Sleep Timer Doesn't Work with an AirPlay stream source

I am trying to use the NHL App to send a radio broadcast of a game to a Sonos Move speaker via AirPlay.  I can select the radio source in the NHL App, start the radio broadcast on my iPad, then select AirPlay and send the stream to my Sonos Move Speaker. This works fine.

I then go into the Sonos App, select the Sonos Move speaker and set a Sleep Timer for 1 hour.  That works and the Sleep Timer starts its countdown.  However, at the end of an hour the indicator light on the Sonos Move speaker flashes white for 2 seconds (the normal signal the sleep timer is finishing) but the AirPlay audio stream continues to be broadcast to the Sonos Move speaker.

I assume this is a bug with the Sleep Timer.  Has anyone found a work around?  Thanks.  Dave Wilkinson

Why not use the timer on the external device to stop the AirPlay 2 stream? I certainly have that capability in iOS.

As an aside, I hope you’ve called Sonos Support to discuss it. I don’t use timers much, and the hard data from your system might be helpful when they pass the issue up the chain.
