I have downloaded the new app to my iPhone and one iPad and these devices are no longer able to connect to my Sonos system. Whereas I’ve kept the old Sonos app on another iPad and am still able to connect fine. i have contacted Sonos who were unable to fix my issue. Is this unique to me or is anyone else experiencing the same?

I am SO frustrated with this thing.   But I now think it’s an APP issue.  I have an original ROAM with a charging base.  I use it mainly out on our deck and grouped with speakers in the same area, ie: kitchen and family room.  Lately every time I use it then place it on the charger for the night the next time I go to use the Roam, it isnt in the app.  I have to do the main reset (12 Sec) then the roam will start playing whatever music the “group” that its not a part of is playing,  App says that its there, but powered off or asleep,  No amount of button pushing on Roam changes the app status but the music plays and volume is controllable from Roam.  All the SONOS products are great,,,,, this thing has been a head ache from day one!!!!  About to just relegate to a very expensive BT speaker.  Any one have a fix?   Again,, this time I think the issue is the app. 

Due to the disaster with the new app, I started looking into the recent Sonos developments. I was totally surprised to find out that there is a web interface that can control my boxes at home! Only protected with username password, no two factor auth. In the context of the software development skills that Sonos so publicly displayed, I lost all confidence, that Sonos can do proper web service development or even proper secure development. So in my eyes, the web service that exposes my boxes to the internet is to be considered totally insecure. It represents an unacceptable risk to my personal local network and data.With that I revoked internet access for my Sonos boxes and only use Airplay2. Now I want to sell my Sonos setup as long as the prices for used boxes are still ok but I do not know if I should update the boxes before I do.I was wondering if anyone has found any indication what firmware changes have been done after 78.1-52020 (my current firmware version). Hi, i’ve made a fallback from the new Sonos android disaster app to the old gold edition Sonos v.16.1 app.Everything seems to work fine… until i needed to update my music library index to add my new purchased music.When i try to update my music library index - i get a message that i have to update the app before i can perform this :-(Has anyone a solution for this using v.16.1?The windows app is still great, but can’t update the music library index anymore.I’m using a NAS for all my music that mysteriously disappear if i update to the new Sonos android disaster app (properly the SMB v.1 bulls***).Any help is appreciated :-)Regards - a sad Sonos owner...

Hi,I’m trying to decide on what would be better for music listening. Mostly streaming off Spotify. I’m a bit concerned that the Fives may be replaced soonish which leans me towards the newer Era 300s but I’m not sure which would be better for my usage.  I may decide to wall mount them. Would that negate having the up-firing tweeters? Im really stuck choosing. I’ve spoken to two Sonos reps and one said the Fives and the other the Era 300s. Any help would be super appreciated! Hello, I am writing from Korea to inquire about the current situation.I purchased the IKEA SYMFONISK series but am unable to connect it using any method. I have tried using the audio PIN, the PIN on the back, and even connecting via an Ethernet cable, but nothing works.Suspecting an issue with the speakers themselves, I attempted to connect three different SYMFONISK speakers, but none worked. I also considered that the issue might be with the switches, so I tried two different Korean switches(iptime, netis), but they too failed to connect.Thinking it might be an issue with my mobile devices, I tried connecting with two Android phones, two iPhones, and an iPad, but none were successful.It seems to be an app issue; the older version of the app doesn’t even allow connection without an update. I was considering Sonos Radio over my Pandora subscription. Is it possible to stream music from my iPhone? I understand the free services specifically geared for a Sonos speaker. My thoughts are the HD streaming services like any other streaming service, is this true?

I changed my router and needed to change my wi fi network. Sonos support recommended that I reset the connection to factory settings, otherwise I could not connect. When connecting sonos products via the app, it finds them but cannot update, shows that an error has occurred when searching for updates What I didn't do and I rebooted the router and unplugged the sonos from the network, only to turn it back on 15 minutes later,nothing helps. I have used the Android app and the Iphone app,which I have reinstalled, but anyway it shows can't update the devices, it shows error, the Iphone shows that I need to log out of my account, but there is no way to do it in the app. Please help.

Hi, I currently own a 1st gen Beam and was curious if it would be possible to play Dolby Atmos content if I get a pair of Era 100’s as surround speakers, or would I need to upgrade to the 2nd gen Beam in order to access Dolby Atmos?

I’ve recently been gifted a Sonos Play 1 and it’s possibly the worst thing I’ve had. First I couldn’t connect to the WiFi but now that’s the least of my issues as I can no longer do anything. I’m constantly told I need to sign in as the systemowner. I have done. I’ve reset, restarted, deleted and reinstalled and still get this message. It’s not linked to the old owner. When I sign in onto Sonos online I can see that it’s been set up since middle of April when I received it but it won’t allow me to remove it or do anything. I know it’s a lot of waffle but I’m losing my mind with it. 

Hi, favor to ask the community as i’ve been searching for the last hr but no luck. I have a Samsung Frame TV and just installed an AMP + 4 sonos ceiling 8” speakers. I do not want a soundbar. So i’m curious how to get the sound working?  I’m assuming HDMI-ARC from the FrameTV box to the AMP via HDMI cable? cheers 

I tried to charge and start my Roam, but when I turned it on, NO POWER, so I tried to charge it with its USB-C cord and it would still NOT TURN ON! I can’t reach Sonos Support because I have to wait on phone for 65 minutes! Any ideas??   

I have purchased the Arc & Sub about 3 months ago (brand new from Costco) and last week added a pair of Era 300 speakers (brand new from Costco). When I originally added the 300’s, I paired them together in stereo. As I was about to tune them with the TruePlay app (the option was available), I figured I should add them as surround speakers, then tuned all 3 speakers & Sub. When I tried to add them, the app stated that no surround speakers could be detected. No problem, I removed the stereo pairing then added the surround speakers to the Arc & Sub in the “Living Room”. BAM! Easy as pie! Next I went to tune the speakers but, the TruePlay option was gone from the App. I am I missing something?

Like the title says… When I am using just one of my sonos speakers everything works great and is snappy. When I group my speakers there’s a very long delay when playing a song, skipping a song, or turning up the volume. Everything is still synced, so I’m not having issues like I’ve seen other people have with delay issues. Everything just takes 5 to 10 or more seconds to respond. I have a sonos move and a sonos play 1. This all started when I added the older play 1 to the system. Individually they both work great. My internet is 1 gig and I have a nice modem and mesh network in my home. I restarted my modem and mesh network this morning, before that gets recommended haha. Also, I’m using Tidal. Thanks for any help.

Hi Everyone,Just bought Sonos In Celing Speakers with Amp.Upon setting up got Error 1101, I have tried to unplug turn on and off both amp and router and factory reset router. Seems that Amp cant get the update.Any other ideas?

Is anyone using the new app able to successfully browse music within LivePhish+ or nugs.net? all works just fine in previous versions...and while I can authorize the services now, there’s no ability to play music or browse them

Goodnight. I bought a Sonos One SL and every time I try to register, in the update stage it appears error 1101. I researched that this error is related to the update. I've already changed and restarted the routers and I still can't do it. Help me please?.

 Hello Sonos community.  I have been having serious issues and difficulties with my Sonos for a long time, and I am desperately hopeful that I can find some solutions here.  I will provide as much detail as possible.  My setup: Two (2) Play 3s, one (1) Roam, and one (1) Connect Amp, which is hard wired to speakers and a record player.  I have had the Play 3s and the Connect Amp for about ten years.  I use the S2 app on my Samsung phone.  We mostly listen to Spotify, but I also have a music library on my computer's hard drive.  We listen to vinyl records as well. Over a year ago, I started having playback issues, where the music would cut in and out, sometimes in one room but not the others, an sometimes all of the rooms at the same time.  It got so bad that we could not listen comfortably at all.  In addition, the responsiveness on the app was generally very slow.  While music is playing, I open the app to adjust the volume or pause, and the song title showing is incorrect (it shows a

If I buy a Sonos soundbar can my in-ceiling speakers (powered by an Amp in the basement) be somehow linked to be surrounds?  If so, which soundbar should I get? Thanks!  

How come the latest update to the Sonos App is only available for iPhone and not for iPad?
