sonos beam 2 connecting issue with Bravia tv x9000h

My tv shows the beam 2 connected in settings. But the sony Bravia 9000h doesn't play audio

I have checked the speakers of tv and sonos beam separately (they work)

The beam doesn't play the tv audio and it's completely silent. Have tried repeated resets

Any other options?

Change the HDMI cable ?

Might be time to call support, they have tools we users don't.

Is the Beam connected to the ARC or eARC port?

In my Sony I had to go through the settings menu to enable using external speakers. The Sony manual helped.

I think I ended up unplugging both from the wall for a couple minutes after doing the settings  too.

If you are using the Sonos HDMI cable and it is fully inserted at both ends you should be good. Some other cable that fits and meets the required specifications should also work.

Hi thanks.

It's connected with Earc only

(3 rd hdmi port from top on the 9000h )

The tv recognises  it

But after all the reset etc etc and walkthroughs by chatgpt . The volume is very low every time

At 95 to 100 is where it's barely audible in the tv

The tv speakers work very well at appropriate volume levels

And Sonos as such works well when i stream music from sonos app.( Correct volume levels )

Can't understand or work around the low volume issues on the  tv

Thanks for all your inputs in advance
