, joined by a Sonos Move 2 speaker.All components have the latest software updates, including the Sonos app.Any pause in the audio source longer than a few seconds, causes the Mone 2 to disconnect from the currently playing set of speakers - namely the line-in driven pair of Sonos Five which do resume playing correctly.The only way to restore playing from the Move 2 as well is through the app, re-joining it to the paired Five speakers (that are connected via the line-in). In other words, if there is no constantly playing sound/signal - the Move 2 will disconnect and require re-joining every time playing resumes.I’ve tried: Turning off and back on the Move 2 speaker. Updating all system components (app itself and the latest Sonos system updates). Changing Sonos network channel. Killing the Sonos app once the Move 2 is correctly connected/joined and is playing.But nothing helped so far.  

Voice on update is now excellent. It was very bad before and needed subtitles. Now everything is way more balanced with the right volume of surround to voice. PLEASE do not f.... This up by changing it. Leave it. I have a beam with small bass and surrounds s2I've had hi fidelity systems for 40 years and it is now excellent. 

Hi, I own a hotel and have several separate groups of speakers in different parts of the hotel all running on the same SSID .This works ok, but the staff have to usually select ‘switch system’ in the morning as the iPads dont seem to stay connected to the group of speakers that was selected previously when they arrive to work in the morning. When you select switch system you get a list of ‘Rooms’ with the different number of speakers beside the room number.  This mixes up daily so the order the list is in changes so making it difficult for the staff to identify what ‘Room’ relates to what area as some of them have the same number of speakers . Is there a way to name the ‘Rooms’?online articles says there is but when I try it, it seems to relate to the speakers not the ‘Rooms’Hopefully someone can help me.
